Abstract

The development of digital crowdfunding platforms for collecting zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) presents significant opportunities, but utilization remains low, particularly on the orangbaik.id platform owned by LAZ Dompet Al-Quran, demonstrating a gap between the potential and realization of digital Islamic philanthropy. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, digital literacy, and religiosity on the intention to donate through the platform. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method, with 53 LAZ Dompet Al-Quran donors as subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS. The results showed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and religiosity had a positive and significant influence on the intention to donate, while digital literacy had no significant influence. This finding confirms that the usability factor is the main determinant compared to ease of use, with the support of religiosity. The implications of this research provide theoretical contributions to the development of digital Islamic philanthropy literature as well as practical recommendations for zakat institutions in optimizing strategies to increase the use of the ZIS crowdfunding platform.

Abstract

The rapid development of the halal pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry has ranked second in the SGIE 2024/2025 report. This means that consumer demand for halal cosmetics and personal care is increasing. This study aims to analyze the influence of e-WOM, halal awareness, understanding of Islamic consumption, and price perception on purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow halal cosmetics on TikTok. Several studies have highlighted the relationship between e-WOM, halal awareness, and price perception in halal cosmetic purchasing decisions, but there are still few studies that integrate understanding of Islamic consumption as an important variable, especially in purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow halal cosmetics on the TikTok platform. The research method chosen is binary logistic regression analysis with primary data through an online questionnaire for Gen Z Muslim consumers. The results of the study state that the variables e-WOM, halal awareness, understanding of Islamic consumption, and price perception partially influence purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow halal cosmetics on TikTok. This research is expected to be useful for the halal cosmetic industry in designing and developing effective products and marketing strategies to reach Gen Z through social media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of productive zakat programs on the welfare of mustahik (recipients) with business income as a mediating variable at LAZNAS Nurul Hayat. The background of this study is based on differences in empirical findings related to the effectiveness of productive zakat in improving the welfare of mustahik in a sustainable manner. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where primary data is collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results show that business capital assistance and entrepreneurial characteristics have a positive and significant effect on the welfare of mustahik and business income. However, business income does not have a significant effect on the welfare of mustahik, so it does not mediate the relationship between independent variables and the welfare of mustahik. These findings indicate that the welfare of mustahik is not only determined by an increase in income, but also by the effectiveness of capital and the characteristics of individual zakat recipients. This study provides practical implications for zakat institutions in designing more targeted and sustainable productive zakat programs.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of spiritual guidance, business mentoring, and capital assistance on the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within an Islamic philanthropy-based empowerment program. MSMEs play a vital role in economic growth; however, they continue to face structural challenges, including limited financial resources, inadequate managerial capacity, and restricted market access. This research adopts a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a total sample of 45 MSMEs. The findings reveal that business mentoring and capital assistance exert a positive and statistically significant impact on MSME development. Business mentoring enhances managerial capabilities and adaptive capacity, while capital assistance strengthens production capacity and financial resilience. Conversely, spiritual guidance does not demonstrate a statistically significant direct effect, although it contributes to ethical formation and long-term behavioral development. These results underscore the importance of integrating financial and non-financial interventions to design more effective and sustainable MSME empowerment strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of halal production on exports of the halal food and beverage industry in Indonesia and the influence of Islamic banking financing on exports of the halal food and beverage industry in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with a regression study. The results of this study indicate that halal production, proxied by the total production of halal-certified food and beverages, has a significant and positive effect on exports of the halal food and beverage industry in Indonesia. This indicates that increasing domestic halal production volume will significantly increase exports. This condition is in line with the view that product quality assurance and halal certification are important factors in boosting the competitiveness of Indonesian halal products in the global market. Islamic banking financing, proxied by total financing of the processing industry sector, does not significantly affect exports of the halal food and beverage industry. This result is thought to be due to the still low proportion of productive financing channeled to the real sector, particularly the halal food and beverage industry. Data show that the structure of Islamic financing during the study period was still dominated by consumptive financing, thus not being able to optimally drive export performance
