Abstract

Simulation of acoustic wave propagation in the surface layer area is carried out by taking a positive value acoustic velocity gradient so that in this simulation there will be a wave phenomenon trapped in the surface layer area. In this study, acoustic beam emission was conducted by varying the angle of incidence and length of the beam used, and the determination of the acoustic velocity gradient was carried out using the Runge-Kutta order of order 2. The results showed that at depths of 0 to 40 meters with an acoustic velocity of 1405 m/s, for a length of 1 meter and a gradient pattern of +2.5 obtained a minimum angle of incidence of 0.09 radians with a wave propagation of 250 meters. Comparison between analytical and computational results on wave propagation in the surface layer area is a 4.51% error.

Abstract

Simulation of acoustic wave propagation to determine the shadow zone area using computational methods has been carried out using negative value gradients. The study was conducted by varying the angle of incidence and variations in the length of the beam used. This research was conducted by comparing analytical results with computational results. The results of this study indicate that at a depth of 500 meters with a sound speed of 1493.1 m/s, a beam length of 1 meter, and a gradient pattern of -0.1, a maximum angle of 0.255 radians is obtained with the shadow zone area being at a depth of 0 to 800 meters and a distance of 5000 meters of wave source. The value of the difference or error in analytical data and computational data is 0.0817%.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis or opinion mining is a natural language that processes words to find out opinions, attitudes, or moods about certain things. Word processing in this study related to the process of classification in textual documents, which was classified into three classes, positive, negative, and neutral. Data obtained from social media Twitter were related to netizens' comments as many as 1000 comments. These data were crawled using keywords of the “Pilpres2019” and “Jokowi”. This study compared the performance of the Naive Bayes and k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) algorithms with the lexicon approach in classification. The aim of this study was to compare the level of accuracy, precision, and recall of Naive Bayes and the k-NN algorithm with the lexicon approach. From the evaluation, we concluded that the combination of the k-NN algorithm and the lexicon approach could improve accuracy in this sentiment analysis case. Generally, the k-NN algorithm with lexicon approach in which the k value is k = 5 has better performance with a 77% of accuracy level, followed by Naive Bayes with an accuracy of 81% of accuracy level.

Abstract

The acceleration of the growth in the rate of oil palm seed roots is a non-chemical solution in nursery needs. Utilizing the electricity sector as an increase in germination productivity. In this case, this study examines variations in the electric field direct current 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1000 V/m and the exposure of time 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. The results showed exposure to an electric field direct current in voltage of 100 V/m increased germination at each exposure time by 17%, 21%, 20% and 26% with exposure times of 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes to control. However, a maximum intensity of 1000 V/m inhibits the germination process for each time of 30, 45, and 60 minutes by 8%, 9%, and 12% in the control. Exposure to direct current in electric field intensity and exposure of time affect root metabolism in the germination process.

Abstract

Greenhouses become one of the buildings where the cultivation of plants. The concept of environmentally friendly greenhouses is included in the current model of urban agriculture. The design of the greenhouse building concept is environmentally friendly by utilizing passive cooling technology. Passive cooling technology is used in this design to balance the temperature and humidity of the greenhouse through natural energy flow. The purpose of the research and design of this building is to investigate the temperature differences inside and outside the greenhouse space. The results of this study know that passive cooling with and without water greatly affects the temperature in the room. Passive cooling without water will produce hot temperatures in the room compared to passive cooling using water.
