Abstract

It can be said that the discovery of metal artifacts, especially those related to war equipment, shows that Buton has economic potential as well as a strategic position. This situation then encourages outsiders to attack and try to control them. The consequences of the war later helped determine the political policies of the Buton government, especially in the defense aspect. As a government institution, although the Sultanate of Buton might be less important internationally, but in terms of the development of Islamic culture in the archipelago, it has an important meaning. The Sultanate of Buton is proven to continue to exist with its various dynamics from 1538-1960.

Abstract

The results of the analysis show that the role of nuclear engineering for archaeological evidence is very useful and needs to be developed and carried out by experts in general, especially in the field of archaeology. As it is known that the analysis using the ordinary chemical analysis method has several weaknesses, including not being able to analyze certain elements, requiring quite a lot of samples because the analysis for one element requires one sample. Meanwhile, the analysis using the relative dating that has been done by archaeologists will be more accurate if it is followed by absolute dating.

Abstract

Basically, this paper contains an alternative presentation of a new approach in archaeological resource management, namely a participatory approach. In the future, it is believed that this approach will be more suitable to be applied and is in great demand by managers of archaeological resources. Obstacles and challenges will of course always come in your way, but the authors believe that the existing obstacles are much smaller than the final results to be obtained, namely preservation of archaeological resources as well as community empowerment both culturally, socially and economically.

Abstract

In line with the pace of modernization and development in all fields, there has been tremendous growth in various sectors of life. The situation resulted in the emergence of transformation and shift in socio-cultural, economic and political values. It seems that Kalang and his wisdom actually survive with his traditional values that used to be the knots of strength that sent these people from time to time. These people are flexible to accompany the changes of the times without having to lose its personality in the midst of the environment affected by the modernization era.
