Reinwardtia is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of plant science, with a particular emphasis on three core areas: plant taxonomy, plant ecology, and ethnobotany. The journal serves as a vital platform for disseminating research that explores the classification, identification, and relationships of plant species (taxonomy), the interactions between plants and their environments (ecology), and the traditional knowledge and cultural significance of plants (ethnobotany). Reinwardtia places a strong focus on the flora of Southeast Asia, a region known for its rich biodiversity and complex ecosystems. It extends its coverage to neighboring regions, including the tropical areas of Northern Australia, providing insights into the plant life of these biologically diverse areas. The journal seeks to contribute to the global scientific community by publishing original research articles, reviews, and notes that deepen the understanding of plant species in these regions and their ecological and cultural contexts.

Abstract

Andreeia, Monotropastrium and Wirtge-nia are reduced to the synonymy of Ckeilotheca. Four species are accepted, keyed out ami enumerated; a new combination, Ckeitotheen huiailie (D. Don) H. Keng, and a new species, Chtiilothtfcti aleumertima H. Rene, are proposed.

Abstract

The Asiatic Genus Neocinamomum comprises 6 species, of which N. atjehense is described here for the first time. cinnamomum fargesii Lee.is moved to Neocinnamomum,N. willsonii Allen is considered to be conspeeific with it. N. delavayi var.Mekongense hand.Mazz is raised to specific rank. N. hainanianum Allen is reduced to N.lecomtei.Excluded from the genus is N.confertiflorum, which is moved to Litsea.

Abstract

In the genus Actinodaphtie Nees one new combination and one new species ace presented; in LAndera Thunb. one new combination, 4 new species and one new forma; in lAtsea Lam. one species has been reduced to synonymy, one nomen novum is presented, 5 new species are described and of 6 species new cecords are given; one species has been reinstated. The obscure Mackilus sericea Bl. is a3sumed to be conspecific with Persea bombyeina (King ex Hook, f.) Kosterm. In the genus Persea Mill. one nomen novnm, two new combinations and one new species are created and proposed. In the genus Phoebe Nees one new combination and two new species are presented

Abstract

AmorpknphoMus dixenii is described and illustrated; this new species is assigned to section Cimdaritm and key to Asiatic species of this section is presented. Chromosome number of this species is found to be 2n =28.

Abstract

Seven species are described and a key to the species is presented.The genus is recorded foe the first time from Central Sumatra and this record is an extension of its generic distribution,known previously from Borneo and Malaya. Plethiandra acaminata Merr.and Plethiandra sahebii Burkill are reduced to synonymy and the following new com- binations are proposed: Plethiandra robusta (Cogn.)Nayar,Plethiandra seesiliflora (Cogn.) Merr. var.sessilis (Stapf) Nayar.

Abstract

The pollen morphology of 49 species belonging to 48 genera and 31 families ia recorded in this paper. Of these 24 and 19 taxa are studied at generic and species level respectively.Six species are redescribed to show the variations in the local pollen grains. In most of the species studied presently the characters were similar to those recorded previously for the respective families.The variations seen in some of the taxa with regard to wall characters,nature of the apertures,etc. are poninted out.The present observations ace comparatively discussed with reference to previous literature

Abstract

Two new monotypie genera (Kizakimonas bogoriensis and Hoehne mastix saopaulensis) and six other new species (four in Tetramitus and two in Balliamonas) of colourless flagellates are described based on samples collected in Bogor and Sao Paulo.
