Abstract

Religion was initially intended to provide solutions for humanity to live a better and more harmonious life. However, in recent decades, numerous conflicts have arisen due to the actions of certain religious adherents in the name of their religious teachings. One of the primary causes of these conflicts is the emergence of radical attitudes, where adherents of one religion view those of other religions as inherently wrong. This has resulted in strained relations between religious communities, fostering hostility rather than understanding. Consequently, various studies and efforts have emerged to promote coexistence among different religious groups. Most of these studies focus on strategies for harmonious interaction between Muslims and non-Muslims but often overlook a critical aspect: the extent to which Islamic teachings permit Muslims to interact with adherents of other religions. This paper explores the perspective of Ibn Khaldun, a pioneering Muslim sociologist, on the concept of coexistence between Muslims and non-Muslims. Specifically, it examines Ibn Khaldun's views on how coexistence can be realized and the limits Islam sets for interactions between its adherents and followers of other religions. Furthermore, the paper analyzes how Ibn Khaldun’s ideas can be applied to contemporary religious contexts. The goal is to position religion, particularly Islam, as a means to address and resolve issues arising from religious diversity rather than being a source of conflict. These efforts are carefully framed within the boundaries established by Islamic Sharia, ensuring that solutions remain faithful to the principles of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل فاعلية برنامج التدريب الذي تنظمه إدارة تطوير التعليم الإسلامي في جامعة إسلام إندونيسيا (DPPAI) في تحسين الشخصية الإسلامية للطلاب. ويركز البحث على كيفية تنفيذ البرنامج، ومدى مشاركة الطلاب، ومدى تأثير البرنامج على النمو الأخلاقي والروحي للطلاب. وفقًا للنتائج الأولية، هناك انخفاض في مشاركة الطلاب وعدم تطابق بين مواد التدريب ومتطلبات الطلاب المعاصرين. يُظهر التحليل أن برنامج التدريب في معهد دبي لبحوث السياسات العامة فعال في تشكيل الشخصية الإسلامية للطلاب من خلال أنشطة منظمة تدعم فهم الإسلام وممارسته. يتم تنفيذ البرنامج بشكل شامل، حيث يغطي الجوانب الروحية والفكرية والاجتماعية. ومع ذلك، هناك بعض التحديات، مثل تنوع خلفيات الطلاب ومحدودية الوقت خارج الأنشطة الأكاديمية. وبشكل عام، يتمتع هذا البرنامج بإمكانيات كبيرة لتعزيز الشخصية الإسلامية للطلاب مع التطوير المستمر.

Abstract

This research explores the historical foundations and development of the Zionist movement, emphasizing the involvement of European colonial powers in advancing its goals and the subsequent emergence of Palestinian nationalism as a counterforce. Employing a qualitative methodology that includes historical analysis and a comprehensive literature review, the study investigates the repercussions of Zionism on Palestinian society, the national resistance against the Zionist settler-colonial initiative, and the dominant efforts to marginalize Palestinian historical narratives. The findings reveal that the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, facilitated by colonial support, served as a pivotal moment in the Zionist agenda. Strategic errors by Arab nations and Palestinian leadership contributed to a weakened campaign for Palestinian independence. Despite these challenges, Palestinians have demonstrated remarkable resilience in maintaining their identity and asserting their rights. The study concludes that achieving lasting peace necessitates confronting historical injustices, safeguarding human rights, and promoting equitable and honest dialogue between the parties involved. It underscores the imperative for international assistance in formulating a just and comprehensive resolution. Furthermore, the research highlights the significance of drawing lessons from historical complexities to foster a more equitable and peaceful future in Palestine.
