The farming institution that has been established in Torongrejo Village has not yet functioned maximally in providing services to its members. However, Torongrejo Village has significant potential for mustard plant development. The objective of this research is to understand the strategies for strengthening the Mustard Farming Institution in Torongrejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City, as well as to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in strengthening the Mustard Farming Institution in Torongrejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City. This study employs a qualitative method. Data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The number of respondents involved was 41 farmers from 6 farmer groups. Data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the greatest strength factor in strengthening the mustard farming institution is the availability of Human Resources Training in managing the Mustard Farming Institution. The biggest weakness factor is the limitation of the younger generation interested in vegetable farming. Meanwhile, the greatest opportunity for strengthening the institutional capacity of mustard farmers is the chance to manage farmer institutions professionally with the availability of human resources training. The biggest threat is the government's policy changes regarding the use of agricultural land for vegetables, as well as the declining number of vegetable farmers if there are no young vegetable farmers. The formulation of strategies that can be implemented to strengthen the institutional capacity of mustard farmers in Torongrejo Village, Batu City includes 14 strategies, consisting of 4 strategies in the S-O component, 4 strategies in the W-O component, and 3 strategies each in the S-T and W-T components. The suggestion for the farmers' organization in this research is to pay attention to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that have been identified as evaluation material in the activities program for mustard plant agriculture in Torongrejo Village.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic country located on the equator, has a significant economy, primarily through the agricultural sector. To increase agricultural yields, efforts are needed to improve the quality of human resources, particularly farmers, one of which is through extension activities. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of sweet corn farmers with the performance of agricultural extension services in Giripurno Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a Likert Scale and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results indicate that farmer satisfaction is very high and that extension services play a significant role in agricultural businesses. However, extension workers still need to improve the quality of service and program effectiveness so that all farmers can optimally benefit.

Abstract

The management of productive and sustainable natural resources (SDA) is one of the keys to rural development. Gintung Village, Sukadiri District, Tangerang Regency has great potential in agriculture, fisheries, and ecotourism, yet it has not been fully utilized. This research aims to empower the youth to take an active role as a driving force in managing SDA based on innovation and sustainability. The implementation methods include situational analysis, technical training, entrepreneurial mentoring, marketing digitization, and continuous evaluation. The results of the activities show a significant increase in the knowledge, skills, and motivation of the youth in managing SDA potential. Several youth groups have successfully initiated organic farming ventures, catfish farming, and the promotion of local products through digital media. This program also encourages the creation of environmental awareness and multi-stakeholder collaboration among youth, village governments, academics, and the private sector. This success proves that a participatory approach, targeted training, and sustainable support can strengthen the capacity of youth in promoting self-sufficient, competitive, and sustainable village development.

Abstract

This program was implemented in Gintung Village, Sukadiri District, Tangerang Regency, with the aim of developing a sustainable agricultural system to encourage local economic independence. Gintung Village, where the majority of residents are farmers, still practices conventional farming systems with a heavy reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. This condition has the potential to reduce land fertility and negatively impact the environment. Using a participatory, education-based approach, this activity was carried out in the form of seminars and open discussions with farmers and community leaders. The seminars focused on increasing understanding of sustainable agricultural practices, the use of organic fertilizers, wise natural resource management, and community-based marketing strategies. The results of the activity showed an increase in farmer knowledge, the formation of organic farmer group initiatives, and the creation of direct distribution channels between farmers and local consumers. This program not only increases land productivity in an environmentally friendly manner but also strengthens the village economy through collaboration. Going forward, this activity model has the potential to be replicated in other areas with similar characteristics.

Boyolali Regency is one of the areas in Central Java. Boyolali Regency itself has enormous potential in the agricultural sector. Agricultural economic policy is one of the things that is currently important for the government sector to formulate. This agricultural economic policy functions to bridge important strategies between farmers and the community and local government to determine the right steps in optimizing agricultural potential itself. This research aims to examine agricultural economic policy models for improving agricultural digitalization performance in Boyolali Regency. The method used in this research is an analytical descriptive method using primary and secondary data. Currently, the Boyolali Regency regional government is quite active in developing the agricultural sector, starting with infrastructure development, providing intensive care and assistance, and transforming into the digital sector. Digital development or transformation in the agricultural sector has a vital role in supporting the optimization of agricultural products in the Boyolali Regency. Even though this program has been carried out quite massively by the Boyolali regional government, it is important to continue to carry out further development. This digitalization also includes the use of appropriate and appropriate agricultural tools to make agricultural activities more effective.
