Abstract

Abstract

Continuous use of chemical fertilizers leads to decreased soil fertility, nutrient imbalance, and environmental pollution. One alternative fertilizer is liquid organic fertilizer (POC), which can improve the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil while providing nutrients. Kirinyuh leaves (Chromolaena odorata) have great potential as a raw material for POC due to their high macro and micro nutrient content and bioactive compounds that support plant growth. This study aims to produce liquid organic fertilizer from kirinyuh leaves with the addition of chicken bone meal that meets the standards of the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 261/KPTS/SR.310/M/4/2019, and to evaluate the effect of fermentation time and dosage of chicken bone meal on fertilizer quality. Fertilizer is made through a fermentation process using EM4 as a bioactivator with variations in fermentation time and dosage of chicken bone meal. The results showed that fermentation time and dosage of chicken bone meal significantly affected the quality of POC. The concentrations of N, P, and K increased until the 21st day of fermentation due to increased microbial activity in decomposing organic matter, then decreased slightly or did not increase significantly on the 28th day as it entered the fermentation maturation phase. The addition of chicken bone meal increased the concentration of nutrients, especially phosphorus and potassium, while the C/N ratio increased until the 21st day and decreased on the 28th day, indicating that the decomposition process was effective.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of local Bessel 1841 datum in historical terrestrial datasets within the oil and gas sector presents challenges for integration with the modern WGS84/SRGI2013 reference system. This study aims to evaluate the positional accuracy of terrestrial data based on Bessel 1841 Datum in representing well-head locations in Sukowati Field after transformation to WGS84/SRGI2013 using 2D Helmert Transformation. The dataset consisted of 41 well-head points grouped into two clusters, namely SP.A and SP.B, with GNSS survey data collected in 2023 used as the references. Transformation parameters were estimated using the Least Squares method with a centroid approach to improve numerical stability. The results revealed a systematic shift between the two datums of approximately +105 m in the Easting direction and −41 m in the Northing direction. Accuracy assessment showed total RMSE values of 0.273 m for Cluster SP.A and 0.328 m for Cluster SP.B. These results indicate that the transformed coordinates achieve decimeter-level accuracy and remain below the 0.5 m tolerance threshold. Therefore, historical datasets based on Bessel 1841 Datum can still be reliably utilized after transformation to WGS84/SRGI2013 to support mapping activities and asset management in the oil and gas industry requiring high positional accuracy.

Abstract

Pemodelan dilakukan menggunakan software Cubicost Take-off Architecture Structure (TAS), Take-off Reinforced Bar (TRB), dan Take-off Bill of Quantity (TBQ).

Abstract

The construction of the 60-meter high Monumen Tugu Reog Ponorogo by CV Gendhis Multi Karya faces extreme vertical accessibility challenges due to the non-linear curved geometry of the structure (dadak merak and barongan). The use of conventional scaffolding is considered slow, expensive, and poses a high risk of damaging the brass ornaments. This study aims to analyze the comparison of operational effectiveness (time, labor, cost) and occupational safety risk levels between scaffolding and rope access methods using the HIRARC matrix based on AS/NZS 4360:2004. Comparative analysis results show that rope access reduces equipment mobilization time by 87.5% (from 12 days to 1.5 days), saves active labor by 70.0% (from 10 people to 3 people), and cuts operational costs by 70.83% (from IDR 120,000,000 to IDR 35,000,000). The initial risk assessment indicates that all working at height activities fall into the High risk category (scores 10-15). After designing technical mitigation actions including dynamic anchor testing of at least 15kN in accordance with BS EN 795:2012 standards, thick canvas corner protectors, and a maximum wind speed limit of 20 knots (37 km/h), the risk level was successfully reduced to the Low category (residual risk scores 2-3). The implementation of rope access is proven to be the optimal solution that guarantees both safety and productivity aspects in the construction of cultural heritage buildings with complex geometries.

Abstract

Manual welding activities at UD. Inti Teknindo are carried out with work postures that are not very ergonomic, such as bending over, squatting, and leaning down for long periods, which can potentially cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). This study aims to determine the risk level of welding workers' postures using the Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment (WERA) method and to provide improvement suggestions to reduce the risk of MSDs. The study was conducted on 4 welding workers using observation, documentation, interviews, the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, and anthropometric measurements. The NBM questionnaire results showed that all workers were at high-risk levels with scores of 71–73, indicating complaints in the back, waist, neck, shoulders, and wrists. The analysis using the WERA method showed that worker 1 scored 45, worker 2 scored 45, worker 3 scored 45, and worker 4 scored 44, so all workers fall into the high-risk category and need corrective action. Based on this analysis, a work facility in the form of an Adjustable Welding Support Stand is proposed, designed according to the workers' anthropometric data with a stand height of 97.37–101.62 cm and a work area width of 44.3 cm. The evaluation results of the proposed design show the WERA score dropped to 27, which falls into the low-risk category. Therefore, this proposed work facility can improve working posture, reduce the risk of MSDs, and increase comfort and safety for welding workers at UD. Inti Teknindo.

Abstract

Increasing nutrient inputs, particularly phosphate and nitrogen, have contributed to eutrophication in Lake Batur and increased the risk of water quality degradation. This study evaluated the effectiveness of sediment capping using activated and non-activated bentonite for nutrient removal, including total phosphorus (TP), total nitrogen (TN), nitrate, and ammonia. Characterization using SEM-EDX and FTIR showed that the activation process altered the surface morphology and chemical properties of bentonite, resulting in a more open structure and higher silicon and aluminum contents. Shifts in the absorption bands of –OH, Si–OH, and Si–O–Si groups indicated surface modification without damaging the montmorillonite framework. The results demonstrated that non-activated bentonite achieved the highest removal efficiency for total phosphorus, reaching 87%. Activated bentonite showed better performance in reducing total nitrogen and nitrate, with removal efficiencies of 61% and 79%, respectively. Meanwhile, nitrate removal by non-activated bentonite reached 78%. Ammonia removal remained relatively limited, where activated bentonite reduced ammonia concentration by 30%, while non-activated bentonite showed a slight increase in ammonia concentration of −12%. Overall, both activated and non-activated bentonite exhibited potential as sediment capping materials for controlling nutrient release in aquatic systems.
