Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of smart farming-based agricultural technology in improving the welfare of farmers in Durian Village, Janapria District. Smart farming is a modern agricultural approach that utilizes information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance production efficiency, resource management, and data-driven decision-making. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies. The findings reveal that the implementation of technologies such as soil sensors, automated irrigation, drone-based land monitoring, and mobile applications for farm management significantly increased land productivity by 25%. Additionally, farmers' incomes rose by an average of 20% annually due to more efficient management and reduced production costs. However, challenges include farmers' limited technological understanding, inadequate infrastructure, and relatively high initial costs. This study recommends strengthening training programs for farmers, developing supporting infrastructure, and providing government subsidies to expand the adoption of smart farming technology. Thus, the application of smart farming demonstrates significant potential to enhance the welfare of rural farmers.

Abstract

Sukarara, Central Lombok, is renowned as a hub for traditional woven fabrics rich in cultural and economic value. However, SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in this sector often face challenges in marketing their products, especially in the digital marketplace. This study aims to formulate an empowerment strategy for traditional weaving SMEs through digital marketing training and local product branding. The research employed a participatory approach with SME actors, including needs identification, intensive training, and mentoring in the implementation of digital marketing strategies. The results showed that the training enhanced SME actors' skills in utilizing social media, creating creative content, and leveraging local cultural values as market appeals. This strategy effectively expanded market reach, increased income, and strengthened the positioning of local products in the global market. This research is expected to serve as a model for culturally-based SME empowerment programs in other regions.

Abstract

Community-based marine resource management among fishermen in Sumbawa Island is a key strategy to support local culinary tourism. This article aims to analyze how community-based approaches can enhance the added value of marine products and strengthen the appeal of culinary tourism in the region. The methods include interviews with local fishermen, field observations, and secondary data analysis from tourism and fisheries reports. The findings indicate that through community-based management, such as the establishment of fishermen's cooperatives, training on seafood processing, and collaboration with the tourism sector, economic and social potential can be improved. This strategy also promotes the sustainability of marine ecosystems. Therefore, community-based marine resource management among fishermen in Sumbawa Island serves as a replicable model for supporting sustainable tourism in other regions.

Abstract

Bima Regency has significant potential in the agricultural sector; however, agricultural waste often remains underutilized. This study aims to identify opportunities to optimize agricultural waste into innovative processed products with high economic value. The research approach includes analyzing waste potential, conducting processing trials, and evaluating the economic value of the resulting processed products. The findings reveal that various types of agricultural waste, such as straw, corn husks, and rice husks, can be transformed into valuable products like animal feed, compost, and handicraft materials. Furthermore, the active participation of local communities in this innovation process has positively impacted community-based economic development. Optimizing agricultural waste not only increases farmers' income but also supports the concept of a circular economy and environmental sustainability. This study recommends developing training programs and cross-sector collaborations to expand the implementation of these innovations to other regions.

Abstract

The NTB Zero Waste program is a government initiative aimed at creating a clean and sustainable environment through integrated waste management. This study seeks to educate the community of Praya District on effective waste management aligned with the NTB Zero Waste program. The approach involves socialization, training, and mentoring the community, focusing on sorting organic and inorganic waste, transforming waste into economically valuable products, and applying the 3R principles (reduce, reuse, recycle). The results show an increase in community awareness regarding independent waste management, enhanced participation in cleanliness programs, and a reduction in unmanaged waste. These findings indicate that continuous education and collaboration with government programs can positively impact local waste management. This study can serve as a reference for implementing similar programs in other regions.
