Abstract

Agencies always strive for their employees to work well so that they can achieve the best performance. To create good employee performance, of course, there are several things that must be considered by agencies, such as work ability and work motivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work ability and work motivation on employee performance at the Ulu Musi Sub-District Office, Empat Lawang Regency. The sample in this study was 33 employees at the Ulu Musi Sub-District Office, Empat Lawang Regency. Data collection using questionnaires and the analysis method used is multiple linear regression, determination test and hypothesis testing. The results of multiple linear regression calculations obtained multiple linear regression equations Y = 8.650 + 0.334X1 + 0.478X2. The coefficient of determination of the Adjusted R square value is 0.455. This means that X1 (work ability), and X2 (work motivation) affect performance (Y) by 45.5% while the remaining 54.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The F test results show that the significance is 0.000 <0.05. Because the level of significance is below 0.05, it shows that together X1 (work ability) and X2 (work motivation) have a positive and significant influence together on performance (Y). Work ability has a positive and significant effect on performance because the significant value is 0.041 <0.05, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on performance because the value is 0.007 <0.05.

The success of a company is greatly influenced by the performance of its individual employees. Every company will always try to get the best performance from its employees, in the hope that the company's goals will be achieved. This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and work discipline on the performance of employees of PT Adira Finance Bengkulu City. Performance is the real behaviour that everyone displays as a work achievement produced by employees in accordance with their role (Rivai, 2019). Motivation is the drive or enthusiasm that arises within a person or employee to do something or work, motivation from outside both from superiors and the basis for fulfilling needs and a sense of satisfaction, as well as fulfilling responsibilities for the tasks assigned and carried out in the organisation (Robbins (2016). Indicators include: (physiological needs), (safety needs), (social needs), (esteem needs), (self-actualisation needs). Work discipline is the attitude or action of a person in obeying and being responsible for the rules and norms that have been listed in an entity or company (Rivai (2019). Indicators include: Attendance, Obedience, Adherence to work standards, High level of vigilance, Work ethically. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a sample withdrawal method using total sampling technique. The number of respondents in this study were 66 people. There are several data analysis techniques used in this study, including using instrument tests, classical assumption tests, respondent response analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and also hypothesis testing. From the results of the multiple linear regression test, the regression equation is obtained as follows: Y = 53.481 + 0.930 (X1) + 0.539 (X2). The results of the t hypothesis test on the motivation variable tcount> ttable which is equal to (2.976> 1.66901) and sig value. (0.004 < α 0.05), the work discipline variable shows tcount> ttable (2.722> 1.66901) and sig value. (0,008 < α 0,05). The f test results show Fcount> Ftable 26.666> 2.75 and sig value. (0,000 < α 0,05). So it can be concluded that motivation and work discipline together have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of PT Adira Finance Bengkulu City.

Abstract

This type of research is explanatory research, namely a study to determine whether there is a relationship between the variables studied. Based on the background that has been discussed, several problems arise, namely whether social media affects purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City Does price affect purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City Does product quality affect purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City Does Social Media, Price, and Product Quality affect purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City Based on the formulation of these problems, the objectives in this study are to determine the effect of social media on purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City to determine the effect of price on purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City to determine the effect of product quality on purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City to determine the effect of Social Media, Price, and Product Quality on purchasing decisions at Allbaik Chicken in Bengkulu City the results of the study state that there is an influence of social media (X1) on purchasing decisions (Y) Allbaik Chicken with a tsig. value < α (0.005 < 0.05) and a tcount> ttable value (2.924> 1.67065) thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the significance value obtained that variable X1 has an effect on purchasing decisions (Y). There is an effect of price (X2) on purchasing decisions (Y) Allbaik Chicken with a tsig. value < α (0.010 < 0.05) and a tcount> ttable value (2.672> 1.67065) thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the significance value obtained that the X2 variable has an effect on purchasing decisions (Y). There is an effect of product quality (X3) on purchasing decisions (Y) Allbaik Chicken with a tsig. value < α (0.006 < 0.05) and a tcount> ttable value (2.426> 1.67065) thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the significance value obtained that variable X3 has an effect on purchasing decisions (Y). The value of Fsig. < α 0.05 and Fcount > F table (111.421> 2.76) thus it can be concluded that together the independent variables affect the dependent variable.

Abstract

Value Added Tax is a tax imposed on the consumption of goods and services within the customs area. The contribution of Value Added Tax is considered important for state income because it is the second largest contributor to this type of tax. Value Added Tax is directly related to people's behavior in consuming goods and services which is closely related to the macroeconomic conditions of a country, therefore this research uses macro-economic variables in the form of inflation and the rupiah exchange rate. Apart from that, internal roles to maximize Value Added Tax revenues also need to be considered, such as the number of Taxable Entrepreneurs who have the obligation to collect, deposit and report Value Added Tax payable. Data on inflation, rupiah exchange rate and number of Taxable Entrepreneurs used are secondary data from 2010-2014. This type of research uses explanatory research using a quantitative approach method. Based on the independent variables in the form of inflation data, the rupiah exchange rate and the number of Taxable Entrepreneurs, while the dependent variable uses Value Added Tax revenues, the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the t and F hypothesis tests, the independent variable has a partial and simultaneous influence on the dependent variable. Based on the Adjusted R Square value, it shows that the dependent variable can be explained by 51.3% by the independent variable.

Abstract

Tax is an obligation that must be fulfilled by individuals or legal entities to the state without direct compensation, which is used for the benefit of the state for the welfare of the people. To manage taxes, a tax law system is needed that regulates the relationship between the government as collector and the people as tax payers. In Indonesia, tax collection faces various problems, such as weak regulations, lack of socialization, low tax awareness and knowledge, and economic problems. Apart from that, incomplete databases and suboptimal law enforcement are also challenges. The solution to overcome this problem is through tax reform which includes: improving tax regulations, increasing outreach to increase knowledge and awareness of taxpayers, evaluating policies, providing a more complete and secure database, and more firm and consistent law enforcement. In addition, tax collection must be carried out fairly, based on law, without disrupting the economy, efficiently and with a simple system.
