Abstract

Differences in prosthetic leg design and mechanism affect lower limb muscle activity. Unbalanced muscle activity has the potential to reduce the function of physical mobility and change the balance point which has an impact on reducing performance, causing a decrease in the productivity of people with amputation disabilities. This study aims to determine the effect of awkward body posture and type of prosthetic foot on muscle activity in prosthetic foot users. This study used a within subject design with a total of six participants. Independent variables include body posture and type of prosthetic foot. Electromyography signal measurements on the biceps femoris (BF), gactrosnemius (GC), rectus femoris (RF), erector spinae (ES) muscles were performed to evaluate the level of muscle activity. Electromyography signals were processed with a 10-450Hz band-pass filter. ANOVA Repeated Measure obtained the results of awkward posture affecting muscle activity, especially in GC, BF, and ES muscles in the normal leg. In conclusion, the type of prosthetic leg does not affect muscle activity, but body posture has a significant effect on muscle activity although not in all muscles. This study can be used as advice to transfemoral amputation patients to use prosthetic feet that can reduce the risk of WMSDs so as to improve daily performance like normal individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence students' decisions in choosing a major in the context of competitive new student admissions, especially in private universities. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire collected online from 201 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. Eleven independent variables were tested, including department accreditation, department reputation, department image, lecturer quality, curriculum, alumni, campus/department facilities, variety of UKM, campus partners, campus location, and job prospects using Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show a simultaneous significant model (F=12.55; p<0.001) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.421 and an Adjusted R² of 0.387, indicating that 42.1% of the variation in major selection decisions can be explained by the variables in the model. Partially, the variables of department image (β=0.2235; p=0.028) and curriculum (β=0.1992; p=0.047) had a positive and significant influence on students' decisions in choosing a department, while the other variables did not show a significant influence. This finding indicates that strengthening a positive department image and presenting a relevant curriculum are strategic priorities to increase the attractiveness of a department

Abstract

Dodol D'Tungku, a traditional food MSME in Bojonggede, Bogor, uses wood-fired stoves that generate combustion emissions and expose workers to smoke. This community service program aimed to improve production conditions and partner capacity through an IoT-based emission filtration system, Occupational Health and Safety training, green branding, and Sustainable Business Model Canvas (SBMC) assistance. Using a Participatory Action Research approach, activities included baseline assessment, hazard mapping, technology installation, training, and evaluation with pre-tests, post-tests, and satisfaction surveys involving 14 participants. Operational measurements indicated reductions of 55.7% in PM2.5 and 55.1% in CO after filtration. Knowledge scores increased from 39% to 90% for IoT filtration and OHS, 41% to 90% for green branding, and 27% to 86% for SBMC. The program strengthened participants’ knowledge and supported cleaner production and sustainable business planning.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi usaha anggota Komunitas TDA Tangerang Raya melalui penerapan manajemen persediaan. Hasil survei awal menunjukkan bahwa pelaku UMKM masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, antara lain fluktuasi permintaan pasar, pengelolaan bahan baku dan barang jadi yang belum optimal, serta pencatatan persediaan yang masih sederhana sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan stockout maupun overstock. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam menerapkan pengendalian persediaan yang sederhana dan sesuai dengan karakteristik UMKM. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara daring melalui Zoom Meeting dalam bentuk penyuluhan, pelatihan, praktik, dan diskusi interaktif. Materi yang diberikan meliputi konsep dasar manajemen persediaan, pencatatan stok, First In First Out (FIFO), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Reorder Point (ROP), Safety Stock, serta ABC Analysis. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test, post-test, dan kuesioner kepuasan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai manajemen persediaan setelah mengikuti pelatihan serta seluruh peserta memberikan penilaian positif terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan kategori “Setuju” dan “Sangat Setuju”. Selain meningkatkan kompetensi peserta dalam mengelola persediaan secara lebih sistematis, kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan luaran berupa artikel ilmiah, Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI), bahan ajar berupa poster dan materi presentasi, serta publikasi pada media massa. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung peningkatan efisiensi operasional dan daya saing UMKM melalui penerapan pengelolaan persediaan yang lebih efektif.
