Abstract

Harga diri (self-esteem) dan kecemasan merupakan dua aspek psikologis yang saling terkait dan memengaruhi perkembangan siswa sekolah menengah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melaporkan penelitian tengtan harga diri siswa, kecemasan siswa, serta apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara harga diri dan kecemasan di kalangan siswa sekolah menegah di Minahasa Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 113 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Untuk menganalisis data, digunakan perhitungan nilai rerata (mean score) serta uji Koefisien Korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) Tingkat harga diri siswa memiliki skor rata-rata sebesar 2,25. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, tingkat harga diri siswa dikategorikan dalam tingkat sedang. (b) Tingkat kecemasan siswa memiliki skor rata-rata sebesar 2,60. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, tingkat kecemasan siswa juga dikategorikan dalam tingkat sedang. (c) Hasil perhitungan nilai signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,00 dan koefisien negatif (r = -0,29) menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif diterima bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan yang negatif antara harga diri dan kecemasan siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini mengonfirmasi adanya hubungan negatif antara tingkat harga diri dan kecemasan siswa, yang berarti bahwa semakin tinggi harga diri siswa, semakin rendah tingkat kecemasan yang mereka rasakan, dan sebaliknya. Temuan ini dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pendidik, orang tua, serta praktisi pendidikan dalam mengembangkan strategi untuk meningkatkan harga diri siswa agar mengurangi tingkat kecemasan mereka di lingkungan akademik maupun sosial.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between mindset and religiosity among graduating students from grades 6, 9, and 12 in one private international school in Indonesia. It also investigated potential differences in mindset and religiosity based on gender, grade level, and religious affiliation. Non-parametric tests were used in data analysis. Findings revealed a slightly more prevalent growth mindset and a moderate level of religiosity among the sampled students. While a weak negative correlation between religiosity and mindset is noted, it was not statistically significant. There were no significant differences in mindset and religiosity based on gender and grade level. However, there was a significant difference in religiosity based on religious affiliations, particularly between Buddhist and Christian students. Although mindset remained consistent across religious affiliations, implications suggest the need for educational approaches that consider religious and cultural contexts in fostering holistic student development.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in accounting education at SMK Negeri 1 Musuk. The primary focus of the research is on planning, implementation, and student learning outcomes. The research method employed is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that lesson planning has been well-structured, including the development of project-based teaching modules relevant to students’ needs. During the implementation phase, teachers successfully integrated real-world projects into the learning process, actively involving students in discussions, data collection, and presentation of results. The PjBL model has proven effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills in accounting subjects. However, the study also identified several challenges, such as differences in students' characteristics and learning abilities, time constraints, and limited resources (facilities) to optimize PjBL implementation. The study recommends providing additional facility support and training for teachers. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the development of innovative teaching strategies in vocational schools.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to explore whether there is a connection between students' habit of watching English movies and their speaking skills. Conducted with 8th-grade students at SMPN 2 Airmadidi during the 2023/2024 academic year, it involved 64 participants from B and C classes. The research utilized descriptive mean analysis and Pearson Product Coefficient Correlation to interpret the findings. Results indicated that students frequently watched English movies (average score of 4.25) and possessed high speaking ability (average score of 4.23). However, no significant correlation was found between these two factors (p = 0.129, r = 0.192), suggesting that other elements may play a more critical role in speaking proficiency. Despite the lack of a strong link, the study highlights the potential benefits of watching English movies as part of a broader language-learning strategy, contributing to motivation, cultural awareness, and overall language acquisition. The findings provide valuable insights into the relationship between movie-watching habits and speaking skills, emphasizing the need for diverse and multifaceted approaches in language education. Abstract

Tracer study merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk melacak jenjang karier lulusan suatu lembaga pendidikan guna mengumpulkan informasi terkait ketenagakerjaan, relevansi kurikulum, dan kepuasan terhadap pengalaman belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem tracer study berbasis web bagi SMK Negeri 1 Sorong dengan menggunakan framework Bootstrap guna meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan kegunaan bagi alumni dan pemangku kepentingan lembaga. Sistem ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan metodologi pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall yang meliputi fase analisis, desain, implementasi, dan pengujian. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu mengelola data alumni secara efisien, menyajikan laporan statistik yang informatif, serta menyediakan antarmuka yang responsif dan ramah pengguna. Implementasi Bootstrap memungkinkan tata letak yang adaptif di berbagai perangkat, sehingga meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna. Dengan sistem tracer study ini, SMK Negeri 1 Sorong dapat memperoleh data alumni yang akurat dan terkini, yang berguna untuk pengembangan kurikulum dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between student anxiety and academic performance, motivated by concerns that anxiety negatively affects classroom outcomes. Using a quantitative method, the research involved 42 participants and found that students generally experienced moderate anxiety, with an average score of 3.24 (ranging from 2.14 to 4.36). Similarly, students in class XI IPS 2, 3, and 4 demonstrated moderate academic achievement. A correlation analysis revealed a significant inverse relationship between anxiety levels and performance—students with higher anxiety tended to perform worse, while those with lower anxiety achieved better results. These findings highlight the impact of emotional well-being on academic success and suggest the importance of supporting students to manage anxiety effectively. Addressing this issue could lead to improved academic outcomes. The study also recommends that future research focus on developing and assessing interventions designed to reduce anxiety and enhance student performance in educational settings.
