Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher's concern regarding the impact of parental support during study hours on social-emotional development. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Primary data sources included principals, teachers, parents, and children as supporting data. Secondary data sources included documentation such as observation notes and interviews, as well as photographs related to parental support during study hours on social-emotional development. Data analysis techniques used included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Based on the research results shows that the form of parental assistance during study hours for social emotional development includes: (1) Providing learning facilities, (2) Providing motivation, (3) Monitoring the use of study time, (4) Recognizing and overcoming children's difficulties in learning. The teacher's solutions to address parents who accompany children during study hours include: First, Teachers as Informants are the first source of information at school, both academic and general information. Second, Teachers as Motivators are an important role in their interactions with students. Third, Teachers as Facilitators where teachers must provide possible facilities such as how teachers make a comfortable classroom, provide learning facilities. The indicators of social emotional development include: Self-awareness, Sense of responsibility for oneself and others, and Social behavior. The impact of parental guidance during study hours can affect the child's social and emotional development indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the parenting styles used by parents in guiding children to memorize short suras in Karang Sembung Hamlet and to identify the obstacles and solutions parents encounter in guiding children aged 5-6 years to memorize short suras in Karang Sembung Hamlet. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method. The data sources used were primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The primary data sources were obtained from field interviews with parents of children attending RA/TK (kindergarten). Secondary data sources were obtained from books, journals, theses, news, the internet, documents, and scientific literature related to the research topic. The study concluded that the parenting styles used to guide children to memorize short surahs in Karang Sembung Hamlet were authoritarian, implemented by two informants, permissive, and democratic. Inhibiting factors and solutions for parents in guiding children to memorize short surahs in Karang Sembung Hamlet included parental emotional stability, limited parental time, environmental factors, limited parental attention, and limited parental knowledge of the memorization process (murojaah). Meanwhile, the solutions implemented by parents include creating a conducive atmosphere, implementing a reward and punishment system, optimizing the roles of family members, providing motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the emotional development and independence of children aged 5-6 and the causes of delays in emotional development and independence in children aged 5-6 at RA Zayyad Az-Zahra Tembelok. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used three methods: observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Data validity was checked through diligent observation and triangulation. Based on research conducted by researchers at RA Zayyad Az-Zahra Tembelok, the emotional development and independence of children aged 5-6 years were determined. Three children (AY, KAT, and M) were not yet fully developed emotionally, such as not being able to control their feelings, not being able to demonstrate self-confidence, not being able to understand rules and discipline, not being able to share, help, and assist friends, and not being able to show empathy. Meanwhile, in terms of independence, they were not yet able to tie and untie their own shoelaces, eat and drink independently, use the toilet independently, and do their own homework. Factors contributing to delays in emotional development include learning experiences, learning by imitation, and environmental factors. Factors contributing to delays in independence include parenting styles, gender, and genes/heredity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of YouTube and TikTok as audio-visual-based applications widely used as a means to optimize child development, particularly in the aspect of language development. The purpose of this study was to find out the impact of audio-visual media (Youtube and Tiktok) on the language development of 5-6 year old children in RT.07 Dasan agung Pelita. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, which aims to describe the situation objectively through words and sentences. The results show that YouTube and TikTok have a significant impact on the language development of 5-6 year-old children in RT.07 Dasan Agung Pelita. The identified positive impact is an increase in children's vocabulary through the content they watch. However, there are also negative impacts, such as the potential for addiction in children and a lack of direct interaction with others around them.

Abstract

This research was motivated by a deep curiosity about bullying in children aged 4-6 years in Tirpas Tirtanadi Hamlet. Many parents are still unaware of the parenting styles they provide that can lead to children becoming victims of bullying. The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the factors that cause bullying behavior in early childhood in Tirtanadi Village, East Lombok; and (2) the impact of bullying on the social-emotional development of early childhood in Tirtanadi Village, East Lombok. The author used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, with children aged 4-6 years in Tirpas Tirtanadi Hamlet as the subjects. The data collection techniques used by the researchers included unstructured interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis employed Miles and Huberman's data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study indicate that (1) the factors contributing to bullying behavior in early childhood in Tirtanadi Village, East Lombok are: (a) family factors; (b) peer factors; (c) individual factors. (2) The impact of bullying on the social and emotional development of early childhood in Tirtanadi Village, East Lombok, is: (a) aggressive behavior; (b) emotional instability; (c) low self-confidence; and (d) lack of social skills.
