The Journal of Educational Technology and Innovation (JETI) publishes scientific papers that concentrate on teaching and learning science in school environments from early childhood to higher education as well as workplaces and informal learning, related to science education. Therefore, the aim is to link research with practice by providing information, ideas, opinions and insights. The JETI Journal welcomes contributions from around the world. In seeking research to publish, JETI looks for manuscripts that will contribute and advance our knowledge in science education research rather than duplicating what is already done and known. Therefore, JETI is also interested in publishing valid and original research that discusses the new capabilities of science learning/teaching and innovative practices in science learning/teaching. JETI specifically emphasizes research in educational practice and scholastic reality in schools up to university level. JETI may be directly concerned with science education, but also welcomes manuscripts in the field of interdisciplinary research, the journal focuses on. The results of initial observations in class XII Social Sciences 3 SMA Negeri 1 Tanggul Even Semester for the 2019/2020 Academic Year obtained data on the Economics subject teaching material "Characteristics of Trading Companies " students who have not achieved completeness as much as 44%, meaning that most students have not been actively involved in learning . The subjects and at the same time the objects in this study were all 36 students of class XII IPS 3 as many as 36 students. This research is a type of quantitative research. Data collection by the questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used is statistical analysis. In this Classroom Action Research, the researcher wants to provide a learning method that has never been applied before, namely the active debate method in Economics in class XII IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Tanggul Even Semester for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Abstract

The Sociology learning process carried out at SMA Negeri 4 has problems related to the learning process which still uses the lecture method, so students tend to be passive in the classroom. This resulted in less than optimal student learning outcomes. One alternative to encourage students to have better learning outcomes is the application of the Word Square learning model. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 4 Jember. The research sample was class XI IPS-2 as the experimental group and class XI IPS-1 as the control group with 37 students each. Sampling using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The data collection methods used include: tests and documents. The results of the research from the t-test 2,414 > 1.67, there are differences in learning outcomes between the experimental group using the Word Square learning model and the control group using the lecture learning model. The average learning outcome of the experimental group is 78.23, which is greater than that of the control group, which is 74.02, this means that the learning outcome of the experimental group is greater than that of the control group. From the results of observations of students on average, it shows that student learning outcomes have increased. This means that students like the learning process that applies the Word Square learning model in the learning process

Abstract

Some indicators of the emergence of learning motivation include the desire to succeed, encouragement and need in learning, future hopes and aspirations, appreciation in learning, interesting activities in learning and a conducive learning environment that allows students to learn well, the learning outcomes of class X students have not yet reached with a completion limit value of 70. One of the lessons learned to overcome this problem is to apply the exploration-based Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. The research was conducted using an experimental method with a one shot case study design. The population of the study was grade X students of SMAN. The research sample was taken by using convenience sampling technique. While the data analysis is quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the level of student activity in the three meetings were 96.76%, 96.77% and 100% of X MIPA 1 class students in the high and very high activity categories. In class XMIPA2 the percentage of activity in three meetings was 68.75%, 78.15% and 97.25% in the high and very high activity categories. Meanwhile, in the XMIPA3 class the percentages of activity were 62.27%, 76.03% and 97% in the high and very high activity categories. The results of the analysis of learning outcomes showed the average value of learning outcomes in class X MIPA1 reached 84.2; class X MIPA 2 reached 78.08 and class X MIPA 3 reached 79.15.Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of the exploration-based TGT learning model on Virus material on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMAN 1 Tanggul was effective in optimizing student learning outcomes and activities.
