Abstract

The human self has the necessity of life to regulate life in order to achieve happiness as the goal of life. Education is a means and provision to achieve and make it happen if it is accompanied by positive and beneficial actions for oneself and others. Education will be effective if the perpetrators, both students (students) and teachers, direct students to achieve this goal which is called self-management. Self-management means placing everything regularly in life, in the use of time, choices, interests, activities, and in physical and mental balance. It also means pushing oneself forward, managing all the personal elements, controlling the potential will to achieve good things, and developing various aspects of personal life to make it more perfect. This paper aims to present self-management from an educational perspective. This research is library research, which is research based on searching the literature related to the issues to be discussed. The data in this library research is obtained through digging and tracing books, articles, magazines, journals, internet access and other important related notes. The results of this study reveal that self-management as meant in this paper is the personal ability of students or educators to achieve certain goals including learning must be managed appropriately, according to the concept of management, that self-management is a skill and expertise of a person that is contained within. One way that can be done as a self-management application in the educational process can be seen from the indicators; such as the ability to determine learning objectives, the ability to monitor and evaluate learning objectives, and be able to motivate and provide self-reinforcement.

Abstract

The success of implementing the MPMBS really depends on the ability of the school principal to be able to play an active role in school management by empowering all components involved in school administration, especially in empowering the community as a whole. However, the implementation cannot be separated from supporting and inhibiting factors. For this reason, this study examines, deepens the concepts and matters relating to the implementation of the MPMBS program, especially in educational institutions. This research is library research, which is research based on searching the literature related to the issues to be discussed. The data in this library research is obtained through digging and tracing books, articles, magazines, journals, internet access and other important related notes. The results of this study reveal the supporting factors for the implementation of MPMBS in an educational institution, namely: having strong leadership, having a clear vision and mission as well as goals and objectives, a safe, orderly and conducive school environment, the participation of parents / guardians of students in supporting their children's education. and the role of the school committee in providing support to schools. While the inhibiting factors include: incomplete facilities and infrastructure, minimal funding, low discipline culture and enforcement of madrasah rules, the concept and objectives of the MPMBS are not well understood, school residents and interested parties and the role of the community in helping school programs have not maximum.

Abstract

The principal's leadership behavior should be able to influence the behavior of subordinates to want to work together productively, efficiently, and effectively in order to achieve organizational goals. The success of an organization, both as a whole and various group in a particular organization is very dependent on the quality of leadership contained in the organization concerned. One of the successes of the principal's leadership behavior is to improve teacher performance. A qualified teacher means that the teacher is also a good teacher. A good and qualified teacher has characteristics in the form of a number of competencies. These competencies are teacher effectiveness, teacher cognitive ability, teacher personality, classroom management, mastery of information technology, and commitment and responsibility. This paper aims to present a discussion of principals' leadership behavior in improving teacher performance. This research is a qualitative field research with the research location in SMP Muhammadiyah Sukaraja, Sukabumi Regency. The data in this study were obtained from the results of observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study reveal that the principal's policy in improving the ability of teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah Sukaraja, Sukabumi Regency has made written and oral rules according to the school's vision and mission by involving teachers, school targets and school principals to formulate activities to improve teacher abilities such as: KKG. In addition, the principal as a leader in improving the discipline of teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah Sukaraja, Sukabumi Regency makes programs using good communication. This is reinforced by the principal's strategy as a leader in increasing the responsibility of teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah Sukaraja, Sukabumi Regency by involving all teachers and providing direct examples.

Abstract

One of the efforts given by schools or madrasas to shape the character of students and have good morals, namely by making the habit of praying in congregation, both sunnah and obligatory prayers. Schools and madrasas provide opportunities for students to participate in praying together. Because with this habit, it is hoped that students will understand that prayer is a must or obligation for every Muslim, when they grow up it becomes a moral responsibility to carry it out. This study aims to determine and implement the implementation of the five daily congregational prayers in shaping the character of discipline. This type of research is a mix method, which is a combination of two forms of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research location is in SMP and MTs Az-Zainiyyah Salabintana Sukabumi Regency, while the data collection techniques used include questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The population is 150 students of SMP MTs with a sample of 109 students. Based on a thorough data analysis on the implementation of five daily congregational prayers in shaping the character of the discipline, the researchers found several findings, namely: First, the condition of praying together five times in forming the character of discipline, in its implementation, students have not fully followed, but the program has been implemented, Second, The process of implementing the five daily congregational prayers in shaping the character of discipline is to provide motivation and direct examples by educators. Third, the inhibiting factor is the lack of self-awareness of students in improving prayer discipline at school, the supporting factor of the teacher being consistent in directing so that these obstacles can be resolved.

Abstract

The purpose of this research. 1) How much influence does organizational culture have on the work ethic of madrasa teachers partially? 2) How much influence do professional aspirations have on the work ethic of madrasa teachers partially? 3) How big is the influence of teacher motivation on the work ethic of madrasa teachers partially? 4) How much influence do organizational culture and professional aspirations have on the work ethic of madrasah teachers partially? 5) How much influence do organizational culture and teacher motivation have on the work ethic of madrasah teachers partially? 6) How big is the influence of professional aspirations and teacher motivation on the work ethic of madrasa teachers partially? 7) How much influence does organizational culture, professional aspirations and teacher motivation have on the work ethic of madrasa teachers simultaneously? This study uses quantitative methods. The results showed that the work ethic of madrasa teachers contributed to a significant increase in results. This means that the higher the work ethic, the higher the work ethic of madrasa teachers.

Abstract

The background of this article is the need to understand human cognitive development according to Jean Piaget, focusing on the basic concepts and stages of development. The purpose of this study is to explore and apply Piaget's cognitive development theory in the context of learning. The research method used is a literature review, where various sources are analyzed to gain a deeper understanding of the topic. This study employs a descriptive research design to identify the challenges faced by teachers in recognizing and adjusting teaching approaches to the cognitive uniqueness of each student. The research findings highlight the importance of applying learning models that align with Piaget's theory to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process. This article proposes several learning models that can be integrated into educational practice, offering practical insights for educators in supporting students' cognitive development. The implications of this research are to assist educators and curriculum developers in implementing more effective and appropriate approaches based on cognitive development theory in the learning process. Keywords: Cognitive Development, Jean Piaget, Learning, Developmental Theory, Literature Review   Abstrak: Latar belakang artikel ini adalah kebutuhan untuk memahami perkembangan kognitif manusia menurut Jean Piaget, dengan fokus pada konsep dasar dan tahapan perkembangan. Tujuan penulisan adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengaplikasikan teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget dalam konteks pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka (literature review), di mana berbagai sumber dianalisis untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang topik tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam mengenali dan menyesuaikan pendekatan pembelajaran dengan keunikan kognitif setiap siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan teori Piaget untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses belajar. Artikel ini mengusulkan beberapa model pembelajaran yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam praktik pendidikan, menawarkan wawasan praktis bagi para pendidik dalam mendukung perkembangan kognitif siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membantu pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum mengimplementasikan pendekatan yang lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan teori perkembangan kognitif dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

Erikson's theory of social development and personality provides a framework for understanding the stages of individual development and the psychosocial conflicts encountered. This study adopted a qualitative literature-type approach to analyze the application of Erikson's theory in education, especially in the context of recognizing the stages of student development, identity formation, cooperation, conflict handling, autonomy development, and recognition of diversity. This study examined the academic literature, including relevant journals, books, and other published sources, to explore how the principles of Erikson's theory can be integrated into pedagogical practice. The results of the literature analysis showed that the application of Erikson's theory in an educational context supports the creation of a learning environment conducive to the holistic development of students, facilitates the formation of positive identities, the development of social skills, and an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. This research confirmed that an in-depth understanding of students' psychosocial needs at every stage of development by educators was key to maximizing students' learning potential and personal growth, ensuring optimal development of students in educational contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the development of creative and innovative extracurricular programs to enhance students' learning interest at SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. In the modern era, the decline in learning interest at the vocational high school level is a major concern. The research aims to identify the impact of these extracurricular programs on students' learning interest and formulate recommendations for improving education at SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. Using a qualitative field approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that the creative and innovative extracurricular programs have positively influenced students' learning interest, leading to increased engagement, creativity, social involvement, and academic achievement. Recommendations include further development of the extracurricular programs, instructor training, regular evaluation, parental and community involvement, and sharing research findings with other schools. The study aims to guide SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung in improving education quality and motivating students to actively participate in the learning process. Furthermore, successful implementation of these programs can serve as a model for other vocational high schools facing similar challenges in student engagement. Keywords: Program Development, Extracurricular, Creative, Innovative, Interest in Learning.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan program ekstrakurikuler kreatif dan inovatif sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. Dalam konteks pendidikan di era modern, penurunan minat belajar di tingkat sekolah menengah kejuruan menjadi perhatian utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dampak program ekstrakurikuler tersebut terhadap minat belajar siswa dan merumuskan saran-saran untuk perbaikan pendidikan di SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif lapangan dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ekstrakurikuler kreatif dan inovatif telah memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Siswa yang terlibat dalam program tersebut melaporkan peningkatan minat belajar, pengembangan kreativitas, peningkatan keterlibatan sosial, dan pencapaian akademik yang lebih baik. Saran yang diusulkan meliputi pengembangan lebih lanjut program ekstrakurikuler, pelatihan instruktur, evaluasi rutin, partisipasi orang tua dan masyarakat, serta berbagi hasil penelitian dengan sekolah-sekolah lain. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan panduan bagi SMK Al-Falah Nagreg Bandung dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan memotivasi siswa untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar. Abstract

This research analyzes how the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum and moral values at the high school level can be improved by considering sociocultural factors. The results show that the PAI curriculum emphasizes the importance of social and cultural interactions in the learning process. This curriculum is adapted to individual environments and is expected to evolve with environmental changes, aiming to shape personalities and mindsets aligned with religious values. Social and cultural interaction is considered integral to the learning process in Islamic education, which also focuses on fostering religious enthusiasm and attitudes. The goal is to develop all human potential to achieve the ultimate goal of education: creating perfect humans (insan kamil). The curriculum includes intra curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities to enhance education. The development process follows four stages: formulating objectives, selecting learning experiences, organizing learning experiences, and evaluating learning experiences. High school curriculum development involves creating religious programs for short, medium, and long-term goals to form students with a solid understanding of religion and noble character (Akhlakul Karimah).

Abstract

The development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum is essential in addressing contemporary needs and challenges, both from within the education system and external influences, such as new understandings that might alter religious perspectives in Indonesia. This research specifically examines the Aqidah Akhlak (Faith and Ethics) component within the PAI curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary schools), focusing on its epistemological foundations. The study aims to explore how these foundations can effectively shape students' attitudes and characters as religious individuals and societal members. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology with a library study approach, data were collected from various literature sources, including the Minister of Religious Affairs Decree No. 183 of 2019 on the PAI Curriculum. The research design involved analyzing this data to understand the theoretical framework and practical implications. Key findings suggest that a robust understanding of the epistemological foundations in Aqidah Akhlak teaching is crucial for achieving the educational goals set by the curriculum. This understanding helps in selecting appropriate teaching materials, methodologies, and ensuring that the curriculum remains responsive to contemporary challenges. The study's implications underscore the importance of epistemological foundations in enhancing the effectiveness of Aqidah Akhlak education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
