Abstract

Moodle is one of the modern open platforms that can be used for distance learning, which is a package of programs that can be used to create e-courses. This is an education management system-LMS, which ensures good cooperation between teachers and students. The article deals with the issues of improving the quality of traditional learning using the electronic platform Moodle to effective independent e-learning. The methods of using various Moodle tools to provide interactive and stimulating learning while providing a location-based education by the teacher based on the information on the topics given on the basis of the program are also indicated; how with these tools students will develop their independent cognitive skills in various higher education institutions.

Abstract

It is known that the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region are one of the main problems of pediatric dentistry. According to a number of researchers, inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region account for up to 21 % of all surgical and 52% of dental diseases in childhood.

Abstract

spirituality is such a factor that determines the development of society, the perfection of people and nation and the perfection of personality, is the value that gives Man the essence and essence of humanity, elevates a person from Earth to heaven, encourages him to goodness. The absence of a branch of Hech, which is not directly related to the spirituality of science, is a fact that does not require proof.

Abstract

This study applied a hybrid Random Forest and Artificial Neural Network (RF-ANN) model in predicting the chances of IT employees developing mental disorder. To measure the performance of the model, Random Forest and Artificial Neural Networks algorithms were separately developed, their results were recorded and compared with the results of the hybridized model. The result obtained from the hybridized model showed a significant improvement in its performance over the individual performances of the Random Forest model and Artificial Neural Networks models. Hybridizing Random Forest and Artificial Neural Networks using “Bagging Ensemble” produced a model that was able to correctly predict the chances of IT employees developing Mental Disorder with 94% recall and 80% F1-score compared to 65% and 60% respectively in the Random Forest Model. With these results, applying the RF-ANN model on improved dataset could be investigated and compared with the results found in this study.

Abstract

Music genre classification system is a system that is important to the users for effectiveness in the digital music industry. One of the effective ways of genre classification is in music recommendation and access to users. With accurate classification system built, songs can be readily accessed by the users when the genre of the song is known and recommendation of songs to the users is made easy. Also, automatic classification of genre is important to solve problems such as tracking down related songs, discovering societies that will like specific songs and also for survey purposes. In recent times, deep learning techniques have proven to be effective in several classification tasks including music genre classification. This paper therefore examines the application of 1D Convolutional Neural Network for music genre classification. A new dataset consisting of 1000 Nigerian traditional songs with seven genres was used for this work. As features extraction is crucial to audio analysis, seven low level features also known as content based features were extracted from the songs in the dataset which served as input into the classifier. Our results showed that the accuracy level of the system is 92.5% with a precision of 92.7%, recall of 92.5% and f1 score of 92.5%.

Abstract

The administration of primary school education in Nigeria is plagued with problems. One of the problems hindering the effective administration of primary school education is the poor usage of information communication and technology. This paper discussed the challenges of sing ICT for the administration of primary school education. Secondary data and primary school data were sourced from print materials and online publication. The paper identified: inadequate funding of ICT programme, inadequate ICT facilities, poor implementation of ICT policies, poor computer literacy of admin staff, unstable power supply, poor internet services and high cost of ICT facilities. To solve these problem, the paper hereby recommends that the government should provide the primary schools in the Country with adequate ICT facilities. The government should increase the funding of ICT programme in the public primary schools in Nigeria and the government should organize constant training and retraining programme for primary school administrative staff and school administrators etc.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic since it advent in 2019 have affected the traditional conventional method of teaching and learning in all educational institutions across the world. The sudden switch over to online education by countries was easy for some advanced countries while developing countries faced with numerous challenges. Nigeria, which is one of the developing country in Africa and the world faced many challenges of deploying information communication technologies for teaching and learning during the covid-19 lock down. This paper wish to discuss the challenges faced by Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) in the deployment of ICT for teaching and learning during covid-19 lock down. Secondary data was used to support the various facts raised in the discussion. The findings revealed that the following are the major challenges or problems faced during the covid-19 era: inadequate funding, unstable power supply, high cost of ICT facilities, poor computer literacy among teachers and students, inadequate ICT professionals, inadequate ICT infrastructural facilities in schools and poor implementation of ICT educational policies. Based on this findings, it was recommended that government should provide adequate fund in education so as to ensure that online education are fully integrated into the Nigerian educational system.
