Abstract

The aim of this research was toknow garbage influence to water quality of Limboto lake on Gororntalo province. The samples wew taken in part of surface, middle and base of the lake. The methods were base on qualitatitive and quantitative methods. The analyze of sedimentatiton, temperature and pH used quantitative methods. The changes of colour, aroma and turbidity on Limboto lake detected base on qualitative methods. The coliform bacteria detected base on qualitative and quantitative on the laboratory.Result of this research show as the both research location has experienced turbidity, colour and aroma. The area was not having garbage higher of temperature than the one. On the contrary, the area having garbage higher sedimentation of than the one. Chemical analyze has similar pH on the both locations. The qualitative and quantitative analyze of Coliform bacteria show area research >24.00 sel.ml-1 water. Thet means, Limboto lake has passed thershold value base on regulation of govern ments no. 82 the year 2001. Therefore, the publics around of Limboto lake expected keep cleaning and prevent contamination of the lake.

Abstract

This research is descriptive method, the aim of this research is to know the students ability to determine the kinds of chemical compound which found from SMA text book. The population in this research at class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo concist of 93 students academic year 2008/2009. The sample of this research are students XIIB1, XIIB2, XIIB3 and XIIB4. To collecting the sample of research based on the average of the class according to the information which I get from the teacher. The instrument of this research by using the text and three alternative answer, and one of the answer 35 items. The result of experimental text get validasi is 85,66% and the reabilities koefisien is 0,92. The result of this research shows that the percentage of the students at class II SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo who can be identify the kinds of chemical compound include in SMA text book, they are : (a) the bond ionic of ion kation and anion (28%), (b) the bond of kovalen nonpolar at chemical homodiatomic (86%), (c) the bond kovalen polar at the chemical heterodiatomic (50%), (d) the bond ionic at the yudium with simple kation and anion polyatomic (15%), (e) the bond of ionic at the yudiom with kation and anion polyatomic (46%), (f) the bond kovalen polar at the ion polyatomic in one yudium (54%), (g) the bond kovalen polar at the ion polyatomic (75%). The patterns of the students mistakes it can be identifier, there are: (a) relation between the same of two atom nonlogam is a relation with kovalen polar, (b) relations of the differences between two of nonlogam include of ionic compound, (c) relation between cation and anion in one of yudium include kovalen compound polar, (d) relation between cation and anion in one of yudium include kovalen compound polar, (e) relation in between kation and anion in one of yudiom include kovalen compound nonpolar, (f) relation between atom logam and atom nonlogsm include of kovalen compound nonpolar, (g) relation between atom logam and nonlogam of polar.

Abstract

This research is a class action research, which has purpose to increase student's learning achievement in chemical-bond subject by using concept-mapping strategy. The sample of this research is 31 students of 10th2 Grade at SMA Negeri 1 Telaga that consist of 6 girls and 25 boys.The increase of student's learning achievement by using concept-mapping strategy can be seen from the cycle 1 as high as 80.08% to cycle 2 as high as 85.79%.Based on the result above, the treatment hypothesis "concept-mapping strategy can be used to increase student's learning achievement in chemical-bond subject" is approved.

Abstract

The Gorontalo province to the Northern part and South was restricted the area of the coast and sea that were big resources of fisheries nature. Some that could be developed were the cultivation of sea algae. The aim of this research was to identifity all the green algae kind that was found in the Gorontalo province. The method that was used that is the method survey explored that look and identified all the species of green algae that were found without the existence of the certain area unit or without transek of after wards was washed clean and was photographed with the digital camera.

Abstract

This Research was to determined of the total of phenol content and also to test the antioxidant activity of four lalapan leafs that are kemangi (sweet bacil, Ocinum Bacilicum), kemang (Mangifera kemanga), selada (cress) and also poh pohan (Pilea trinervina). The total of phenol content of extract of lalapan leafs determined as tannic acid, whereas the test of antioxidant activity determined by method of diene conjugation. The result of analysis indicated that the total of the highest phenol content is extract of kemang leaf (1,14 mg/g), followed by pohpohan (0,84 mg/g), kemangi (0,68 mg/g) and also selada (0,54 mg/g). Pursuant to concentration of diene conjugation, knew that the kemang has the highest activity than the other lalapan leafs.

Abstract

This research is action classroom research which done at the even semester 2008/2009 academic year. The subject of the research is consisting of 30 students. Which are 7 of them are men are 23 students are women. The research divided in to two cycles that involved by one teacher as an observer. The aim of this research is to increase student achievement at the chemistry subject, salt hydrolysis material by using everyone is a teacher here strategy. The data of this research are collected by observed the teacher and the students activity while the process of teaching and learning is walking also the result of students study that collected through test. The criteria of researchs success is shown by the 80 go 90 of students 6,8, also, the observation that teacher and the students activity get 75%. The result of the research shown that the learning activity that using everyone is a teacher here strategy can increase the students achievement it can be seen by the result the students that get score more than 6, 8 or as 90%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang Efek Antiurisemia Ekstrak teripang pasir (Holothuria scabra) pada Kelinci jantan (oryctolagos cuniculus). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol teripang pasir terhadap penurunan kadar asam urat kelinci jantan. Teripang pasir yang sudah dikeringkan diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol. Kelinci yang digunakan sebanyak 5 ekor yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok. Kelompok I sebagai control negative diberikan NaCMC 1% b/v, dan kelompok II, III dan IV sebagai kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan suspense ekstrak etanol teripang pasir dengan masing-masing konsentrasi 5%, 10% dan 15% b/v. Dan kelompok V sebagai control positif diberikan suspense Allopurinol 0,093% b/v. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata jarak (BNJD), menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol Teripang pasir dengan konsentrasi 5% dan 10% b/v dapat menurunkan kadar asam urat kelinci jantan dan khusus untuk konsentrasi 10% menunjukkan efek yang tidak berbeda nyata dengan Allopurinol 0,093% sebagai control positif

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengisolasi dan menentukan struktur metabolit sekunder hasil hidrolisis buah pakoba putih. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan kromatografi lapis tipis dan kromatografi kolom grafitasi. Hasil isolasi diperoleh isolat sebanyak 1,2 mg. Spektrum resonansi inti proton isolat menunjukkan adanya sinyal-sinyal pada pergeseran kimia 9,61 ppm untuk proton karboksilat (H-karboksilat); 6,52 ppm dan 7,21 ppm untuk Haromatik; 3,71 ppm dan 3,82 ppm untuk H-metoksi. Spektrum resonanasi magnetik inti karbon menunjukkan adanya sinyal-sinyal pada pergeseran kimia 170,64 ppm untuk C-karboksilat; 67,31 ppm untuk C-OH; 52,19 ppm dan 57,83 ppm untuk OCH3. Berdasarkan nilai pergeseran kimia spektrum RMI-1H dan RMI-13C dapat diusulkan struktur dari isolat adalah kelompok senyawa turunan asam orselinat dengan nama 2,4-dimetoksi-6-metil-benzoat.

Abstract

Kulit biji bervarisi strukturnya tergantung pada jenis tanamannya, dan kulit biji sangat berperan dalam viabilitas biji, maka perlu untuk mengenali berbagai strutur kulit biji terutama tanaman budi daya. Hal ini penting karena jika kita mengenali karakteristik kulit biji tanaman yang akan kita budi dayakan, maka kita dapat mengupayakan kondisi optimal untuk mempertahankan maupun memberi perlakuan khusus terhadap biji tersebut agar viabel. Perkecmbahan selalu membutuhkan air dan oksigen. Oleh karena itu untuk memulai perkecambahan, imbibisi harus berlangsung terlebih dahulu. Kulit biji yang keras mencegah penyerapan air dan O2 . Untuk terjadi imbibisi kulit biji harus diskarifikasi. Ini dapat dilakukan secara mekanis (dipecah atau dikupas dengan pisau), atau secara kimiawi. Dalam laboratorium agrikultur (jika diperlukan), alkohol atau pelarut lemak yang lain yang dapat melarutkan bahan lilin yang kadang-kadang menghambat masuknya air, atau asam kuat dapat digunakan. Perlakuan ini akan mempengaruhi viabilitas.

Abstract

Mayonnaise represent the system of emulsion of oil-in-water, where oil rate is 50-85%. Height of oil rate of mayonnaise causes of the oxidation reaction more easy. The aims of this research where to study the effectiveness of antioxidant on its system. The effectiveness of antioxidant in the system attributed by its polarity. The polarity of antioxidant was measured by determining of partition coefficient in octanol-water system (1:1). The effectiveness of antioxidants in the system were determined by Rancimat. Result of this research indicate that third type of antioxidants have the different polarity. The partition coefficient of butylated hydroxyl toluene (BHT) was 91%, t-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) was 79.9%, and trollox was 0.47 (32.0%). From the Test of Rancimat known that the most effective type of antioxidants was TBHQ.
