Abstract

In planning alternative strategies, there are a variety of analytical tools that can be used, each with its own advantages and limitations. For example, indicators of prosperity are usually measured through Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Although GRDP provides an overview of the contribution of each sector to the regional economy, this data is proportional (share) and is not able to describe the relationship between sectors as a whole. In other words, GRDP cannot show the extent of inter-sectoral linkages as the main driver of the regional economy. Therefore, this study uses input-output analysis. This analysis is considered more comprehensive because it is able to describe the linkages between economic sectors in a region as a whole. Through this approach, the impact of production changes in one sector on other sectors can be known more clearly. In addition, input-output analysis can also measure the impact on community welfare through primary inputs in the form of added value. Thus, changes in production in certain sectors can show how much the prosperity of the people in the region has increased or decreased.

Abstract

This study analyzes the operational efficiency of Islamic banks in Indonesia using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with an input-oriented approach. DEA is applied to evaluated how Islamic banks optimally utilize their resources in producing outputs. The input variables used include operating costs, total assets, and total labor, while the outputs include third-party funds (DPK), financing disbursed, and net income. The results show that there are variations in efficiency among banks, where some banks have achieved optimal efficiency, while others need improvement in resource management. This research provides strategic insights to improve the efficiency of Islamic banks at the regional level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze user preferences in choosing online transportation service applications using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 51 respondents from various regions in Indonesia, who are active users of Gojek, Grab, and Maxim applications. Four main criteria were used as the basis for evaluation, namely service speed, price, promotion, and driver availability. The results of data processing show that service speed is the most dominant factor in decision making with a weight of 51%, followed by driver availability (23%), promotion (15%), and price (11%). Of the three applications studied, Gojek obtained the highest priority value (0.47), making it the top choice of respondents. This research shows that operational aspects such as speed and service availability are more decisive than price considerations alone, and confirms the relevance of the AHP method in assisting complex, user preference-based decision making.

Abstract

The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is one of the provinces in Indonesia whose economy is dominated by the Manufacturing Industry; Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries; Accommodation and Food Services; Information and Communication; and Construction. To determine the leading sectors, it is necessary to analyze linkage indices, as leading sectors are those with high dispersion indices, which are capable of driving economic activity. Therefore, this study uses the Input-Output analysis method to identify sectors with high linkage dispersion indices. The study utilizes the 2016 Yogyakarta Input-Output Table and analyzes the linkage values of potential sectors. Potential sectors are selected from 17 business fields out of a total of 52 industrial sectors. The analysis results show that the three sectors contributing the most output are Manufacturing Industry (Rp38,461 billion), Transportation and Warehousing (Rp30,615 billion), and Construction (Rp22,915 billion). The Transportation and Warehousing sector has the highest forward linkage of 1.822, indicating significant potential in driving the output of other sectors. On the other hand, the Public Administration, Defense, and Mandatory Social Security sector records the highest backward linkage of 1.602. The Manufacturing Industry sector has a backward linkage value of 1.515 and a forward linkage value of 1.750, while the Electricity and Gas Supply sector records respective values of 1.521 and 1.632. With high forward and backward linkage indices, these two latter sectors fall into the leading quadrant and have strong potential as the main drivers of DIY's economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Profit Sharing Ratio (Nisbah), Sharia Money Market Securities (SBPU Syariah), and the Covid-19 pandemic on Islamic banking Third Party Funds (DPK) in Indonesia. The data used is a monthly time series secondary data from January 2018 to December 2023 consisting of 72 observations, obtained from OJK Sharia Banking Statistics. The analysis methods used were multiple linear regression and quadratic functional form regression with the application of STATA. The results of the study show that the variables of Profit Sharing Ratio and Sharia Money Market Securities (SBPU Syariah) have a positive and significant effect on Third Party Funds. However, the relationship between the Ratio and the Third Party Funds is non-linear, where the increase in the ratio to a certain point encourages the growth of the Third Party Fund, but will decrease after passing the optimal point. Meanwhile, the Covid-19 dummy variable also has a positive and significant influence on Third-Party Funds, showing that during the pandemic people tend to increase their deposits in Islamic banking.
