Abstract

This study aims to understand and describe the Optimization of the Social Affairs Office's Role in Empowering Street Children in Samarinda City. This research focuses on the government's efforts, specifically the Social Affairs and Community Empowerment Agency of Samarinda City, in addressing issues faced by Individuals with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS), particularly street children, through policy programs outlined in the Samarinda City Social Affairs Office's Key Performance Indicators for the years 2022-2026. It also focuses on the factors hindering the efforts of the Samarinda City Social Affairs Office in addressing the number of street children. The data collection technique used is purposive sampling. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the role of the Social Affairs and Community Empowerment Office in addressing the issue of street children in Samarinda City has been carried out to the best of their abilities in accordance with Samarinda City Regional Regulation No. 07 of 2017 concerning Guidance for Beggars, Street Children, and Homeless People. Efforts include preventive coaching, continued coaching, social rehabilitation as a form of protection, and providing assistance. However, there are inhibiting factors experienced by the office in addressing the issue of active street children, particularly the difficulty in controlling them and prohibiting their activities on the streets.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Samarinda City, Samarinda Regency, East Kalimantan, the purpose of this study is to find out how the perception of the people of samarinda on the presidential thresold for presidential candidacy in the general election in Indonesia, as well as to find out what factors influence the perception of the people of Samarinda. This research is descriptive qualitative using the miles and huberman model by reducing data, presenting data and conclusions. In this study, the authors used observation, interview and documentation methods. Based on the results of research on the perception of the people in Samarinda on presidential thresold candidacy in general election in Indonesia, people has diverse views, but in general people’s view can be grouped into two groups. Community groups that support the requirement and community groups that reject the thresold requirement. Then related to factors that influence people’s perception of the thresold for presidential candidacy, researchers found three factors. First, the important factor. Second, the experience factor. Third, the expectation factor.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe the E-KTP making service for people with disabilities at the District Population and Civil Registration Service Office Kutai Kartanegara. The focus of this research is divided into two, namely discussing the quality of E-KTP making services and discussing inhibiting factors in E-KTP making services for people with disabilities. The research method used is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The research results show that the E-KTP making service for people with disabilities at the District Population and Civil Registration Service Office. Kutai Kartanegara has met almost all indicators of quality public services, starting from 1) Proficiency Indicators are seen from SOP-based services and competent employees, 2) Responsiveness Indicators are seen from the ability of officers to provide solutions to questions and needs of people with disabilities, 3) Guarantee Indicators are seen from the certainty of free service costs and certainty of legality as outlined in SOP, 4) Empathy indicators seen from officers who are initiative and respectful towards people with disabilities, and and 5) Direct Evidence Indicators look at the availability of mobile population administration services, special stairs, wheelchairs and communication aids for people with disabilities. Then, public services at the District Population and Civil Registration Office. Kutai Kartanegara still experiences several obstacles in providing E-KTP services, namely 1) Unstable network, 2) Difficult access to residents' homes, and 3) Residents' habit of visiting officers' homes personally to request services.

Abstract

The results of this research show that the implementation of government communication in managing and disseminating public information through websites by the Samarinda City Diskominfo based on Lasswell's Communication theory has been implemented well as an informative medium. There are several actors starting from the Head of Service, Secretary, Head of Division, and staff who provide public information such as agendas, government news, public documents, and others by paying attention to the characteristics of information quality, namely accurate, timely, relevant, and complete. The strategy implemented by Diskominfo Samarinda City in disseminating public information applies the four stages of e-government development, namely web presence, interaction, transactions and transformation. The existence of transformation with other public bodies helps the community to get a response from the feedback provided such as aspirations, complaints and requests for public information which aims to create better communication between the government and the community. However, feedback via the Samarinda City Diskominfo website helpdesk still needs to be maximized because there is no response from the admin who manages it. Apart from that, it is necessary to add a download menu to make it easier to search for public documents in the process of interaction by the public.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and identify potentials and analyze This research aims to find out and identify potential and analyze development prospects in Bumi Harapan Village after the establishment of the Archipelago Capital City (IKN). The main focus of research is on economic aspects, basic needs, infrastructure, and peaceful, just villages. This research also examines development challenges and strategies that can be implemented. The data collection method uses purposive sampling, which allows collecting relevant data from respondents selected based on certain criteria. The research results show that the prospects for economic development in Bumi Harapan Village are quite significant with the increase in investment and job opportunities arising from the establishment of IKN. Improvements in infrastructure, including transportation and communications, also show positive developments that can improve the quality of life of residents. Apart from that, efforts to create peaceful, just villages are starting to be implemented through various programs that support equality and social justice. However, this research also identified a major challenge in the form of lack of accessibility to basic needs such as clean water. Despite developing infrastructure and the economy, access to clean water is still a significant problem for local residents. This research recommends the development of a more efficient water distribution system and the construction of adequate water storage facilities.
