Abstract

Early childhood education (ECE) serves as the cornerstone of a child’s holistic development, encompassing cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. This qualitative study investigates the potential of ECE as a golden foundation for future development, emphasizing its role in character building, skill development, and the integration of innovative teaching methods. Using a phenomenological approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions with 12 participants, including educators, parents, and policymakers with significant experience in early childhood education. Findings reveal that play-based and inquiry-driven learning methods effectively foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while character-focused activities nurture empathy, communication, and self-regulation. Collaboration between teachers and parents emerges as a pivotal factor in creating a unified and supportive learning environment. Additionally, the study highlights the balanced use of technology in ECE, identifying it as a tool for enhancing creativity and engagement when implemented ethically and responsibly. This research addresses gaps in existing literature by providing a comprehensive understanding of ECE’s multidimensional impact and offering actionable insights into the integration of technology, parental collaboration, and character education. The findings underscore ECE's critical role in equipping children with the skills and resilience necessary to navigate a dynamic and interconnected world.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of multilingualism on learning achievements across various education types in Myanmar. Qualitative research methodology was used in the study and involved conducting semi structured interviews, focus group discussions and classroom observations to capture the experiences, the challenges and perception of students, teachers, parents and educational administrators. In all, 50 purposively selected participants from multilingual communities responded to questions about the enablers and barriers to education arising from linguistic diversity. Consequently, it is noted that however, multilingualism benefits students through increased participation, cultural sense, and improved learning abilities, the major problems arising are language accord, qualified teachers, and limited teaching materials. Despite the best efforts from the teachers to apply meaningful translanguaging approaches for learning, they encounter several problems while doing so without organization backing. Thus, while students and teachers preferred instruction in first languages, parents and administrators had conflicts of interest between local language education and instruction n national languages. This research also fills the research gaps by presenting paradigmatic data from a developing country with high multilingual population. There is, therefore, a call for inclusive and adequate and sufficient policies, resources and training of teachers in order to maximize on the gains of multilingual education as well as to overcome setbacks. The study extends the global understanding of multilingual education as a development policy by shedding light on the challenges of implementing the policy in low resource districts.

Abstract

The present research investigates the effectiveness of technology utilization within the context of educational quality enhancement for students, with respect to students’ motivation, achievement, and perceived educational outcomes. This developed a quantitative research design with respect to 500 students and 50 teachers from the primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions. Information was obtained using technology use questionnaires, students’ performance reports, and teachers’ feedback forms. The study showed that the more technology intensive a class or lesson is there is a high likelihood of having students’ participation and high academic achievement. Students who interactively used technologies today including learning management systems, interactive whiteboards, etc. found out they had better academic performance and motivation. Controlling for teacher efficacy and methods in the use of technology was also found greatly to affect students’ achievement. The quantitative data were analysed using descriptive and inferential measures such as the Pearson correlation and regression test to show how technology can enhance learning environment. These findings, therefore, join the emerging literature on technological integration and found positive impacts on various levels of education. This research underlines the importance of further professionalism as to teachers, and the use of proper technological means for improving the quality of education.

This study adopted a quantitative method; 150 teachers from different schools in Makassar City were administrated questionnaires, and regression analysis was used to test the level of teacher motivation and classroom dynamics. The findings show that type of motivation plays a huge role in the classroom, with self-interest having the greatest impact on student attentiveness. It also shows that job satisfaction is reducing rate of poor classroom behavior and enhancing teacher-student communication, while professional development enhances teacher student relationship. The results of extrinsic motivation were also noticeable but lower than intrinsic motivation. The research findings offer an important contribution to future research in the field, as they offered an overall picture of teacher motives and their implications for different aspects of classroom dynamics. The study has focused on the need for education policies that encourage the growth of intrinsic motivation through organisational work culture and staff due process. This shows that by addressing motivation at this level schools are likely to create teacher incentive of the positive environment that is most likely to enhance the learning process of the students. The study has practical implications to upgrading the educational practices; it is recommended that increasing the level of teacher motivation leads to development of better classroom climate, therefore promoting a better education.

Abstract

The qualitative research question of this study is to analyse the management of schools in supporting arts education, including the administrative practices, resource dimensions, and leadership factors that may enhance the implement of arts education. The study was therefore intended to improve the understanding of how and to what extent school management impacts on the implementation of arts in learning and school climate. Various forms of data were collected: interviews with 31 school principals and arts teachers, administrative staff, focus group interviews with 115 students and 12 parents, and document analysis of school policies, schedules and documents that concern arts education. The study shows that schools, which have clear and strong arts education polices, are in a better place to sustain quality arts instruction. Further, the schools which have separate funds and budgets for the arts and those in which the principals and head teachers positively perceive the worth and importance of the arts usually have more effective and viable learning programs. This research fills the existing literature voids by focusing on the central issue of leadership for appreciable arts climate in schools as well as harmonisation of academic and arts pursuits. The study offers insights to educators and policymakers involved in the provision and development of arts education hence providing tangible suggestions on policy advancements as well as resource and leadership matters. Thus, the present research expands the discussion of how schools may include arts education successfully to become a part of curriculum as one of the foundational elements of learning experiences.
