Abstract

To improve efficiency, quality and safety in the work environment, the application of Kaizen culture is indispensable. This study aims to analyze the application of Kaizen culture in OHS with the 5S method, namely Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set in Order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Shitsuke (Sustain) at PT. Indonesian Automotive Manufacturing. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collected through direct observation and interviews of workers. The results showed that there were still shortcomings in undergoing OHS at PT Automotive Manufacturing Indonesia. It is necessary to increase workers' awareness of the importance of OHS again in order to reduce the risk of work accidents, create a clean and orderly work environment.

Abstract

When businesses do batching for products that have varying levels of demand, work will usually be distributed unevenly, creating a high probability of overtime or idle time on the production line. These peaks and valleys in production result in an overload for workers. On one hand when demand skyrockets, and lower productivity on the other hand when demand plummets to its lowest point. There is an imbalance in the production process, so it is necessary to equalize what we know as Heijunka. So, heijunka means conversion to a production level. The definition indicates that the production run on the workstation or factory floor is production leveling or production leveling. Consumer demand is broken down into smaller lot or batch sizes. The applied production schedule spreads the production demand more evenly (demand leveling) in turn among all product items, so production is relatively stationary (production leveling). This avoids the buildup of products that are continuously produced for a long time, and long lead times for other products that are not produced. Waste due to stock accumulation and waiting time can be prevented by heijunka. Based on the research data using qualitative methods with interviews, significant analysis results were obtained, namely that before using the Heijunka method, there was a buildup in the first hour of 37 units, while in the second hour there were only 13 units. However, when using the Heijunka method, it was successfully averaged to 25 units per hour for 8 working hours, so that the total production time reached 480 minutes. With this method, production time equalization is achieved so that there are no unit models that are produced independently at the end of production, this also minimizes delays in customer requests if there are product order variables.

Abstract

Inadequate quality control at PT Fitria Jaya Lestari has caused problems for the company. This problem is characterized by a fairly high level of defects in Legano products, reaching 11.28%. The problem arises due to the absence of an effective quality control method at PT Fitria Jaya Lestari. To analyze this problem, the DMAIC method is used in conjunction with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The purpose of this research is to identify the causes of the high defect rate and provide improvement suggestions to overcome the defect problem in Legano products. The method applied in this research is DMAIC with Fault Tree Analysis to find out the causes of high defect rates and propose improvements for defect problems in Legano products. The results of the analysis show a DPMO value of 28,443.58 or the possibility of 28,443 defects in a 12-month period, with the causes of defects including Humans, namely the lack of job training for employees and the low quality of human resource graduates, Machines, namely temperatures that are too high, Materials, namely raw materials made from rubber waste, and Methods, namely the absence of guidelines for cutting. Given these results, there are several suggestions for improvement such as conducting job training for employees, recruiting workers with good quality graduates, changing raw materials from rubber waste to rubber seeds, and making work instructions and jig parts as cutting guides.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of product reviews and ratings and Shopee Live on consumer purchase decisions on the Shopee e-commerce platform, with consumer trust as an intervening variable. Along with the rapid development of e-commerce in Indonesia, platforms such as Shopee have offered various features to improve the shopping experience, including product reviews, ratings, and live streaming features such as Shopee Live. Product reviews and ratings are often important indicators for consumers in making purchase decisions, as they provide social proof that increases consumer confidence in the quality of the products sold. Meanwhile, Shopee Live allows for direct interaction between sellers and buyers, which can reduce uncertainty in online shopping, as well as strengthen consumers' emotional connection and trust in products and sellers. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey design to collect data from Shopee consumers who actively use the Shopee Live feature and often buy products on the platform. The collected data was then analyzed using Smart PLS version 4, a software for Partial Least Squares (PLS), which allows testing the relationship between the variables involved. The results of the analysis show that product reviews and ratings have a significant positive influence on consumer trust, as well as Shopee Live, which has also been proven to increase consumer trust. Consumer trust then mediates the relationship between product reviews and ratings as well as Shopee Live and purchase decisions. These findings highlight the importance of consumer trust in mediating the influence of e-commerce features on purchase decisions, as well as how interactive features such as Shopee Live can strengthen aspects of trust that ultimately influence consumer purchase decisions. With these findings, this research contributes to the development of digital marketing strategies on e-commerce platforms, especially in strengthening elements that can increase consumer trust, such as product reviews, ratings, and direct interactions through the Shopee Live feature. Sellers on Shopee are advised to pay more attention to the quality of product reviews and ratings and use Shopee Live as a means to build stronger consumer trust and drive higher purchase decisions.

Abstract

The escalating Israeli-Palestinian conflict has sparked a global wave of solidarity, including in Indonesia. Boycotts against American products, such as McDonald’s, have become a popular form of protest. The purpose of this study is to analyze animosity, ethnocentrism, and religiosity on boycott intentions at McDonald’s in Jabodetabek. The method of analysis in this study uses quantitative methods using primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires as many as 130 respondents. The sampling method in this study is non probability sampling with purposive sampling technique with the testing tool used is SmartPLS. The results of this study indicate that the animosity, ethnocentrism and religiosity variable affects boycott intentions.
