Abstract

Abstract Abstract: Adi Kurniawan. ?METAL LAMP CRAFT? (A Case Study on Mr. Tutur Sudrajat Crafter in Majenang Village Sukodono Subdistrict Sragen Regency), Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University, January, 2013. The objective of research is to find out: 1) background of Mr. Tutur Sudrajat?s metal lamp craft establishment, (2) material and tools as well as process used, (3) design motive applied to metal lamp craft, and (4) finishing technique used. The strategy used was a single embedded case study. The data sources used were informant, place and event, document and literature. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and documentation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data validation was done using data triangulation and review informant. Techniques of analyzing data used were interactife: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. Considering the result of research, the following conclusion could be drawn. (1) The background of metal lamp craft establishment departed from Mr. Tutur hobby who loved art since he was very young. For that reason, he wanted to create the ornamental lamp with his own creation and attempted to make ornamental lamp with unique and different design motive, and finally, it is known as Metal Lamp Craft Ethnic. (2) The material and tools as well as process used in producing included: 2.1) Materials. a) main material: plate, carbon paper, treatment liquid, mica, lamp, cable, electrical plug, fitting, screw and bolt. b) supporting material: oil, glue. c) finishing material: putty, paint, thinner, stretch-resistant plastic, packing cardboard. 2.2) The tools used were: pencil, ballpoint, ruler, meter tape, U saw, jig saw, and mini drill, hand drill, stand drill, electric weld, cutter grinder, grinder, rived pincer, file, pincer, metal cutter, acrylic cutter, hammer, metal scissor, compass, sandpaper, screwdriver, brush, kanebo, compressor, spray gun, hair dryer. 2.3) The production process: preparing tool and material, preparing design mall, cutting the plate, moving the mall design into plate, cutting, sandpapering, making the hole for screw and bolt, metal folding, plat washing using treatment liquid, drying, drying heating, brushing, putty, priming up to finishing painting, paint drying, the installation of lamp fitting, cable, electric plug, mica, anterior, lamp covers installation, and packing, (3) the design motive applied to metal lamp craft included: a) pakem batik motif, b) contemporary batik motif, c) puppet motif, d) modern motif, e) ball logo motif, f) calligraphy motif, g) cartoon, (4) finishing technique used in producing metal lamp craft included: putty, sandpapering, painting, drying, and packaging. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of research is to find out: 1) the background of ?Bima Sakti? goat leather craft establishment existence and development; (2) the production and visualization process of Bima Sakti? goat leather craft; and (3) the meaning of Arabic calligraphy existing in goat leather calligraphy craft product produced by ?Bima Sakti? in Sonorejo, Sukoharjo.The subject of research was the Bima Sakti? goat leather craft. The data source derived from Mr. Sutiman as the owner of ?Bima Sakti?, Mr. Dodo as the secretary and public relations of ?Bima Sakti?, and Mrs. Rumini as the Sonorejo Village?s Chief of Village. Techniques of collecting data used  were observation, interview, and documentation. The data validation was done using triangulation, observation persistence, and detailed explanation. The data analysis was done using an interactive technique of analysis. The research procedure included proposal filing, field observation, data collection, and data organization stages.The result of research showed that the goat leather Arabic calligraphy craft center in Sonorejo Village at first producing leather puppet craft shifted into producing goat leather Arabic calligraphy craft because of consumer?s decreasing interest in the leather puppet craft at that time. The production and visualization process of goat leather Arabic calligraphy craft product done in ?Bima Sakti? included: 1) slaughtering; 2) goat leather processing, 3) goat leather Arabic calligraphy craft product designing; 4) silk-screening; 5) finishing; 6) packaging; and 7) distribution process. The product yielded, in addition to be used as interior decoration, could also give composure and peace suggestion for the Moslem who display it at home. It was done to touch the heart of human seeing it, because the producer realized that the calligraphy could reveal or generate human religious emotion relying on the symbolic power of the calligraphy. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengetahui proses pengembangan media pembelajaran batik menggunakan animasi multimedia interaktif pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya di SMA 1 Wonosobo. (2) Media pembelajaran Animasi Multimedia Interaktif untuk materi batik pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya baik untuk diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan, Model Pengembangan yang dipakai adalah model prosedural yaitu model yang bersifat deskriptif, menunjukkan langkah-langkah yang harus diikuti untuk menghasilkan produk. Sumber data yang dikumpulkan berupa data kuantitatif sebagai data pokok dan data kualitatif berupa saran dan masukan dari responden sebagai data tambahan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dengan sampel siswa kelas X1 SMA 1 Wonosobo. Untuk kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) Proses pengembangan media pembelajaran batik melalui animasi multimedia intraktif pada mata pelajaran seni budaya dapat dilakukan sesuai prosedur pengembangan mulai dari pemilihan materi, pengumpulan data, pembuatan media, sampai pengujian. Setelah dilakukan uji coba kelompok besar diperoleh data tertulis bahwa media masih harus mengalami revisi karena materi yang diberikan dianggap kurang, sehingga dilakukan revisi tahap akhir untuk mendapatkan media yang layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Kurang lengkapnya materi dikarenakan pengumpulan data berupa gambar dan video yang digunakan dalam media sebagian besar berasal dari internet. (2) Media pembelajaran animasi multimedia intraktif yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran batik pada mata pelajaran seni budaya, karena telah diuji kelayakannya oleh ahli media dan ahli materi pembelajaran dengan hasil layak, dan telah dilakukan uji kelompok pada siswa, dengan hasil prosentase pencapaian 80% pada uji kelompok kecil dan pada uji kelompok besar sebanyak 79,4% yang menunjukkan media tersebut layak untuk diterapkan. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran, batik, animasi multimedia interaktif, seni budaya.

Abstract

Abstract : The purposes of this study are to determine about: (1) History of Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM) goyor sheath business establishment. (2) Process of making Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM) goyor sheath. (3) Knowing the form of decorative motifs contained in the goyor sheath in Mr. Sudarto, Kenteng Village, Tawangsari District, Sukoharjo Regency. This research has conducted at the Perusahaan Maju that is binding woven craft of Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM) from July to November 2012. Desing of this research is qualitative with descriptive approach. Reasearch strategy is stuck single case study. Data sources used in the study are selected informants, Mr. Sudarto, Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM) goyor sheath craft business owner, Joko, sole heir craft business. Site, archive or document. Techniques of data collection using direct observation, interview and documentation. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. For data validation techniques using triangulation of data and review of informants. Data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to know: (1) Historycal of Elvie Ceramic Industrial Craft at Sayangan Hamlet Melikan Village Wedi Subdistrict Klaten Regency. (2) Elvie Ceramic production process at Sayangan Hamlet Melikan Village Wedi Subdistrict Klaten Regency. (3) Kinds of Elvie Ceramic Production at Sayangan Hamlet Melikan Village Wedi Subdistrict Klaten Regency. This research was done at Elvie Ceramics that is located at Sayangan Hamlet Melikan Village Wedi Subdistrict Klaten Regency began August until November 2012. This research used qualitative descriptive method with embedded research strategy. The data of this research was used qualitative data with informant, document, and literature as a data source. The sample is gained by using purposive sampling technique. To collect data was used observation, interview, and documentation with data triangulation and informant review as a data validity and data analysis technique was used flow model of analysis. Based on the result of research, it can concluded that: (1) Elvie Ceramics history is the industry are passed on from their parents and financial limidness while sufficient anough of human ruce source. (2) production process of Elvie Ceramics was done by pass through preparation stage (design, tool, material, technique), process (making process, drying, and burning process), and finishing stage (acrylic paint and kelambu). (3) The kinds of commodity result is household tool (Gentho, Wok, Plate, Mortar, Empluk, bowl and dranched, Ronde bowl), decorate things (flower vase), and student practice things.   Key word: Industry, Craft, Ceramic, Elvie

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of learning Batik Jumputan in Fine arts/ fine culture of the eight grade B students in SMP N 1 Eromoko, Wonogiri that includes the goal, subject to be learn, method, media, and learning evaluation. The research concludes that: (1) The goal of learning Batik Jumputan is the students are able to explain the textile concept by using technique and feature of Batik Jumputan, the students are able to  mention the material and equipment of Batik Jumutan/ dye cover, the students are able to make a useful thing by using Batik Jumputan technique/ dye cover. (2) the subject material of learning that been taught is making a variety of ornamental design in Batik feature. Work media of Batik Jumputan involves material, equipment, and technique. The steps of Batik Jumputan work involves design, preparation, process, and the work Batik Jumputan. (3) the learning method are : Speech is used when the teacher deliver the theory of Batik Jumputan subject, Question and answer is used to improve the deeper understanding of the subject material, Demonstration method is used when the teacher give an example of how to make Batik Jumputan, Discussion method is used by the teacher to share and give an input in the process of making the art work, and Assignment method is used to know how deep the students understanding of the subject material that has been taught. (4) The media of learning that is used to deliver the material or information in front of the class is white board, markers, sample of Batik Jumputan works, and books about Batik. Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are to know: (1) the establishment background of Batik Ismoyo Campany at Butuh, Gedongan, Plupuh, Sragen, (2) the making process of batik tulis in Batik Ismoyo Company, (3) the kinds of product of batik tulis produced by Batik Ismoyo company, (4) the special characteristics of batik tulis in Batik Ismoyo company, (5) the marketing system of batik tulis in Batik Ismoyo Company, (6) the positive and negative impacts that felt by people around Batik Ismoyo Company. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The research strategy used is stake-single case study. The sources of data are informant, place and research, result of work, archives, and documents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The trustworthiness techniques used are triangulation and review informant. There are three main components to analyze the data; they are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The researcher uses four stages of the research procedures; they are preparation, field work, analysis data, and final result of the report. Based on this research, the researcher can conclude: (1) Marjiyanto motivation to improved the economic condition of his family is the background of establishment Batik Ismoyo Company. The name of Ismoyo chosen as the name of the company taken from one of the puppet characters, (2) the making process of batik tulis in Batik Ismoyo Company begins with the design, nyorek, ngengrengi, ngisen, Isen, nyolet, ngeblok, coloring and nglorod and owners directly involved in the process in order to remain control the quality of batik, (3) Products in Company Batik Ismoyo such as clothing for men and women ready to wear as well as in the form of batik cloth sheet, from fabric Primissima, dobi and silk ATBM, (4) batik tulis produced by Batik Ismoyo Company doesnt have special characteristics (5) Batik Ismoyo Company focus on marketing through an owned showroom in Central Jakarta Tamrin?s market, (6) The Company Batik Ismoyo gives positive impact to people around the company. Abstract

Abstract : The objective of the research is to find out (1) the condition of bamboo craft product design produced by the craftsmen in Jambukulon Village of Ceper, Klaten, Central Java (2) the attempts to improve the quality of bamboo craft product design of Jambukulon Village of Ceper, Klaten, Central Java. (3) design development in bamboo craft product design in Jambukulon Village of Ceper, Klaten, Central Java and (4) the manifestation of product resulting from the bamboo craft design development in Jambukulon Village of Ceper, Klaten, Central Java. The type of the research used was a single embedded case study. The data sources are documents, archives, informants, places and events. The data is collected using: in-depth interview, observation, archive document, and focus group discussion. The data validation test is done using triangulation and review informant. The technique of data analysis used was an interactive model. The condition of design produced by the bamboo craf craftsmen in Jambukulon was mebeler product from bamboo stem and animal shaped sculpture souvenir from bamboo hump. The design applied is still consistent with the customer order, only few is their own design, it was because there had not been skill and ability to make design innovation, The attempts to improve the quality of product design included: to change the shape, increase the shape variation, improve the finishing, production techniques, product function responding to the market demand. In addition, design discussion and consulting the design expert, seeing internet reference, newspaper, television, surrounding nature were the other ways to improve the quality of product design, The development of design in bamboo craft product in Jambukulon is done by improving product diversification, by which the development process is conducted through developing several alternative sketches and selecting the design sketch considered as answering the market demand and making it into finished product. The design development is conducted using functional product and souvenir made of bamboo and hump of bamboo.   Keywords: bamboo craft, design development, market, souvenir

Abstract

Abstract : This research is aimed to develop student? creativity in drawing batik motive by using discovery-inquiry method in class VIII A of SMPN 2 Simo Boyolali. Depend on research result in general, the learning of batik motive drawing can not develop student? creativity in drawing, because the method used by the teacher is convensinal and can not emerge student? imagination. So that, it is expected the existance of learning method which can develop student? creativity and they can emerge the new and original ideas in drawing batik motive. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of research is to improve the design creativity of the XI Textile Work Graders of SMK N 9 Surakarta in the odd semester of 2011/2012 school year using lateral thinking method. This study was a classroom action research that applied lateral thinking learning method in sifting casting subject. The subject of research was the XI Textile Work Graders of SMK N 9 Surakarta in the odd semester of 2011/2012 and Mr. Joko Agus P as the teacher of sifting casting subject in SMK N 9 Surakarta. This research was conducted from August to October 2011, through two cycles and each cycle encompassed four activities: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data was collected using interview, documentation and observation for the improvement of creativity in psychomotor aspect in practical test form. Understanding the lateral thinking method in screen printing design learning is one attempt to enrich the thinking method understanding in screen printing design learning. To understand this, there should be a discussion about design, and then the discussion about design learning, and creativity as the focus of learning. Thereafter, there should be a discussion of lateral thinking in creativity development and its application in the process of screen printing design making learning.
