Abstract

This research explores the creation and implementation of an Employee Data Information System (EDIS) in Peukan Baro District, Pidie Regency, designed to replace the outdated manual system used for managing employee data. The previous system, which relied on Microsoft Word and Excel, was inefficient, especially in tasks such as searching for employee data and generating reports. To address these challenges, a new system was developed using Microsoft Visual BASIC 6.0 and Microsoft Access 2007. The system streamlines the data management process, enabling real-time updates and enhancing the decision-making process. The development followed a series of steps, including a Feasibility Study, Preliminary Planning, System Analysis, and System Design, where the needs of the users were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The system design incorporates user-friendly forms such as the Employee Data Input and Training Data Input forms, allowing for smooth data entry and reducing the risk of errors. The Main Menu Form functions as a central navigation point, giving users easy access to various sections of the system. The implementation of EDIS improved the quality of public services in the district by making employee data more accessible and streamlining administrative tasks. The findings suggest that the success of such a system relies on more than just technology. Infrastructure readiness, employee training, and leadership support play critical roles in ensuring the effective use of digital systems in public administration.

Abstract

The implementation of a new information system at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pidie Regency aimed to improve the efficiency of data processing, replacing the manual system that relied on Microsoft Word and Excel. The previous system led to delays, errors, and inefficiencies in generating reports. A new solution was developed using Microsoft Visual BASIC 6.0, addressing these issues by automating the data processing workflow. The development process included a feasibility study, system design, and coding, followed by thorough testing and staff training to ensure effective use of the system. The new system has successfully sped up data processing, reduced errors, and improved the accuracy of reports. This digital upgrade also enhanced transparency and accountability within BPS. The findings from this study demonstrate that the shift to automated information systems can significantly improve the operational efficiency of government agencies. The successful implementation of this system at BPS Pidie offers a potential model for other regions looking to modernize their data management processes.

Abstract

This research discusses the design and implementation of an information system for laboratory equipment management at SMK 1 Sigli, specifically in the Fashion Design department. Manual management of laboratory equipment often leads to inefficiencies and errors in data recording. To address these issues, a computer-based system was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Access, replacing the previously used Microsoft Excel-based system. The system automates several processes, such as data entry, equipment tracking, and report generation, improving operational efficiency. A needs analysis was conducted with laboratory managers to ensure the system design met the operational requirements. The development process included creating a user-friendly interface and an organized database structure. As a result, the system enables real-time monitoring of equipment, reduces errors, and speeds up decision-making related to maintenance and procurement. Feedback from laboratory staff indicates that the system successfully improves the accuracy and efficiency of equipment management. This research provides a practical solution that can be applied to other schools facing similar challenges in laboratory resource management.

Abstract

This study addresses the development of an automated water bill arrears management system for PDAM Tirta Mon Krueng Baro, aiming to replace the previous manual method that relied on Microsoft Excel. The old system resulted in errors, delays in report generation, and difficulties in tracking overdue payments, which impacted both financial management and customer service. The newly designed system utilizes Microsoft Access and Visual Basic 6.0 to streamline data entry, reduce errors, and enable efficient tracking of overdue bills. With a structured database and normalized tables, the system improves data accuracy, eliminates redundancy, and speeds up reporting processes. The adoption of this system ensures real-time updates and quicker decision-making, which enhances financial management. The user-friendly interface and automated features facilitate smooth implementation and greater user acceptance. By transitioning to a computerized system, PDAM Tirta Mon Krueng Baro can enhance operational efficiency, minimize errors, and improve customer satisfaction. The study demonstrates the positive impact of adopting modern technology to optimize service delivery in public utilities, offering a more effective approach to managing billing processes and overdue payments.

Abstract

Managing Poor Household Data (RPM) remains a major challenge for local governments aiming to enhance social policies and improve community welfare. Traditional manual data collection methods often lead to inaccuracies, delays, and inefficiencies, which affect the effectiveness of social programs. This research focuses on designing an information system for RPM data collection in Glumpang Tiga Subdistrict. The system utilizes Microsoft Access for database management and Visual Basic for the user interface, replacing outdated manual methods. It simplifies data entry, searching, and report generation, thus improving workflow and decision-making. Key features include user authentication, a user-friendly interface, and real-time data access, which enhance administrative efficiency and support quicker, more accurate decisions. Transitioning to an automated system offers numerous benefits, including faster data processing and reduced errors. The system is expected to improve the targeting and timeliness of social assistance programs, aiding poverty reduction efforts. Additionally, the system can serve as a model for other regions facing similar data management challenges. By integrating technology, public services become more efficient, contributing to better governance and more effective poverty alleviation
