Abstract

Public Health Center (PHC) was a health center that needed and demanded by the community, accordingly availability and quality of medicines at PHC should met the needs. Purpose of this study were to determine the level of conformity and specify selection and procurement strategies for pharmaceutical service standards in Kediri's PHC based on priority scale of problem using Hanlon analysis. Design of this study was a non-experimental study, with data were analyzed quantitative and qualitative, collected using questionnaire instrument by conducting interviews, while results of this study was data in the form of counting results from respondent’s answers. The research results indicate that the procurement compliance level at the Public Health Centers in Kediri City has one problematic indicator, namely the percentage of procurement compliance with the actual usage for each drug item. Meanwhile, three indicators that are in compliance include the frequency of procurement for each drug item, the frequency of invoice errors, and the frequency of delayed payments by Puskesmas in relation to the established timelines.

Abstract

Growth and development in toddlers is very important, especially the nutritional needs of toddlers. MP-ASI is additional food to provide sufficient nutrition for babies. MP-ASI is divided into two types, namely traditional and industrial. Traditional MP-ASI is baby porridge that is prepared by yourself and sold on the side of the road. Hygiene and sanitation in roadside food can have a negative impact on consumers, especially bacterial contamination of food, one of which is Coliform bacteria, Escherichia Coli, etc. The method for calculating and estimating the number of E. coli bacteria found in chicken meat in this study used the Most Probable Number (MPN). The results showed that of the 4 samples tested, 3 were contaminated with E. Coli bacteria and 1 was negative for E. Coli bacterial contamination

Abstract

Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is a plant belonging to the Guttiferae family with origins in Southeast Asia. The primary components in mangosteen peel consist of xanthones, particularly α-mangostin, which displays diverse pharmacological effects such as anti-diabetic properties, antioxidant activity, and anti-inflammatory effects. However, due to the insufficient information regarding studies on pharmacokinetics (administration, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity), the objective of this investigation is to explore pharmacokinetic predictions utilizing the pkCSM web tool. The α-mangostin compound, acquired from PubChem accessible at https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/, underwent pharmacokinetic analysis using the web tool available at https://biosig.lab.uq.edu.au/pkcsm/prediction. The study findings revealed that the α-mangostin compound, subjected to pharmacokinetic analysis with pkCSM, exhibited limited distribution capability.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a substantial global health challenge, affecting diverse patient populations, particularly those with chronic kidney disease. Hospitals are presently dependent on two antiviral medications, favipiravir and remdesivir, to mitigate the impact of this disease on patients with chronic kidney disease. This study aims to evaluate the utilization of favipiravir and remdesivir in COVID-19 patients with chronic kidney disease in a hospital setting. This research will employ a retrospective approach to gather data from the medical records of COVID-19 patients with chronic kidney disease who received treatment with favipiravir or remdesivir in the hospital. Considering the prevalence of favipiravir usage at 64% and remdesivir at 36%, this research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness and associated risks of toxicity linked to these two medications in COVID-19 patients with chronic kidney disease

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in Indonesia. This research aims to determine the quantity of antihypertensive drugs used with Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical & Defined Daily Dose methods and determine antihypertensive drugs which include in Drug Utilization 90% segment. This research used secondary data which were taken from the patient's Medical Record. This research was quantitative descriptive research, the data were collected retrospectively. Data of antihypertensive drugs utilization and inpatient visit obtained from Medical Record Installation. Entire data then were processed to determine the quantity of antihypertensive drugs utilization in DDD/100 unit of inpatient day and Drug Utilization profile (DU90%).The results showed that the antihypertensive drugs utilization in hypertensive patients in RSUD Ajibarang were furosemid 28,07%, candesartan 17,42%, amlodipin 17,15%, spironolactone 11,52%, captopril 8,81%, valsaran 6,36%, irbesartan 3,60%, bisoprolol 3,38%, ramipril 3,31%, propranolol 0,34%. And from the DU90% table, drugs which include in the DU90% segment were furosemid, candesaran, amlodipin, spironolactone and captopril..

Abstract

Digital Skills vs. Experience: An Age-Driven Investigation of IT and Teacher Performance," explores the intricate interplay between age, information technology (IT), and teaching performance in the context of education. The study used an exploratory approach and used a structured questionnaire with a five-point scale to get first-hand information from 470 different teaching faculty members in Kathmandu Valley. To preserve participant secrecy and anonymity, ethical issues were crucial. The research methodology used powerful data analysis techniques that include correlation, ANOVA, and regression, as well as descriptive statistics. The study's model overview shows that Model H₁ is good at predicting how well teachers will do, as it explains 72.1% of the variation. The ANOVA test shows how important age and IT are as predictors of teaching success together. Regression analysis shows that both age and IT can be used as indicators, with IT having a much bigger effect. Part and partial connections provide more information about how age and IT are connected
