Abstract

The aim of this research was toknow garbage influence to water quality of Limboto lake on Gororntalo province. The samples wew taken in part of surface, middle and base of the lake. The methods were base on qualitatitive and quantitative methods. The analyze of sedimentatiton, temperature and pH used quantitative methods. The changes of colour, aroma and turbidity on Limboto lake detected base on qualitative methods. The coliform bacteria detected base on qualitative and quantitative on the laboratory.Result of this research show as the both research location has experienced turbidity, colour and aroma. The area was not having garbage higher of temperature than the one. On the contrary, the area having garbage higher sedimentation of than the one. Chemical analyze has similar pH on the both locations. The qualitative and quantitative analyze of Coliform bacteria show area research >24.00 sel.ml-1 water. Thet means, Limboto lake has passed thershold value base on regulation of govern ments no. 82 the year 2001. Therefore, the publics around of Limboto lake expected keep cleaning and prevent contamination of the lake.

Abstract

This Research was to determined of the total of phenol content and also to test the antioxidant activity of four lalapan leafs that are kemangi (sweet bacil, Ocinum Bacilicum), kemang (Mangifera kemanga), selada (cress) and also poh pohan (Pilea trinervina). The total of phenol content of extract of lalapan leafs determined as tannic acid, whereas the test of antioxidant activity determined by method of diene conjugation. The result of analysis indicated that the total of the highest phenol content is extract of kemang leaf (1,14 mg/g), followed by pohpohan (0,84 mg/g), kemangi (0,68 mg/g) and also selada (0,54 mg/g). Pursuant to concentration of diene conjugation, knew that the kemang has the highest activity than the other lalapan leafs.

Abstract

Salah satu senyawa yang dapat dijelaskan sifat fisik dan sifat kimianya melalui penerapan konsep ikatan kimia adalah air. Konsep ini telah diterima siswa sejak kelas X . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan banyaknya siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo yang memahami konsep sifat fisik dan kimia air. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa (1) banyaknya siswa yang dapat memahami konsep sifat fisik air dengan benar adalah sebanyak 56,6% teramsuk kategori (cukup) dan sifat kimia air 61,92% . (2) Banyaknya siswa yang mengalami kerancuan pemahaman konsep sifat fisik air adalah sebanyak 43,4% dan kerancuan pemahaman konsep sifat kimia air 38,1%. (3) Pola kerancuan yang didapatkan adalah (a) untuk sifat fisik air yaitu perubahan wujud, titik didih air dan panas penguapan yang tinggi, siswa menganggap bahwa titik didih air dibawah 1000C, serta adanya zat lain yang dimasukkan ke dalam air dapat mempengaruhi titik didih air (b) untuk konsep sifat kimia air yaitu ikatan, rumus molekul dan bentuk molekul,siswa menganggap bahwa adanya ikatan antara satu atom dengan atom lainnya dalam satu molekul adalah ikatan hidrogen, sebaliknya dalam satu molekul dengan molekul air lainnya terjadi ikatan kovalen polar. Sumber kerancuan ini terjadi karena siswa belum memiliki konsep yang benar tentang sifat fisik dan sifat kimia air.

Abstract

The determination of Zinc Concentration (Zn) in seaweed (Eucheuma cotonii) from Kwandang sub district Ponelo beach by Atomic Absorption Spektrophotometriy Method. This is search aim to know the Zinc Concentration in seaweed (E. cotonii) from Kwandang sub district beach with Atomic Absorption Spectrofotometry Method. This process begins with destructed the sample which is clean from organic compounds. Based on the measurement of standard soluble of Zn got the calibration curve with linier equilibration Y = 0,3481 + 0,0766 X and the Zn concentration in sample from Kwandang sub district Gorontalo beach district is 1.862 mg/mL in 8,02 gram sample.

Abstract

The low consentration analysis of Lead, Cadmium, and Copper have been conducted by Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltametry (DPASV) method using Hanging Mercury Dropiping Electrode (HMDE). DPASV method comprises two important steps. The firs step is deposition of a metal at the electrode sufase by electrolysis carry out by controlled potential. The second step is the metal stripping which have been precipitated at the electrode into the solution. The current, that is generated by stripping, is recorded by differential pulse mode. The optimum condition of instrumental parameters are deposition potential -700 mV, deposition lime 90 seconds, stripping rate 2000 rpm, 5 size of mercury drop and supporting electrolyte nitric acid at pH 1,5 which in produced by dilution of 50 L of 65% nitric acid suprapure until 10 mL solution. The precision (coefficient of variation) of analytical method was 9,24% Cd, 9,80% Pb, and 9,68% Cu. The accuracy of analytical method was 2,5% Cd, +1,76% Pb, and +7,30% Cu. The detection limit of analytical method was 29,9760 ng/L Cd, 42,4283 ng/L Pb, and 275,3222 ng/L Cu. The computation of concentration was based on twice addition standar technique.

Abstract

Senyawa bimetalik NiCu(cdta).6H2O mempunyai sifat magnetik yang mengikuti hukum curie dengan nilai konstanta produk ?T ? 1,6 emu K mol-1 pada rentang temperatur 4-300 K. Kompleks Fe(phen)3]2+ adalah diamagnetik (pada spin rendah, LS). Penggantian satu ligan phen dengan dua gugus NCS- dalam membentuk senyawa [Fe(phen)2(NCS)2] menurunkan kekuatan medan ligan, bahwa kompleks tersebut berperilaku spin tinggi pada suhu ruang tetapi terjadi sebaliknya dalam keadaan spin rendah pada suhu ? 175 K. Spektrum transmisi Mossbauer 57Fe pada senyawa [Fe(phen)2(NCS)2] menunjukkan transisi spin terjal pada T1/2? 185 K.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan isolasi dan identifikasi zat warna dari saos tomat. Pada tahap isolasi menghasilkan isolat berbentuk serbuk berwarna merah. Uji kemurnian isolat dilakukan dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis dengan fasa gerak yang berbeda yaitu: Isopropanol : Air : Asam Formiat (40:10: 2); Metanol : Aseton (60 : 40); Isopropanol : Amonia : Air (10 : 1 : 1); Isopropanol : Amonia (4 : 1); Metanol : Air (4 : 1); dan Metanol : Aseton (3 : 2), menghasilkan bercak tunggal dengan nilai Rf berturut-turut : 0,9 ; 0,9; 0,9; 0,9; 0,7; dan 0,9. Identifikasi senyawa isolat dilakukan dengan analisis berdasarkan teknik kromatografi lapis tipis dengan membandingkan nilai Rf dari isolat dengan nilai Rf dari zat warna merah yang dibeli di pasaran Gorontalo. Hasil analisis data kromatografi lapis tipis senyawa isolat diduga sebagai zat warna yang identik dengan zat warna sintetik certified color jenis Ponceau 4 R dengan nilai Rf 0,9. Terhadap isolat dilakukan pula uji kelarutan dan reaksinya terhadap pereaksi-pereaksi tertentu, dan menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut:mudah larut dalam air, dan memberikan larutan berwarna merah jingga, larut dalam gliserol dan glikol, mudah larut dalam alkohol 95%. Warnanya sedikit luntur oleh asam asetat 10%, dengan larutan NaOH 30 % akan menghasilkan larutan berwarna kekuningan, dan isolat ini dapat diendapkan dengan tawas 5%

Abstract

The research about the effect of extract methanol ? Paliasa? leaves (Kleinhovia hospita, Linn) to gastric of mice have been done, which is given orally to improve the scientific data in development of ? Paliasa? Plant as tradisional drug for some kinds of desease. This research has used lest animals of fifteen male micethat divided into 5 groups. Groups I,II,III have been given suspension of extract methanol with 5 % w/v, 10 % w/v and 15 % w/v during 7 days. Group IV has been given acetosal suspension 0,195 % as comparement. Group V have been given Na-CMC as control. Observasion have been done in daya of 8 th then operated the astric of mece which is separated and observea mether there is a gastric ulcer such as blood spot perforation. The result showed that there is no effect to the gastrik of mice by the methanol extract of paliasa leaves.
