Barriers are often found in teaching writing scientific papers in college, the most basic is to find, select, specify, and develop a writing topic. These constraints led students lack confidence and do not have the courage to write. Based on the symptoms expressed above, it is important to do the classroom action research in order to improve the process of learning to write papers in the subject of Writing Scientific Writing. One of the lessons that can be used as an alternative to achieve this goal is learning-based Deep Dialogue / Critical Thinking. Based on two cycles of action research found that there was a significant increase in the ability of students to write papers, both the evaluation of the test results and observations at the time of discussion. Students have been able to write papers correctly. The ability of students to write papers has improved in all aspects of the indicator.

Entomology is a subject that studies about insects, so that students better understand the lecture material properly so we need to use the field trip method. The purpose of this research is to know the views of students biology for the use of the field trip method in the Entomology course. The research method used is descriptive. The population in this study were students who took the Entomology subject in even Semester 2018/2019 academic year totaling 14 students. Field trip was carried out in Kampung Sawah of Sampuran, Labuhan Batu, Rantau Prapat, North Sumatra, a forest area with rivers and waterfalls. The data collection technique was interviewed, and the data questionnaire was processed descriptively. The research results of students state that; a) strongly agree that learning activities using the field trip can increase knowledge and more understandable material as much as 86%; b) strongly agree that learning activities can increase interest by 71%; c) strongly agree that learning activities are more attractive by 79%; d) strongly agree that learning activities are not boring by 100%; e) strongly agree that learning activities are more fun as much as 100%; f) strongly agree that learning activities can foster a sense of concern for the environment by 79%; g) strongly agree that learning activities increase motivation by 80%.

Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in learning is the application of thinking processes to complex situations and has many variables. Students can think, but most of the students need encouragement and guidance for high-level thinking processes. High-level thinking skills are very necessary in the current era of globalization. Complex thinking skills will make students accustomed to facing something difficult. Through the implementation of HOTS-oriented character education, students have good character values, namely discipline, hard work, creative and independent. In addition to having good character, students are also able to evaluate, create and have creations so that learning outcomes are expected to be better when compared to conventional methods.

This study aims to determine the ability of Teamwork Skill (teamwork), to find out the collaboration of students in learning science materials using the TGT learning model in the experimental class and DI in the control class. The method used in data collection is the Random Cluster research method which is a type of research including quasi-experimental research, the cluster random sampling method selected two sample classes, namely A class as the experimental class taught with the TGT (Team Games Tournament) model with 29 students while the control class taught with direct instruction was chosen class B with the number of students is 28 students. This study involved two classes of samples given different treatments. Student learning outcomes with the TGT cooperative learning model are better than learning outcomes with the DI learning model where the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class are 88.9 while the control class is 73.8. There are differences in learning outcomes between high teamwork skill groups and low teamwork skill groups. The average IPA Learning outcomes between high teamwork skill groups (82.7) were better than the average IPA learning outcomes with teamwork skill groups at a low (69.5).

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of communication and parental motivation on the learning achievement of the eight grade SMP Satu Atap Negeri 4 Pangururan 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is ex-post facto research. The sample used was 39 students, while the taking technique used the total sampling method. The data usage technique used is by observation, questionnaire and documentation. Validation test for questionnaire analysis using product moment correlation formula, reliability is calculated using the Cronbach alpha formula. The analysis technique used is the t test and the F test. Based on the results of data analysis using the SPSS 20 program obtained with multiple linear regression Y = 36.253 + 0.693 X1 + 0.356 X2 then the parent communication variable (X1) has a significant positive fan influence on the learning achievement (Y) with tcount> t table (3.789> 0.682) and sig <0.05 (0.001 <0.05), while parental motivation (X2) also has a positive and significant effect on the achievement index with tcount> t table (2,164> 0,681) and sig <0,05 (0,037 <0,05) together communication and parental motivation have a positive and significant effect on the achievement index with the values of Fcount> Ftable (139,294> 4,11) and sig < 0.05 (0,000 <0,05). The percentage contribution to the influence of communication and parental motivation on student learning achievement is 89%.

This study uses the role playing method in Indonesian language lessons. The objectives of this study are (1) to improve the speaking skills of the fifth C grade students of SD Negeri 104214Kedai Durian (2) applying the use of role playing methods to Indonesian language lessons (3) helping students to understand the subject matter. The method used in this study is classroom action research which is used in the fifth C grade which amounts to 24 students. Based on the analysis of the data obtained that the initial observations of 24 students obtained that 6 students which 25% who were able to speak well, and as many as 18 students 75% who did not speak well with an average value of 12. In the first cycle there are 10 students that 41.66% who have been able to speak and as many as 14 students that 58.34% who have not spoken properly with an average score of 12.87. Then in the second cycle, students 'speaking skills increased to 18 people 75% who were able to speak with an average of 13.95%. Thus it can be concluded that the use of role playing methods can improve students' speaking skills in drama lessons in Indonesian language lesson in the fifth C Junior High School. Therefore teachers need to improve their teaching skills by using the role playing method as one of the efforts made to improve students' speaking skills in Indonesian language lessons.

This research is aimed to increasing the students’ ability in speaking skills through Cooperative Learning Approach. The subject was the second grade at the second semester student of Senior high school Methodist 12 Medan, academic year 2018/2019. This study is classroom action research means that this study done in one class in one school. The research instrument used test, observation and questionnaire. The result of this study showed that the value in pretest and posttest increased, it can be seen from the improvement of mean of the students’ score namely: the mean of the pretest was 69.25 increased to the mean of the posttest to the first cycle was 74.89 and the post test in the second cycle was 83.21. The improvement also can be seen from the percentage of the students’ speaking achievement in the pretest only 53.57 %( fifteen students) got 75 point. In the post test in cycle I 78.57 %( twenty two students) got 75 point. It means there was improvement 25 %. In the post test cycle II 100 % (twenty eight students) got 75 points. The improvement was 21.43 %. The conclusion is the cooperative learning approach increases the students speaking ability.

The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes through the use of demonstration methods and improve the ability of teachers to identify student learning difficulties. This research was conducted at 104214 Elementary School Kedai Durian, this type of research is classroom action research. The implementation of the study was carried out for two cycles consisting of four stages namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research instrument used was the observation sheet in the form of a check list. Based on the results of observations of research data conducted on efforts to improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian language through demonstration methods in the second grade A Elementary School 104214 Kedai Durian. The results of this study are, several things found in the Pre-action obtained an average value of 51.3 out of 31 students, there were 8 students (25.8%) who had complete learning outcomes and 23 students (74.2 %) the results of the study are not complete. Some of the problems faced by students are students often make noise when given a task to do, students also often disturb their friends or see the work of their friends, students also do not understand the subject matter delivered by the teacher. After giving the action in the first cycle obtained 60.3 student learning outcomes, out of 31 students there were 16 students (51.5%) who completed and 15 students (48.4%) who did not complete. From the results of this study it was concluded that there was an increase in learning outcomes from the pretest to the first cycle, but these learning outcomes have not experienced classical completeness, so the second cycle is still needed to obtain student learning outcomes that are completed classically. After being given action in the second cycle of 31 students there were 23 students completed (74.2%) and 8 students who did not complete (25.8%). With an average value of 74.8. It can be concluded that by the demonstration learning method, it can improve students learning outcomes.

The research objective is to develop social skills based social studies teaching materials. This study uses a quantitative approach. The type of research is development research (Research And Development / R & D), the steps implemented are (1) Planning and Development, (2) Product Effectiveness. The results of the study show that: (1) Children's understanding of social skills has increased. This can be seen in the results of the pre test and post test conducted by researchers in small groups and large (limited) groups. The results of the small group pre test were 5.2% and the post test was 8%, which meant an increase of 2.8% while for the large group the pre test was 5.97% and the test post was 8%, meaning an increase of 2.1%. (2) the effectiveness of the product gets a good value proven from the three validators for the feasibility aspect, the average score is 3.69 (92%), the feasibility aspect of presenting the average score is 3.23 (80.77%), and the last feasibility aspects, the average score is 3.5 (87.5%). The impact of the use of social studies teaching materials based on social skills can make children learn happily, actively and the learning atmosphere becomes fun and children understand more about social skills.

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes and student activities using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model in class. The method used in this study is classroom action research consisting of two cycles. The analysis technique in this study is instrument 1 about student learning outcomes testing and instrument 2 about student activity. The result of pretest showed the average of pretest ability of students was 33,6 and after applying the STAD type cooperative learning model, there was an increase in the first cycle, student learning outcomes become 68,0 and in the second cycle become 84,0. Based on the observation of student learning activity in the first cycle is 55% and in the second cycle becomes 93% Based on the above data, it can be concluded that the applying of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve students’ poetry writing ability of MA Darul Qur’an 2018/2019 academic year.
