Abstract

Students carry out several strategies to be able to complete their thesis during the Covid-19 pandemic. Strategy is a way to achieve the expected goals. The purpose of this study is to find out the strategies undertaken by students in completing theses during the Covid-19 pandemic, to find out the intensity of students in implementing these strategies, and what obstacles are still found in completing the thesis. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Subjects of this study The subjects of this study were 15 students of class 2016 majoring in Economic Education, FKIP Syiah Kuala University who had carried out the thesis trial and who had completed the thesis and students who were waiting for their supervisory lecturer acc for the trial. To answer the problem formulation, interviews were conducted, the focus of the interview was on the strategies carried out by students, the intensity of the students in implementing the strategies and the obstacles faced by students after implementing the strategy of completing a thesis during the Covid-19 pandemic. Interviews using the WhatsApp application, Zoom Meeting, and face to face by applying health protocols. The results of interviews with 15 respondents found that there were several strategies carried out based on the rector's circular, namely implementing health protocols, looking for reference materials through online library applications, Google scholarships and Google books, adjusting research with data collection permits, implementing online and face-to-face guidance. , carry out self-quarantine for 14 days. The intensity of students is that they often look for reference materials but are not scheduled and often communicate with lecturers and thesis guidance is carried out once a week or 2 to 4 times a month. There are obstacles that are still found in completing the thesis, namely accessing library applications is hampered due to system errors, and not all pages of books on Google books can be opened, online guidance with an unstable connection makes the discussion disconnected.Keywords: Student strategy, completing the thesis

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of street vendors in terms of length of business, capital, trading locations and working hours in the Kota Baru area, Kuta Alam District and the constraints of street vendors in increasing income in the Kota Baru area, Kuta Alam District. This research approach is a qualitative approach and the type of descriptive research. The research respondents were 15 traders in the Kota Baru area, Kuta Alam District. Data was collected by using interview techniques, observation and literature study. The results showed that the income of street vendors in the Kota Baru area, Kuta Alam district, from permanent work as traders was an average of Rp. 403.333/ day. The lowest income was obtained by the grocery kiosk, which was Rp. 250,000/day, while the highest income was obtained by the Beverage seller of Rp. 550,000/day. The constraints of street vendors in increasing income in the Kota Baru area, Kuta Alam District, are the increasing number of traders selling the same merchandise, rising prices of goods in the market so that street vendors need a lot of capital and the security of selling locations from various Banda Aceh City government policies.Keywords: Street Vendors, Income, Kota Baru

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers are required to make different efforts and efforts than usual because every teaching and learning process activity is carried out remotely (online) and utilizes existing technology as a learning medium. Efforts taken by teachers in improving student learning activities through the use of Google Classroom and Google Meet. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the teacher's efforts in maximizing the use of the Google Classroom and Google Meet applications to increase student learning activities on economic subjects during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Takengon, how student activities are in all learning activities. which has been designed both on Google Classroom and on Google Meet and what obstacles are faced by teachers when using Google Classroom and Google Meet during online learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects of this study were 4 teachers of economics at SMA Negeri 1 Takengon. To answer the formulation of the problem, interviews were conducted. The results of interviews with 4 respondents found that the teacher's efforts in increasing learning activities using Google Classroom by uploading teaching materials such as modules, learning materials and LKPD in accordance with KD, also sharing youtube links and videos related to the material on the task features that will be discussed on Google Classroom. To improve student learning activities, teachers make discussions and monitor the course of discussions carried out on the available communication features and comment fields. The obstacles faced by teachers during online learning using Google Meet and Google Classroom services were that at first the teachers were not used to it and were still confused in using the features available in Google Classroom and Google Meet, Students lost motivation to learn during the online learning period during the Covid-19 pandemic. 19 and the limited facilities used for studying.Keywords: Effort, Google Classroom and Google Meet, Student learning activities.
