Abstract

Differences in prosthetic leg design and mechanism affect lower limb muscle activity. Unbalanced muscle activity has the potential to reduce the function of physical mobility and change the balance point which has an impact on reducing performance, causing a decrease in the productivity of people with amputation disabilities. This study aims to determine the effect of awkward body posture and type of prosthetic foot on muscle activity in prosthetic foot users. This study used a within subject design with a total of six participants. Independent variables include body posture and type of prosthetic foot. Electromyography signal measurements on the biceps femoris (BF), gactrosnemius (GC), rectus femoris (RF), erector spinae (ES) muscles were performed to evaluate the level of muscle activity. Electromyography signals were processed with a 10-450Hz band-pass filter. ANOVA Repeated Measure obtained the results of awkward posture affecting muscle activity, especially in GC, BF, and ES muscles in the normal leg. In conclusion, the type of prosthetic leg does not affect muscle activity, but body posture has a significant effect on muscle activity although not in all muscles. This study can be used as advice to transfemoral amputation patients to use prosthetic feet that can reduce the risk of WMSDs so as to improve daily performance like normal individuals.

Abstract

Data diolah menggunakan Two Way ANOVA with replication, metode Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test dan Friedman Test.

Abstract

Warranty plays a crucial role in marketing new products as they signal the quality of the product to consumers. However, implementing warranty also requires warranty providers to incur additional costs known as warranty costs. The annual warranty costs for global automotive manufacturers have increased from 2018 to 2022, with fraudulent warranty claims estimated to account for 3-15% of the total warranty costs. This study aims to develop an effective decision model to minimize warranty fraud on batteries for cars produced by PT. X. Car battery warranty claim data from 2019, recorded and inspected by PT. X, was used to develop a failure model, warranty policy models, and decision-making model using Nash game theory. The findings indicate that the Pro-Rata Warranty (PRW) policy is more effective in reducing warranty fraud. The results also suggest that customer behavior in committing fraud is influenced by several factors, including product reliability, penalty costs, inspection costs, battery manufacturing costs, battery purchase costs, and the period of Free Replacement Warranty (FRW) policy. Optimal inspection strategies and appropriate warranty policies can significantly reduce warranty fraud, thereby reducing the warranty cost burden borne by the warranty provider.

Abstract

Technological developments allow human-robot collaboration resources to be carried out in the rubber (latex) cutting process in plantations. The human-robot collaboration activities are carried out simultaneously in each rubber tree but have different work tasks. Research regarding human-robot collaboration resource costs in the rubber (latex) cutting process activity is still minimal, so it is necessary to discuss and calculate the resource costs of human-robot collaboration by developing mathematical models. Research regarding the resource costs of human-robot collaboration in the rubber (latex) cutting process is still minimal, so discussion and calculations are needed with the development of mathematical models. Mathematical model development is not just a theoretical exercise. The practical goal is to minimize costs by considering human resources, robots, and human-robot collaboration. Through rigorous testing, we aim to minimize the cost of each resource. Test results show that human-robot collaboration resources can significantly influence cost minimization. Cost minimization is accomplished by programming an algorithm in optimization software. This program is used to make it easier to complete the optimal solution in terms of relatively fast time, which refers to the precedence diagram of the rubber (latex) cutting process.Based on the results of experimental data, the development of a mathematical model functions logically to solve resource placement problems, resulting in a minimum cost of IDR 1,618,234,564,595, total human resources of 1 person and robot resources of 1 unit.

Abstract

As a nation situated within the Pacific Ring of Fire, Indonesia is home to numerous volcanoes. Of the many active volcanoes present, approximately 40% are inadequately monitored. This situation positions Indonesia as one of the countries facing a significant threat from volcanic disasters. One of the critical challenges in disaster management lies in the logistics of disaster relief, particularly in managing perishable food supplies to meet the needs of affected victims. The handling of such logistical items must ensure that no expired products are utilized. One approach to addressing this challenge is to delegate management authority to third parties, specifically vendors who also handle daily demands. This strategy is intended to allow perishable products to be managed through rotation to fulfill all requests while vendors maintain vigilant oversight of existing inventory levels in warehouses. This research aims to evaluate the risks that a vendor must confront when implementing such a collaborative arrangement. The evaluation is conducted using Monte Carlo simulation to determine the optimal scenario that vendors can select. Analysis results indicate that the implementation of Scenario 2, which assumes that a disaster may occur once throughout the planning period, represents the most favorable scenario for vendors. The study underscores the importance of proactive disaster preparedness and efficient resource management in a country prone to volcanic activity. By exploring innovative approaches to logistics and inventory control, stakeholders can enhance their capacity to respond effectively to potential disasters, ultimately contributing to improved disaster resilience in Indonesia.
