Abstract

The background of this article is the need to understand human cognitive development according to Jean Piaget, focusing on the basic concepts and stages of development. The purpose of this study is to explore and apply Piaget's cognitive development theory in the context of learning. The research method used is a literature review, where various sources are analyzed to gain a deeper understanding of the topic. This study employs a descriptive research design to identify the challenges faced by teachers in recognizing and adjusting teaching approaches to the cognitive uniqueness of each student. The research findings highlight the importance of applying learning models that align with Piaget's theory to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process. This article proposes several learning models that can be integrated into educational practice, offering practical insights for educators in supporting students' cognitive development. The implications of this research are to assist educators and curriculum developers in implementing more effective and appropriate approaches based on cognitive development theory in the learning process. Keywords: Cognitive Development, Jean Piaget, Learning, Developmental Theory, Literature Review   Abstrak: Latar belakang artikel ini adalah kebutuhan untuk memahami perkembangan kognitif manusia menurut Jean Piaget, dengan fokus pada konsep dasar dan tahapan perkembangan. Tujuan penulisan adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengaplikasikan teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget dalam konteks pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka (literature review), di mana berbagai sumber dianalisis untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang topik tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam mengenali dan menyesuaikan pendekatan pembelajaran dengan keunikan kognitif setiap siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan teori Piaget untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses belajar. Artikel ini mengusulkan beberapa model pembelajaran yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam praktik pendidikan, menawarkan wawasan praktis bagi para pendidik dalam mendukung perkembangan kognitif siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membantu pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum mengimplementasikan pendekatan yang lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan teori perkembangan kognitif dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

Erikson's theory of social development and personality provides a framework for understanding the stages of individual development and the psychosocial conflicts encountered. This study adopted a qualitative literature-type approach to analyze the application of Erikson's theory in education, especially in the context of recognizing the stages of student development, identity formation, cooperation, conflict handling, autonomy development, and recognition of diversity. This study examined the academic literature, including relevant journals, books, and other published sources, to explore how the principles of Erikson's theory can be integrated into pedagogical practice. The results of the literature analysis showed that the application of Erikson's theory in an educational context supports the creation of a learning environment conducive to the holistic development of students, facilitates the formation of positive identities, the development of social skills, and an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. This research confirmed that an in-depth understanding of students' psychosocial needs at every stage of development by educators was key to maximizing students' learning potential and personal growth, ensuring optimal development of students in educational contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the development of creative and innovative extracurricular programs to enhance students' learning interest at SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. In the modern era, the decline in learning interest at the vocational high school level is a major concern. The research aims to identify the impact of these extracurricular programs on students' learning interest and formulate recommendations for improving education at SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. Using a qualitative field approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that the creative and innovative extracurricular programs have positively influenced students' learning interest, leading to increased engagement, creativity, social involvement, and academic achievement. Recommendations include further development of the extracurricular programs, instructor training, regular evaluation, parental and community involvement, and sharing research findings with other schools. The study aims to guide SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung in improving education quality and motivating students to actively participate in the learning process. Furthermore, successful implementation of these programs can serve as a model for other vocational high schools facing similar challenges in student engagement. Keywords: Program Development, Extracurricular, Creative, Innovative, Interest in Learning.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan program ekstrakurikuler kreatif dan inovatif sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. Dalam konteks pendidikan di era modern, penurunan minat belajar di tingkat sekolah menengah kejuruan menjadi perhatian utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dampak program ekstrakurikuler tersebut terhadap minat belajar siswa dan merumuskan saran-saran untuk perbaikan pendidikan di SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif lapangan dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ekstrakurikuler kreatif dan inovatif telah memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Siswa yang terlibat dalam program tersebut melaporkan peningkatan minat belajar, pengembangan kreativitas, peningkatan keterlibatan sosial, dan pencapaian akademik yang lebih baik. Saran yang diusulkan meliputi pengembangan lebih lanjut program ekstrakurikuler, pelatihan instruktur, evaluasi rutin, partisipasi orang tua dan masyarakat, serta berbagi hasil penelitian dengan sekolah-sekolah lain. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan panduan bagi SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan memotivasi siswa untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar. Abstract

Curriculum development in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject plays a crucial role in shaping students' critical and analytical thinking abilities. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) on curriculum development, particularly in the context of learning Al-Qur'an and Hadith at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level. The research employs a qualitative method within a descriptive research framework. The findings indicate that the integration of IPTEK in learning has a positive impact on students. The diversity of learning resources, involving not only books but also technology, makes the learning process more engaging and effective. Teachers have successfully integrated the foundations of science and technology with curriculum development in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject, as evidenced by student testimonials stating that the use of technology significantly aids the learning process. The implications of this study are for educators and curriculum developers to continue expanding the integration of IPTEK in teaching to enhance the quality of education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) terhadap pengembangan kurikulum, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran Al-Qur’an dan Hadis di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan kerangka penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi IPTEK dalam pembelajaran memiliki dampak positif terhadap siswa. Keanekaragaman sumber belajar, yang melibatkan tidak hanya buku tetapi juga teknologi, membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan efektif. Guru telah berhasil menggabungkan dasar-dasar ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dengan pengembangan kurikulum pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadis, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh kesaksian siswa yang menyatakan bahwa penggunaan teknologi sangat membantu proses pembelajaran. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bagi para pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum untuk terus memperluas integrasi IPTEK dalam pengajaran, guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Abstract

The curriculum, as a system consisting of four main components, namely objectives, content, learning activities (teaching process), and evaluation (evaluation component), is an integral part of the education system. Psychology plays a crucial role in the development of school curricula, as it considers psychological aspects in the learning process. This study focuses on the psychological foundation of the Islamic Education curriculum (PAI). The research method used is literature review, which involves collecting data from various sources such as journals, books, and conference proceedings focusing on psychology and education. The development of the PAI curriculum should be responsive to students' development, including the achievement of competencies and the implementation of effective teaching methods. The PAI curriculum should be designed by considering students' psychological needs to provide an effective learning experience. This involves a deep understanding of how students learn and how they engage with learning materials. By considering psychological foundations, the curriculum can be designed to facilitate more effective and relevant learning for students. Additionally, the role of the social environment, family support, and individual motivation are also important factors to be considered in the development of the PAI curriculum to create a conducive learning environment for students. Keywords: Character Education, Islamic Education Curriculum (PAI Curriculum), Islamic Education Subject, Psychology.   Abstrak: Kurikulum, sebagai suatu sistem yang terdiri dari empat komponen utama, yakni tujuan, isi (materi/konten), kegiatan pembelajaran (proses pembelajaran), dan evaluasi (komponen evaluasi), merupakan bagian integral dari dunia pendidikan. Psikologi memiliki peran yang krusial dalam pengembangan kurikulum sekolah, karena mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek psikologis dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini fokus pada landasan psikologis dari kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, yang melibatkan pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber seperti jurnal, buku, dan hasil konferensi yang berfokus pada psikologi dan pendidikan. Penyusunan kurikulum PAI haruslah responsif terhadap perkembangan siswa, termasuk pencapaian kompetensi dan penerapan metode pembelajaran yang efektif. Kurikulum PAI haruslah dirancang dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan psikologis siswa agar dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang efektif. Hal ini melibatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang bagaimana siswa belajar dan bagaimana mereka menghadapi materi pelajaran. Dengan mempertimbangkan landasan psikologis, kurikulum dapat dirancang untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan relevan bagi siswa. Selain itu, peran lingkungan sosial, dukungan keluarga, dan motivasi individu juga merupakan faktor penting yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam pengembangan kurikulum PAI agar dapat menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif bagi siswa. Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning materials are often perceived as monotonous and unengaging, reducing student interest and learning effectiveness. In this context, the development of more interactive and relevant materials is essential to enhance the quality of education. This study aims to explore the role and impact of developing IRE learning materials on the quality of teaching and learning processes. The research employs a qualitative method with a literature study design, where content analysis was conducted on relevant sources to collect data about current IRE teaching practices and their potential for development. Findings indicate that the development of innovative materials tailored to the needs and local contexts of students can improve understanding and motivation to learn. The implications of this study are directed towards educators and policymakers in religious education, who are expected to integrate new approaches into the curriculum and teaching methods of IRE, thereby bringing about positive changes in religious education in schools.   Keywords: Islamic Religious Education, Learning Material Development, Education Quality, Educational Innovation, Learning Motivation   Abstrak: Materi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) seringkali dianggap monoton dan kurang menarik, sehingga mengurangi minat dan efektivitas belajar siswa. Dalam konteks ini, pengembangan materi yang lebih interaktif dan relevan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran dan dampak pengembangan materi pembelajaran PAI terhadap kualitas proses belajar mengajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi literatur, di mana analisis konten dilakukan pada sumber-sumber yang relevan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang praktik pengajaran PAI saat ini dan potensi pengembangannya. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan materi inovatif yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan konteks lokal siswa dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar. Implikasi penelitian ini ditujukan bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan dalam pendidikan agama, yang diharapkan dapat mengintegrasikan pendekatan baru ke dalam kurikulum dan metode pengajaran PAI, sehingga membawa perubahan positif dalam pendidikan agama di sekolah.  Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Agama Islam, Pengembangan Materi, Kualitas Pembelajaran, Inovasi Pendidikan, Motivasi Belajar
