Abstract

Covid-19 vaccination has been the main focus of efforts to prevent the spread of this global pandemic. The implementation of vaccination policies is crucial in responding to the public health challenges caused by this pandemic. This article examines the effectiveness of extension in increasing the level of community participation in the Covid-19 vaccination program. The extension method is used as a means to educate the public about the benefits of vaccination and the importance of actively participating in the vaccination program. The results showed that counseling was effective in increasing community understanding of Covid-19 vaccination. Counseling also succeeded in reducing the reluctance and doubts that often arise among the community towards the Covid-19 vaccine. Factors such as accessibility, trust, and clear information are key in the success of vaccination extension programs. In this context, the role of public health extension workers is crucial in approaching and educating the public about vaccination. This article also highlights the importance of collaboration between the government, health institutions, and community organizations in disseminating information about Covid-19 vaccination. In conclusion, the implementation of effective counseling is an integral component in efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak through vaccination, by involving various parties in disseminating accurate and relevant information to the public.

Abstract

Improving the quality of public services is the main focus in an effort to increase community satisfaction in Selebar Village. This workshop aims to introduce the concept of integrity to public servants so that they can implement it in every interaction with the community. The importance of integrity in public services not only builds public trust but also improves the efficiency and effectiveness of services. Through this workshop, it is expected that public servants can understand the ethical and moral values that must be applied in their every action. Interactive discussions and case studies will be the main methods in delivering the material to ensure in-depth understanding. The workshop will involve representatives from various government institutions and civil society to obtain a comprehensive perspective. In addition to understanding the importance of integrity, participants will also be trained in effective communication and problem-solving skills. Practical implementation will be the main focus, with discussions on concrete steps that can be taken in everyday situations. Continuous evaluation will be conducted to measure the impact of the workshop in improving the quality of public services in Kelurahan Selebar. The conclusions of this workshop will serve as a foundation for positive change in the culture of public service delivery with integrity and orientation towards the needs of the community at the local level.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism is increasingly becoming a key focus in the development of cities in Indonesia, including in Bengkulu City. This research aims to explore the role of youth in building environmental stewardship character in the context of sustainable tourism in Bengkulu City. Qualitative research methods were used in this study, involving in-depth interviews with local youth, tourism stakeholders, and the environmental community. The results showed that youth have great potential in influencing sustainable tourism practices through their role as social change agents. Youth in Bengkulu City show high concern for the environment, but still need more support and awareness of the importance of sustainable tourism practices. Factors such as education, access to information, and active participation in local activities play a key role in the character building of environmentally concerned youth. These findings have important implications for the development of programs and policies aimed at encouraging the active role of youth in supporting sustainable tourism in Bengkulu City. Strengthening cooperation between the government, tourism industry, and civil society is necessary to create a conducive environment for the growth of environmentally concerned youth characters.

Abstract

Extension of waste management policies in Bengkulu City's tourism areas is a strategic effort to increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. This article discusses the role of extension in educating the public about sustainable waste management policies in tourism destinations. Through a participatory approach, it aims to introduce environmentally friendly waste management concepts and encourage the adoption of more environmentally responsible behaviors. By analyzing effective extension strategies and the challenges faced, this article highlights the importance of collaboration between the government, tourism industry, and the community in creating a clean and sustainable environment in the tourist areas of Bengkulu City.

Abstract

The workshop "Building Anti-Corruption Public Servants" is an event that aims to increase understanding and awareness of the importance of integrity in public services. The event discussed various strategies and best practices in building an organizational culture that upholds ethical and anti-corruption values. Participants were invited to understand the negative impact of corruption on society and the economy, and how each individual in the public service has an important role in preventing it. In addition, the workshop also provided a platform for participants to share experiences and learn from real cases in handling corruption cases in various public service sectors. In this workshop, participants were provided with insights on the role of supervisory and regulatory institutions in overseeing and preventing acts of corruption in the public service environment. Discussions included various legal instruments and policies that have been implemented in an effort to eradicate corruption, as well as strategies to improve transparency and accountability in the management of public funds. In addition, the importance of continuous training and education for public servants to strengthen their capacity to deal with corruption challenges was also a key focus of the workshop.

Abstract

This workshop aims to analyze how key dimensions of public services have changed significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the context of the pandemic, public services have become increasingly important in response to evolving community needs. Through this workshop, stakeholders will identify significant changes in public service dimensions, including accessibility, speed, and responsiveness. Emphasis on innovation and adaptation will be the main focus of this workshop to address the challenges faced by public service institutions. An in-depth analysis of how technology and digitalization have affected the way public services are delivered will be one of the main topics in the workshop discussions. In addition, the workshop will also explore the important role of community participation in improving the effectiveness of public services amidst the pandemic. The discussion will focus on strategies to increase community involvement in the process of public service change. In addition, it will also discuss the important role of leadership and management in managing the changes needed to improve the quality of public services. The workshop will also discuss the challenges faced by public service agencies in adopting new practices and adapting to the changing environment.

Abstract

This paper discusses the importance of workshops in raising awareness of village fund governance and the importance of sound financial administration in that context. Village funds are a vital resource for local development, and their effective management requires a deep understanding of the principles of good financial administration. The workshops offered address various aspects, from financial reporting to risk management, and provide an understanding of the importance of transparency and accountability in the management of village funds. Through active participation in these workshops, it is hoped that stakeholders at the village level can improve their skills and knowledge in managing village funds more efficiently and accountably, which in turn will support sustainable local development.

Abstract

Village funds are a major focus of development and community empowerment at the local level in many developing countries. The importance of accountable village fund management is crucial as it has a direct impact on improving welfare and development at the rural level. Accountability in village fund management includes transparency, accountability, and active involvement of communities in decision-making processes related to budgets and development projects. Without strong accountability, the risk of misuse of village funds increases, resulting in waste, inappropriate use, and even corruption to the detriment of local communities. Through effective accountability mechanisms, such as transparent financial reporting and independent audits, the government and communities can ensure that village funds are used efficiently and in accordance with real needs at the village level. Accountability also plays an important role in increasing community participation in the village development process, by giving them greater access to information and enabling them to provide input and oversight on the use of village funds. The success of development programs at the village level is highly dependent on the level of accountability of village fund management. The importance of accountability in the management of village funds is also closely linked to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs), particularly in addressing poverty, improving access to basic services such as education and health, and ensuring sustainable environmental protection. Countries and international donor agencies are also increasingly emphasizing the importance of accountability in the management of village funds as a condition for supporting sustainable local development. While challenges in implementing accountability in village fund management may exist, such as a lack of administrative capacity and weak oversight, steps can be taken to strengthen accountability systems, including training for village officials and the development of effective community oversight mechanisms.
