Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Integrated Quality Management (Total Quality Management/TQM) in improving customer satisfaction at two madrasahs, namely MAN 2 and MAN 3 Tulungagung. The research focuses on three main aspects: policies, culture, and commitment in quality management implemented to meet the expectations of internal customers (teachers, staff, and students) as well as external customers (parents, the community, and other stakeholders). The research approach used is qualitative with a multisite study design. Data collection techniques are conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document studies, while data analysis is performed through single case analysis and cross-site comparative analysis. The results of the study show that (1) the madrasah's quality policy based on Islamic values plays a crucial role in shaping the quality culture, (2) the formation of quality culture is carried out through agreements on fundamental values unique to each madrasah, and (3) the commitment of all madrasah personnel to quality implementation is greatly determined by the internalization of these values. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating policies, culture, and commitment in integrated quality management to achieve customer satisfaction in Islamic education environments.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of inclusive education at TPQ Ibnu Ummi Maktum, an Al-Quran educational institution designed to provide equal access to all individuals, including those with disabilities. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores learning methods, challenges faced, and the role of teachers in supporting the success of inclusive education. Data was collected through interviews, observation and document analysis. The research results revealed that TPQ Ibnu Maktum runs three main programs: regular classes, sign classes, and Braille classes. The learning methods applied, namely qiroah and kitabah, are designed to meet the needs of students with various limitations. Despite experiencing challenges such as limited numbers of teaching staff and lack of public awareness, TPQ has succeeded in having a positive impact, including changing society's attitudes towards inclusivity. Collaboration with various parties, including Ahmad Dahlan University, strengthens TPQ's capacity to offer inclusive education. This research recommends intensive training for teaching staff, especially for Braille classes, as well as the development of a more comprehensive curriculum to increase the effectiveness of learning for students with special needs.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of curriculum with the Tamyiz method at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Pleret as an Islam-based educational approach that integrates religious values with academic achievement. The Tamyiz method, which was developed in 2010, offers a practical and fun approach in learning to translate the Qur'an and yellow scriptures through the basic theory of quantum nahwu-shorof. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews to explore educational management at MBS Pleret. The results show that the curriculum implemented at MBS Pleret is a combination of the national curriculum and Muhammadiyah pesantren-based curriculum, complemented by Tamyiz learning. The implementation of this method has proven effective in improving the ability of students to understand and translate the Qur'an lafziyah. With a pleasant learning atmosphere and supported by adequate facilities, the Tamyiz method is able to produce a generation that is intellectually intelligent, strong in faith, and virtuous.

Abstract

This article attempts to clarify the relationship between educational institutions and increasing human resource competitiveness in the era of Society 5.0. However, to strengthen the focus and relevance of the research, it is important to link the role of educational institutions with the characteristics of Society 5.0, such as the need for innovation, multifunctional collaboration, and adaptability to technology. This can help show how education can prepare individuals to be more competitive in an increasingly integrated and technology-based society. Therefore, policy and planning steps are needed in building national education, including 1. Committing to mastering basic literacy and numeracy skills, 2) Measuring learning regularly, accurately, and relevantly, 3) Aligning the system with learning commitments, 4) Supporting teachers in the teaching and learning process. 5) Adapting approaches in making educational policies. Support in adapting policies so that they are in accordance with the local context. The Central Government needs to map out areas that need extra assistance so that the policies that are created can focus on improving quality learning. Meanwhile, local governments can also collaborate with other elements of society, such as grassroots organizations and the private sector, in designing and implementing educational innovations.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the alignment between Quranic Education Learning textbooks for junior high schools (SMP/MTs) and the Quran Reading and Writing (BTQ) Instrument. The study analyzes the content of these textbooks to assess how well they align with the BTQ instrument. Using a library research approach under descriptive qualitative research, the data is analyzed through content analysis. The textbook Pendidikan Al-Qur'an, published by the South Kalimantan Education Office, is evaluated using the BTQ book from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The results show that competency achievement indicators are not included, especially in reading examples and the application of reading rules in certain surahs. However, the textbook meets several important indicators. It covers reading and writing Quranic verses, tajwid, tahsin, and murajaah, following the Islamic Education Learning Outcomes. The material aligns with Arabic language rules, tajwid, and makhārijul ḥurūf progressively, while also integrating tahsin and murajaah aspects. Furthermore, it incorporates elements of scientific and technological development and ensures completeness and systematic progression according to student levels. From an enrichment perspective, this textbook strengthens students' ability to read and memorize the Quran. It also offers comprehensive practice and evaluation, covering knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The practice approach follows the Talaki method and includes multiple-choice and essay tests, ensuring in-depth learning and skill development.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of pedagogical leadership and the implementation of project-based learning (PBL) on students' problem-solving abilities in Australia. In the context of modern education marked by the challenges of globalization and technological advancement, the PBL approach has proven to enhance student engagement in the learning process through real-world projects that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Pedagogical leadership, which includes support from school management and a culture of collaboration, plays a crucial role in fostering innovation in the implementation of PBL. This study employs qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, to gain a comprehensive understanding of how PBL is applied and its effects on students' problem-solving abilities. The research findings indicate that supportive pedagogical leadership, which encourages innovation and collaboration among teachers as well as parental involvement, can enhance student motivation and create a conducive learning environment. However, challenges such as limited teacher training and difficulties in integrating projects with national curriculum standards pose obstacles to the effective implementation of PBL. The study concludes that successful PBL implementation requires support from strong school leadership, provision of resources, and training for teachers. These findings have significant implications for education policy in Australia, particularly in designing a more relevant curriculum that prepares students to face real-world challenges.

Abstract

Evaluation in education and learning is essential for assessing student competencies, measuring teaching effectiveness, and ensuring continuous educational improvement. This study explores the development of measurement tools and their role in enhancing learning quality. Using a qualitative approach with a library research method, data collection is conducted through an in-depth review of academic literature, including books, journal articles, research reports, and educational policy documents. The study follows four stages: (1) identifying and selecting credible literature sources, (2) categorizing information based on key evaluation concepts, (3) conducting theoretical comparisons to identify similarities and differences, and (4) synthesizing findings to develop a comprehensive understanding of evaluation in education. The findings highlight the significance of valid and reliable measurement tools in accurately assessing learning outcomes. Effective evaluation not only measures student achievement but also functions as a feedback mechanism for educators, enabling them to refine teaching methods and curriculum design. Additionally, the study emphasizes that a well-structured evaluation system contributes to institutional development by promoting accountability, improving instructional strategies, and supporting evidence-based decision-making in education. To ensure the reliability of findings, the research applies a multi-source approach, comparing diverse academic references to validate information. The study concludes that an effective and structured evaluation process is vital for optimizing educational outcomes, fostering student success, and enhancing overall teaching quality. Recommendations for future research include expanding the scope of evaluation methods and integrating technology-based assessment tools for more accurate and comprehensive learning evaluations.

Abstract

Education holds a fundamental position in Islam, as emphasized in the first revelation to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Surah Al-‘Alaq. This study aims to analyze the educational concepts presented in Surah Al-‘Alaq and their relevance to modern education. Using a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study interprets various primary sources, including Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir Al-Maraghi, and Tafsir Al-Misbah. The findings reveal that Surah Al-‘Alaq outlines key educational principles, such as the importance of reading and writing, lifelong learning, and ethical-spiritual foundations in education. The surah underscores the role of knowledge in human development and civilization, highlighting its transformative power. Moreover, the study finds that these principles remain highly relevant to contemporary education, particularly in strengthening literacy culture, integrating character education, and utilizing technology for learning. The study concludes that Surah Al-‘Alaq not only underscores the significance of knowledge but also provides guidance for a sustainable education system rooted in Islamic values. To ensure the holistic development of individuals and their contributions to society, Islamic education should reinforce the principles found in Surah Al-‘Alaq, fostering knowledgeable, ethical, and responsible learners.
