Abstract

The use of social media by government institutions has become a means of public communication for delivering information to the public. This study aims to describe the utilization of Instagram @humasmahkamahagung in publishing "Strengthening the Anti-Bribery Culture". This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Informants were selected using purposive sampling and consisted of one key informant serving as the Instagram administrator of @humasmahkamahagung and two supporting informants who followed the account. The researcher served as the main research instrument, while data were collected through observation, direct interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity established through source and technique triangulation. The results show that Instagram was utilized as a medium for public communication, publication, education, and information delivery concerning integrity strengthening and bribery prevention through photographs, infographics, videos, and activity documentation. In conclusion, the utilization of Instagram @humasmahkamahagung reflects the characteristics of New Media through Digitality, Interactivity, Dispersality, and Virtuality and supports the dissemination of information concerning anti-bribery culture to the public.

Abstract

Fishermen's income fluctuates due to weather conditions, fishing location, and vessel characteristics. These conditions necessitate a method capable of predicting income based on various factors that have complex relationships. This study aims to predict fishermen's income using the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) algorithm. The study uses an applied quantitative approach with computational and experimental methods. The study population consists of data on fishing activities and income of small-scale fishermen in the Belawan area, while the sample consists of data containing information on weather conditions, fishing location, vessel characteristics, and income. The instruments consist of a laptop and Python software along with supporting libraries. Analysis was carried out through preprocessing, training, testing, and evaluation using MAE and RMSE. The results show that ANFIS can produce predictions based on ship load, vessel width, rainfall, and fishing location. In the test example, the prediction of approximately IDR 1,000,000 compared to the actual value of IDR 1,249,572 resulted in an error of IDR 249,572. In conclusion, ANFIS can be used to model the relationship between input variables and fishermen's income and the results can be presented through a dashboard as supporting information before going to sea.

Abstract

The availability of clean water needs to be supported by quality monitoring that can be performed quickly and continuously. Manual monitoring cannot provide direct information on water quality parameters, creating a need for an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system. This study aimed to develop an IoT-based household clean water quality monitoring system using a Rule-Based method to measure TDS, pH, and turbidity and determine water suitability. The study employed a system design approach and an experimental method. The research object was household tank water, which was measured using an ESP8266, TDS, pH, and turbidity sensors, ADS1115, LCD, buzzer, and web dashboard. Data were analyzed based on sensor readings and Rule-Based rules through sensor testing, integrated three-sensor testing, website testing, and program implementation. The results showed that the three sensors operated in an integrated manner, produced real-time measurements, classified water conditions, displayed data on the LCD and website, and provided warnings through the buzzer. In conclusion, the developed system can support automatic and continuous monitoring of household water quality.
