Abstract

Customer retention is an important element of any banking strategy in today's increasingly competitive environment. The purpose of this study is to examine and explain the effect of service quality, personal selling, and complaint handling on customer retention in Islamic bank customers in Indonesia with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population of this study was Islamic bank customers in Indonesia with sampling using a purposive sampling technique, the number of samples used in this study was 107 respondents. The data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS using Warp PLS version 7.0 as a data processing tool. The results of this study indicate that service quality, personal selling, and complaint handling have a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction itself has a significant positive effect on customer retention, while the three independent variables have no significant effect directly on customer retention. Different results when service quality, personal selling, and complaint handling have a significant positive effect on customer retention after being mediated by customer satisfaction variables.

Abstract

This paper aims to seek the difference between Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) and Village Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa). This paper also seeks to observe the impact of the establishment of BUM Desa on KUD and the possibility of synergy between the two institutions. In this study, the methodology used is normative legal research with a comparative approach. This research shows that both institutions have the same goal, namely to enhance the village community’s quality of life. Even so, BUM Desa has a wider scope of business than KUD. In addition, this study also shows the possibility of synergies between the two business entities. Empirical studies are very open and needed to strengthen the synergy idea between the two business entities. The originality of this paper is because it examines the legal and socio-economic aspects of KUD and BUM Desa.

Abstract

Capital market companies are currently developing, one of which is the spread of Islamic mutual funds which is facilitated by technological advances, namely the availability of platforms to make it easier for the users. PT. Takjub Teknologi Indonesia is an agent selling mutual fund securities, which carries the Ajaib application for mutual fund transactions. Companies that act as intermediaries for investors and investment managers. The formulation of the research problem is: What is the role and perspective of the sharia application of Ajaib as an agent selling mutual fund securities? This study aims to determine the role of the Ajaib application and review it in Sharia studies. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. This research resulted in several points as follows: 1). The role of the Ajaib application has the main task of marketing the securities of Islamic mutual funds to investment managers. Supported by the function of investor complaints and operating standards in writing, 2). Based on the Sharia review of the role of the Ajaib application, it fulfills the pillars and requirements of the samsarah contract, is following the sharia maqashid, and meets the existing fikhiyah rules, and in its application, this application meets muamalah etiquette.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (IPM) measures how people can access development results in obtaining income, health, and education. This study aimed to determine whether Islamic bank financing, poverty, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) have a relationship and influence the Human Development Index in 15 cities in Java Island for 2015-2021. The quantitative approach uses secondary data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for Islamic bank financing data. In contrast, Poverty and GRDP data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The data used in this study is annual data from 2015 to 2021. The estimation method used is panel data regression with the Random Effects model. The study results that the Islamic bank financing variable has a significant positive effect on HDI. Meanwhile, the Poverty and GRDP variables significantly and negatively affect the Human Development Index. Simultaneously, the variables of Islamic bank financing, poverty, and GRDP affect the Human Development Index.

Abstract

This research provides empirical evidence of the effect of fiscal decentralization on poverty alleviation and used data from 505 districts/cities in Indonesia from 2010 to 2019. The poverty rate is used as an indicator to measure the social condition of the area with the parameter of the percentage of the total population below the poverty line, while the fiscal decentralization indicator uses approach to the size of the ratio of PAD to total regional income and expenditure. The estimated results used the fixed effect model shows that fiscal decentralization have significant role to reduce the level of poverty in districts/cities nationally. From this estimation result, the recommended policy formulation is pro-poor fiscal decentralization through strengthening regional financial capacity, both optimizing Original Local Government Revenue (PAD), allocating Transfer Funds to Regions that are specific grants, improving the quality of spending and regional financial management, as well as mechanisms monitoring - better evaluation. In addition, the effectiveness and efficiency of regional government policies in dealing with socio-economic issues such as unemployment and growth population must also be considered.

Abstract

This study aims to create a new research model with a variety of variables to comprehend and forecast the key factors that influence young people's decisions to use digital banking. This study uses a quantitative method with a multivariate analysis approach, for this reason, the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique is used. According to the findings of this study, respondents' perceptions of the quality of digital banking products such as mobile banking, SMS banking, phone banking, and internet banking do not influence them to continue using digital banking. Considerations of usability, benefits, risks, and ease of use dominated respondents' decisions to use digital banking services.
