Abstract

Seeing the development and fashion needs of the people in the city of Manokwari, especially for the indigenous Arfak people, researchers tried to meet this community's needs by designing noken with motifs and colors from the traditional arrangements of the native Arfak people. Visual analysis will be used in conducting the evaluation. The examination is carried out directly based on an assessment of the product produced by providing a specific explanation regarding the ergonomic and aesthetic elements inherent in the product. No particular standards are used in the analysis because this research analyzes products that do not have standard measures in their processing or use. Meanwhile, to determine the level of public satisfaction with the noken designed by researchers, a questionnaire was used for several people who were used as samples for decision-making. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, then the questionnaire was analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Based on the discussion results, designing an ergonomic Papuan noken was carried out by paying attention to several influencing factors: security, comfort and flexibility. In contrast, creating an aesthetic Papuan noken was carried out by paying attention to several influencing factors, namely artistic, cultural, and religious values. The level of public satisfaction with the new Papuan noken design by researchers reached 76%, 78% from the ergonomic side and 75% from the aesthetic side.

Abstract

Marketing strategy is a management structured to accelerate solving marketingproblems and making strategic decisions. Marketing strategy has an important role inachieving business success, therefore the marketing sector plays a major role in realizingstrategic marketing plans to increase product sales. This can be done, if the company wants tomaintain and increase sales of the products or services they produce. By implementing anaccurate marketing strategy through the use of opportunities to increase sales, the company'sposition in the market can be improved or maintained. CV. Harum Manis is the only factorythat produces packaged tea drinks in West Papua. This local product from Sorong is actuallyless popular when compared to packaged tea from outside the Sorong area. The researchmethod used is SWOT analysis. The Internal Condition on the Strength Factor is worth 2.00and the Weakness Factor is worth 1.90, while the External Condition on the OpportunityFactor is 2.19, while the Threat Factor is 1.60. The results of the SWOT analysis show thatCV HARUM MANIS is in the Quadrant I WO (Weakness – Opportunity) position. Judgingfrom the position of the company is in Quadrant I where Quadrant I is a very profitablesituation. Where companies in this quadrant have opportunities and strengths so they can takeadvantage of existing opportunities.

Abstract

The PWJ Brown Sugar Factory is one of the MSME industries which operates in the F&Bproduction sector, mainly brown sugar production. Sales at this factory often change every month.Therefore, it is necessary to plan production quantities so there are no excesses or shortages whenproducing brown sugar. According to available resources, this research aims to optimizeproduction and profits in making brown sugar at the PWJ Brown Sugar Factory. To maximizeprofits, the simplex linear programming method will be used. The linear programming methodhelps companies by combining product variations based on the company's limited resources. Inthis research, the data calculation process to maximize profits was carried out using the MicrosoftExcel application. Data collection carried out in this research was through direct interviews withbrown sugar factory owners in the Sorong Regency area. Next, the data is processed using alinear program, especially the simplex method. This research discusses two types of brown sugar:type A and type B. The price of brown sugar in this factory is 18,000-22,000/kg. The maximumprofit at the PWJ Brown Sugar Factory will be obtained when producing 15 kilograms of type Abrown sugar and 12kg of type B with a total income of Rp. 546,000-. This research can still bedeveloped, so it is recommended for future researchers to use other applications as comparisonmaterial.

Abstract

In the Papua Noken bag production process, the problem that often occurs is a lack ofcreativity in modifying the product, caused by lack of trained workers, poor sorting ofraw materials, improper function of tools, not using dyes and no place to store finishedproducts. This research aims to analyze quality control on changes to modifications ofPapuan noken. The steps are to collect data using check sheets, Fishbone Diagrams,Implementation of improvements and Sales Analysis. The results of the analysis showthat with the Quality Control approach, it is known that the factors that influencechanges in the Wamena Noken modification include material, human,machine/equipment, and method factors. The change that stands out the most is theincrease in production capacity from only one kind and following conditions to four oreven more types.

Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in driving the economy, even though they are small scale, thesebusinesses are able to help the wheels of a country's economy. MSMEs are a large and diversesector, and their contribution to economic growth and job creation is very significant. One of thepopular MSME sectors is the snack food industry, including the production of taro chips. Theobstacle in running this MSME is that it only looks at previous demand without using a productionplanning strategy. The non-implementation of production planning strategies is motivated byvarious factors. In this research, we will discuss the optimal production amount for Keladi ChipsMSMEs so that profits can be maximized by using the Linear Programming method. The datarequired to use the Linear Programming method is collecting data such as product type, productyield data, number of working days data, and sales data. This research produces a monthlyproduction profit of Rp. 7,584,000 of them with a production output of taro chips products of 900packs in one month.
