Abstract

This study investigates the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SD Subsidi Budi Rahayu Sambirejo Timur through the application of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) learning model. This model allows students to solve problems through discussion and subsequently communicate their acquired knowledge to their peers within the group. The research method employed involves providing students the freedom to experiment by presenting learning materials to their group members and communicating their discussion results to the class. The findings indicate that prior to the implementation of the SFE model, the average student score was 49.83, with 23 students (76.67%) not achieving the passing grade. After applying the SFE model in the first cycle, the average score improved to 65.83, with 16 students (53.33%) achieving the passing grade, while 14 students (46.67%) did not pass. However, learning in the first cycle was not optimal as many students still did not reach the passing grade, and student participation remained low. In the second cycle, after instructional improvements, there was a further increase in the average score to 74.50, with 25 students (83.33%) achieving the passing grade, while 5 students (16.67%) did not pass. These results demonstrate that the SFE model effectively enhances students' learning outcomes from the initial state to the post-implementation state.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance first-grade students' oral reading skills through illustrated story media. Action Research (AR) was conducted at SD Negeri 104245 Tumpatan from August to October 2019, involving 30 students as participants. It consisted of two cycles with four stages each: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Initial observations revealed that students faced difficulties in reading fluently and lacked proficiency in oral reading techniques such as pronunciation, intonation, punctuation, and pauses. Illustrated story media was employed to address these issues, proving effective in improving student motivation and reading skills. The average student scores increased from 66.3 with a Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) achievement of 47% in the pre-action phase to 70.5 with a 70% KKM achievement after Cycle I, and 73 with a 96% KKM achievement after Cycle II. These improvements demonstrate the effectiveness of illustrated story media in education. Teachers are encouraged to integrate this method according to their teaching materials.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Group Investigation learning model to enhance students' learning activities in Social Studies for fourth-grade students at SDN 106184 Sekip in the academic year 2020/2021. The theoretical framework includes concepts of learning, learning activities, and the Group Investigation learning model. The research method employed is the Group Investigation cooperative learning model, emphasizing student participation in independently seeking and understanding lesson materials. The results and discussion indicate that the implementation of the Group Investigation learning model effectively enhances students' learning activities. Data from the pre-cycle questionnaire shows that only 21% of students were categorized as active, while 79% were categorized as inactive. In Cycle I, the number of active students increased to 44.12%, and in Cycle II, all students were actively involved with a percentage of 100%. The average percentage score of the learning activity questionnaire also increased from 62.97% in Cycle I to 87.23% in Cycle II. This study confirms that the Group Investigation learning model can be an effective strategy to encourage active student participation and improve learning effectiveness in classrooms, particularly in the context of Social Studies at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research examines the improvement of science learning outcomes using the Inquiry Model in Class IV UPT SPF SDN 105338 Denai Kuala. The theory used is PTK (Classroom Action Research) is an activity carried out by educators or together with other people in a collaborative manner which aims to improve or improve the quality or learning process in the classroom. In its implementation, the researcher acts as a teacher who will conduct teaching by applying a learning model that has been planned and compiled, while the class teacher acts as an observer during learning. The method used is the Inquiry Learning Model. Inquiry Learning Model is a learning model specifically designed to develop student activities in the learning process as a support for declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge of learning materials. The results of the study and discussion showed that there were 30 students or none of them who got a complete score with an average score of 19.33. Furthermore, after being given action using the Inquiry learning model in cycle I, student learning outcomes increased from the previous by an average of 38.67 where as many as 6 students (20%) got complete scores and 24 students (80%) got incomplete scores. Then in the second cycle test results obtained an average of 80.67 with 28 students (93.33%) getting complete scores and 2 students (6.67%) getting incomplete scores. Thus, the results of this study indicate that there is an increase in learning outcomes from before to after the application of the Inquiry learning model, more clearly on the development of student learning outcomes in science subjects, the subject matter "Plants".

Abstract

This studies examines Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Science Subjects using the Experimental Method for class V of State Elementary School No.104607 Sei Rotan T.A 2019/2020. The method used is to give students the freedom to experiment by doing experiments on something, observing the process, and writing down the results of the experiment. Learning using the experimental method will train and teach students to carry out experiments by searching for and finding their own answers to the problems they face. The results of research and discussion show that student learning outcomes in science subjects in class V-B of SD N 104607 Sei Rotan on heat transfer material for the 2019/2020 academic year using experimental methods have increased. This is evident from the average score at pre-test of 54.77, increasing to 69.89 in cycle I and increasing to 86.59 in cycle II. Before the action was implemented, students' ability to solve questions was still low and had not been successful, namely 13 people or 29.55% who completed it. After taking action in cycle I, the level of learning completeness was obtained at 22 people or 50%, which means that overall the students had not reached the minimum standard of completeness. The test results in cycle II showed that the students' learning completeness level was 38 people or 86.36%, which means that overall the students had reached a minimum standard of completeness above 85%. This shows that there has been an increase in student learning outcomes from before to after the implementation of the experimental method in the science subject Heat Transfer in class V-B SD N 104607 Sei Rotan T.A 2019/2020.
