Abstract

Algorithms for the synthesis of a fuzzy system for automatic control of natural gas desulfurization processes are presented. When forming the problem of analytical design of the regulator to control the temperature of the upper part of the column, the method of the minimum of the integral quality criterion was used. The presented results of mathematical and computer modeling showed that the designed optimal combined system can provide the required quality of the column temperature control process. The model parameters were estimated using the recursive filtering identification algorithm modified for the multidimensional case. In this case, the synthesis of a control algorithm consists of determining a control strategy that minimizes the variance of the controlled coordinate. The results of numerical analysis have confirmed their effectiveness, which makes it possible to use them in solving applied problems of optimizing the parameters of a combined fuzzy control system for the process of desulfurization of natural gas.

Abstract

Learning style is a term pointing out the variations of cognitive nature in the process of second language acquisition. It is the way toward which the learners show a big preference in especially understanding, forming ideas, organizing and remembering the data connected with learning a particular language. As for the statement of Cornett (1983) learning styles are global approaches such as global or analytic, auditory or visual, which are used by the students learning a new language or other subject. Moreover, Brown (2000) states that learning styles’ role in giving explanations to justify why some L2 learners achieve more success than others has not been founded well, it constitutes a complex communication with specific L2 contexts in learning. Likewise, Ehrman (1996) mentions that learning styles are not opposite to each other yet they normally operate on a multiple continua; for instance, a person may be more sociable than reversed, or more close than open, or may have equal visual and auditory styles but without much kinesthetic and tactile engagement.

Abstract

Nowadays economical automobiles are developed by more of electro mechanical parts with analog interface for efficient & cost-effective operation. Generally, a vehicle is built with an analog driver-vehicle interface for indicating various vehicle statuses like speed, fuel level, engine temperature etc. This paper presents a design & development of cost-effective solution for digital driving interface with a semi-autonomous vehicle improving the driver-vehicle interaction with increase in safety. Our designed system uses sensors to digital format and visualize them to the vehicle driver through a LCD display. The communication module used here is an embedded network bus CAN, which has efficient data transfer.

Abstract

Hand gesture recognition is one of the systems that can detect the gesture of hand in a real time video. The gesture of hand is classified within a certain area of interest. In this, designing of the hand gesture recognition is one of the complicated jobs that involves two major problems. Firstly, is the detection of hand. Another problem is to create the sign that is suitable to be used for one hand in a time. This project concentrates on how a system could detect, recognize and interpret the hand gesture recognition through computer vision with the challenging factors which variability in pose, orientation, location and scale. To perform well for developing this project, different types of gestures such as numbers and sign languages need to be created in this system. The image taken from the real-time video is analyzed via Haar-cascaded Classifier to detect the gesture of hand before the image processing is done or in the other word to detect the appearance of hand in a frame. In this project, the detection of hand will be done using the theories of Region of Interest (ROI) via Python programming. The explanation of the results will be focused on the simulation part since the different for the hardware implementation is the source code to read the real-time input video. The developing of hand gesture recognition using Python and OpenCV can be implemented by applying the theories of hand segmentation and the hand detection system which use the Haar-cascade classifier.
