Purpose: This study aims to explore the role of midwifery practices in promoting maternal and neonatal health, with a focus on the impact of midwifery-led care models, cultural competence, and the integration of midwifery into national health systems. Research Design and Methodology: The research employs a qualitative design, utilizing semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions with midwives, healthcare providers, policymakers, and community health workers in low-resource settings. Thematic analysis was used to identify key themes and patterns within the data. Findings and Discussion: The findings indicate that midwifery-led care models significantly improve maternal and neonatal outcomes by providing continuous, personalized support, which reduces unnecessary medical interventions and enhances maternal satisfaction and emotional well-being. The study also emphasizes the importance of cultural competence in midwifery, as culturally sensitive care fosters trust and enhances health outcomes. Integrating midwifery into national health systems, supported by appropriate policies and resources, is crucial for achieving better maternal and neonatal health outcomes. The research highlights the need to address socio-economic barriers that hinder effective midwifery care in low-resource settings. Implications: The study provides valuable insights for policymakers and healthcare providers, underscoring the importance of supportive policies, adequate resources, and ongoing professional development for midwives. Countries can enhance maternal and neonatal health outcomes by integrating midwifery services into national health systems and fostering cultural competence. The findings also suggest areas for future research, including the need for more diverse settings and mixed-method approaches to provide a comprehensive understanding of midwifery practices.

Purpose: This study aims to determine the level of mothers' knowledge about primary immunization for infants in the working area of Puskesmas Kassi-Kassi Makassar City. Research Design and Methodology: This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 37 mothers with babies aged 0-12 months who visited the Kassi-Kassi Health Centre in February 2023. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Findings and Discussion: The results showed that most mothers had a good understanding of primary immunization, including its definition, purpose, and benefits. The level of education and access to adequate information significantly influenced this knowledge. Most respondents knew that immunization protects infants and children against tuberculosis, pertussis, hepatitis, measles, and poliomyelitis. However, some mothers still lack adequate knowledge, which is often caused by low educational levels and limited access to information. Implications: This study makes a significant contribution to the field of public health by demonstrating the relationship between education level, access to information, and mothers' knowledge of immunization. These results can inform the development of more effective health education policies and programs. This study also emphasizes the importance of ongoing support from healthcare workers in offering counseling on primary immunization. Further efforts are needed to improve mothers' immunization knowledge through intensive and comprehensive extension programs.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Fe tablet supplementation on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women at Puskesmas Dahlia Makassar. Research Design and Methodology: The research method employed was a Cross-Sectional Study, with data collection at a single point in time. The study sample consisted of 35 pregnant women, divided based on their compliance with taking iron tablets. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test to determine the significance of the results. Findings and Discussion: The results showed that 91.7% of pregnant women who regularly consumed iron tablets experienced increased hemoglobin levels, while only 27.3% of pregnant women who did not regularly consume iron tablets experienced an increase. This indicates the significant effectiveness of Fe tablet consumption in increasing hemoglobin levels. This finding also suggests that non-compliance and other health factors, such as infection, may affect the outcome of supplementation. Implications: This study has significant value in providing empirical evidence on the importance of adherence to iron supplement consumption and the need for a holistic approach that includes nutrition education and infection control. The originality of this study lies in its focus on pregnant women at Puskesmas Dahlia Makassar, providing local data that is valid for health policy. Limitations of this study include the cross-sectional design, which cannot determine cause-and-effect relationships, and the limited sample size. Further research with a longitudinal design and larger sample is recommended to confirm these findings and explore other factors that influence the effectiveness of iron supplementation.

Purpose: This study examines the effectiveness of integrative medicine in managing chronic pain, investigating various complementary therapies, including acupuncture and mindfulness-based stress reduction. Research Design and Methodology: This study employed a mixed-methods approach, conducting a systematic review of existing literature and analyzing quantitative data to assess the impact of integrative interventions on chronic pain outcomes. Findings and Discussion: The research findings suggest that integrative medicine modalities, including acupuncture and mindfulness-based interventions, demonstrate promising results in reducing pain intensity, improving physical function, and enhancing overall well-being among individuals with chronic pain. However, limitations such as small sample sizes and short-term follow-up periods underscore the need for further research to validate these findings and explore long-term efficacy. Implications: These findings have a significant impact on scientific knowledge and clinical practice in the management of chronic pain. Integrative medicine offers a holistic and patient-centered approach that complements conventional treatments, highlighting the potential to address the multifaceted nature of chronic pain and improve patient's quality of life. Future research should focus on overcoming methodological limitations and integrating integrative approaches into mainstream healthcare to optimize patient care.

Purpose: This study investigates the implementation and impact of evidence-based practices (EBPs) in nursing care for chronic diseases, focusing on their effectiveness, variability across healthcare settings, and the role of training and professional development. Research Design and Methodology: This research employs a mixed-methods design, integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches. A cross-sectional survey gathered data from nurses, patients, and healthcare administrators across urban and rural settings. In-depth interviews and focus group discussions provided qualitative insights. The sample included 300 participants for the survey and 50 for qualitative analysis. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as thematic analysis. Findings and Discussion: The study found that evidence-based practices (EBPs) significantly improve patient outcomes in managing chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and COPD. However, variability in EBP implementation was noted, particularly between urban and rural healthcare settings, due to differences in resources and support. The research highlighted the critical need for comprehensive training and continuous professional development among nurses. These findings support the hypothesis that EBPs enhance patient outcomes and align with theoretical frameworks such as the Chronic Care Model. Implications: This study contributes to scientific knowledge and practical application by providing robust evidence on the benefits and challenges of EBPs. The findings underscore the importance of targeted training programs and fostering an organizational culture of continuous learning. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies and strategies to overcome barriers to EBP adoption in resource-limited settings.

Purpose: This study investigates the role of maternal health literacy in preventing pregnancy complications and evaluates the effectiveness of various educational interventions designed to enhance health literacy. Research Design and Methodology: This research employed a quantitative design, utilizing pre-and post-tests to measure changes in knowledge, skills, and attitudes among diverse demographic participants. Participants were divided into two groups: control and experimental. Educational interventions were implemented, including prenatal classes, online courses, and community workshops. Data were collected through surveys and analyzed using statistical methods. Findings and Discussion: The study revealed a significant correlation between increased health literacy and reduced pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor. This positive correlation underscores the potential for improved maternal and child health outcomes. Educational interventions significantly enhanced health literacy, with different models showing varied effectiveness based on accessibility and engagement. These findings align with the Health Belief Model and Self-Determination Theory, reinforcing the positive impact of health literacy on maternal and child health outcomes. Implications: The research underscores the importance of tailored educational interventions in promoting maternal and child health. Policymakers and healthcare providers should prioritize developing comprehensive, accessible, culturally sensitive health education programs. Addressing socio-economic disparities and providing continuous support is crucial to ensuring that all mothers and children have equal access to healthcare and can benefit from improved health literacy. Future research should investigate the long-term effects of innovative educational technologies to enhance maternal health outcomes further.
