Abstract

The aim of this research is to increase students' interest in learning by using the interactive media Educaplay during the learning process. This PTK includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 27 students of class X TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 4 Gowa. Student learning outcomes are still low, only 33.3% of students meet the criteria, with an average score of 73.70. After implementing educaplay interactive media. Cycle I showed an increase in the average student score to 79.62 and the level of learning completion increased to 40.7%. However, in cycle I the set indicators had not been achieved, so it was continued to cycle II, where the percentage of students who met the criteria was 81.4%. Abstract

One of the efforts to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes is by using the Quiz Team type active learning model. This study aims to determine and describe the effectiveness of mathematics learning through the use of the Quiz Team type learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 13 Makassar. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). Sampling was carried out by Simple Random Sampling. The research instruments used consisted of student activity observation sheets and learning outcome tests. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the Use of the Quiz Team Type Active Learning Model was effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 13 Makassar. This can be seen from the significant increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes by implementing the Quiz Team Type Active Learning Model. This can be seen from the high increase in the average value of students' mathematics learning outcomes before and after treatment. In the pre-test, the completion rate was only 35%, while the completion rate in cycle I was 61% and in cycle II increased to 91%, this shows a significant increase in learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is a type of classroom action research (PTK) which aims to increase students' active learning in advanced mathematics through the application of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. The subjects in this research were class XI students. 4 at UPT SMA Negeri 13 Makassar consisting of 34 students. The instruments used to collect data include observation sheets on learning implementation, student activity observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative descriptive techniques using percentages. The results of the research show that the application of the TaRL learning approach is able to increase students' advanced mathematics learning skills. This can be seen from the percentage increase in student activity results from cycle I to cycle II, where the increase includes all indicators. And overall it increased by 8.7%.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative study that aims to determine students' metacognitive abilities in solving problems of three-variable linear equation systems in class X students of SMA Negeri 15 Makassar who were selected based on certain criteria with the snowball sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by giving problem-solving tests supported by interview data. Data validity testing used source triangulation. The results of the study showed that students with high and low mathematical abilities in solving problems of three-variable linear equation systems had metacognitive awareness and were aware of how to use a strategy, but only students with high abilities had metacognitive regulation and evaluation. This shows that in solving mathematical problems, students with high academic abilities involve three components of metacognition, namely awareness, regulation, and evaluation. Meanwhile, students with low academic abilities were only able to involve one component of metacognition, namely metacognitive awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' engagement and learning outcomes in the Computer Systems course for the TKJ class at SMK Negeri 5 Makassar through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method using Quizizz in paper mode. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two sessions for material delivery and evaluation tests. The collected data comprised students' learning outcomes, which were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and percentages. The findings revealed that in the first cycle, the percentage of classical completeness reached 78.515% (categorized as sufficient), while in the second cycle, it increased to 81.121% (categorized as good), showing an improvement of 2.61%. This indicates that the application of the TGT method combined with Quizizz can enhance students' engagement in the learning process and improve their understanding of Computer Systems material, particularly on hardware and software topics. Although the improvement in learning outcomes was not substantial, the increase in classical completeness demonstrates the effectiveness of the TGT method in improving the quality of learning. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more interactive and enjoyable teaching methods at the vocational high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model in improving mathematics learning outcomes for students at SMAN 10 Makassar. A quasi-experimental research design was used with a pretest-posttest control group. The research sample included 120 students, with 60 students in the experimental group and 60 students in the control group. The experimental group was taught using cooperative learning, while the control group received conventional teaching. The results indicated that the experimental group achieved significantly higher posttest scores than the control group, demonstrating the positive impact of cooperative learning on students' mathematics performance. These findings suggest that cooperative learning can be an effective strategy to improve learning outcomes in mathematics education.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia continues to progress, including in the field of mathematics education. However, mathematics is often considered a difficult subject by some students, so it can affect their learning outcomes. This research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI students at SMAN 12 Makassar through the application of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. This approach emphasizes grouping students based on their level of understanding and providing learning materials tailored to each student's needs. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a cycle model which includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research results show that the application of TaRL has succeeded in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. In the pre-test, only 33.33% of students achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), but after implementing TaRL, the percentage of learning completion increased to 66.67% in the first cycle and reached 88.89% in the second cycle. This increase was also accompanied by an increase in the average student score from 56.67 to 75. The TaRL approach, which is tailored to students' ability levels, has proven to be effective in overcoming differences in understanding between students, increasing engagement, and improving their learning outcomes. This research shows that this approach can be used as a solution to overcome gaps in understanding in mathematics learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach has been identified as an innovative method to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing TaRL on the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade IX students at SMP Negeri 3 Makassar, specifically on the topic of root forms. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis-McTaggart spiral model, conducted in two cycles. The results show a significant increase in the percentage of students achieving mastery, from 21.7% in the pre-cycle phase to 56.5% in the first cycle and reaching 82.6% in the second cycle. The TaRL approach proved effective in providing personalized learning tailored to individual students' abilities, creating more meaningful learning experiences. This study contributes significantly to the development of innovative teaching strategies that address the diverse needs of students, particularly in mathematics education.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the important factors that influence students' learning outcomes. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to pay attention to students' learning motivation by implementing engaging and enjoyable teaching methods. This study aims to determine the effect of reward provision on students' mathematics learning motivation. The method used in this research is classroom action research, with data collection techniques including observation, documentation, and tests. Data analysis is conducted using a descriptive approach. The sample in this study consists of students from class VIII-1 at SMP Negeri 30 Makassar. The results indicate that the provision of rewards positively affects students' mathematics learning motivation.
