Journal of Education, Pedagogy and Teacher Training is a peer-reviewed, on-line academic journal devoted to research in the field of Education, Teaching, and Teacher Training. The journal is published twice a year in May and November. Authors must register to this journal before submitting their work and they must follow the Author Guidelines of the journal. Submissions that do not adhere to the guidelines provided will be REJECTED. Please submit your article through the online submission of this journal. Submitted writing should normally range from 4,000 to 6,000 words, although up to 7,000 words will be accepted under exceptional circumstances. The journals have a policy of “Zero Tolerance on Plagiarism”. We recommend that authors check their articles with plagiarism prevention tools (ithenticate.com, turnitin.com, etc.) before submission.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning by using Cooperative model with the jigsaw type. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. The data for this study were obtained by test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure learning outcomes and observations are used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with indicators of research success. The results of the study indicate that Cooperative model with the jigsaw type can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completion in each cycle with details of the pre-cycle 48.71%, the first cycle 66.39% and in the second cycle it increased to 89.66%. Thus, the use of Cooperative model with the jigsaw type can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

Menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama sejak dini merupakan upaya strategis untuk menciptakan generasi yang toleran, inklusif, dan siap menghadapi tantangan global. Indonesia, sebagai negara multikultural, menghadirkan realitas keragaman agama, budaya, dan etnis yang menuntut pendidikan untuk menumbuhkan sikap toleransi dan saling menghormati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan toleransi beragama di kalangan siswa kelas enam MIN 1 Bener Meriah melalui penggunaan permainan puzzle sebagai media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Puzzle dipilih karena dapat merangsang kemampuan kognitif, sosial, dan emosional sekaligus menyampaikan nilai-nilai penting seperti kerjasama, saling menghormati, dan kebersamaan. Dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis permainan, siswa secara aktif terlibat dalam menyusun potongan puzzle yang berisi pesan-pesan moderasi beragama, sehingga proses belajar menjadi lebih bermakna dan menyenangkan. Pendekatan ini sejalan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran pengalaman serta pengembangan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, khususnya pada dimensi iman, takwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, akhlak mulia, dan keberagaman global. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan siswa dapat menginternalisasi sikap toleransi, menghargai perbedaan, serta mengembangkan keterampilan sosial yang mendukung pembentukan generasi global dengan karakter moderat dan inklusif.
