Abstract

The application of multimedia as information media has now expanded its use even to KPU information issues. The development of information technology, especially multimedia technology using android-based tools, can help the younger generation or the community in general in obtaining information on the East Lombok Regency General Election Commission in the existing KPU books, the younger generation or the community in general still feel some obstacles or problems such as how to find out East Lombok KPU information such as how to vote correctly, the history of the East Lombok KPU, KPU RI, temporary voter data (DPT). The purpose of this research is to create an Android-based General Election Commission (KPU) Information Media. It can be used to access East Lombok Regency election information and reduce election fraud. In this thesis, the author provides an alternative solution to the existing problems. These, namely several East Lombok KPU information media applications, can provide an overview or explanation in the form of text, images and videos. According to Luther Sutopo, the design and manufacture of the East Lombok KPU information media application based on Android use the multimedia development method, which consists of six stages: conceptualizing, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. The result or output of the application that the author designed is a packaged Android application.

Abstract

The Decision Support System (DSS) is a computer-based information system that generates various alternative decisions to assist in addressing structured and unstructured problems. At STMIK Syaikh Zainuddin NW Anjani, the selection of study programs is still done manually, where prospective students are directly asked to choose which study program they wish to enter without any data processing based on their abilities and skills first. This approach can have negative consequences, as once they begin their studies in the chosen program, they may struggle to keep up due to misalignment with their skills, interests, and abilities, leading many to regret their choice and even decide to switch programs or transfer to another university; some may even attend less frequently. Therefore, there is a need for a system/application that can provide recommendations for study programs that align with their talents, interests, and capabilities. The Decision Support System for Selecting Study Programs for New Students at STMIK Syaikh Zainuddin NW Anjani uses the Profile Matching Method and the Prototype Method for software development, which begins with requirements gathering, prototype design, prototype evaluation, system coding, system testing, system evaluation, and system implementation. This decision support system calculates the exam scores taken by new students and successfully provides suitable recommendations based on their exam results. This application can also directly print the results of the calculations and recommendations for study programs for new students; they can also directly print the results of their tests.

Abstract

Sembalun Village, as one of the villages that already has infrastructure in the tourism sector, hopes to take advantage of developments in information technology for use in tourism services in the village. Sembalun Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency has many tourist attractions, one of which is the 7 Summit Sembalun. According to ticket sales data for 2022, it is known that public interest is increasing over time, so an application is needed to manage ticket sales. E-ticket applications can help in this business sector by reducing transaction times faster, summarizing documents easily, providing detailed information, and minimizing errors when inputting data. The current ticket sales system for the 7 Summit Sembalun still uses the old or manual method as with conventional ticket sales. The method used in this research is the waterfall method. The waterfall method is a methodology for designing and building software systems; namely, the design process gradually flows downwards (similar to a waterfall). Based on the discussion explained in the previous chapters, through unit testing, it can be concluded that the "E-Ticket 7 Summit Sembalun Application Based on Android" can be concluded. This application makes it easy for users to book tickets without fear of running out of tickets. With this application, 7 Summit Sembalun climbers can now buy tickets without having to queue at the counter. With this application, the management of 7 Summit Sembalun can cut transaction times faster, summarize documents easily, provide detailed information, and minimize errors when inputting data.

Abstract

The communication system for the deaf is non-verbal (non-verbal) communication using gestures, either with hand gestures or body gestures and facial expressions. Deafness can be interpreted as a state of hearing loss. Deaf children are children who experience hearing deficiencies so that they require special services. Deaf children have difficulty in observing sounds through their hearing, therefore they must capture sounds or voices or expressions of someone through their sight. In this study, the author examines and analyzes the problem of language learning media through reading speech for the deaf based on Android. The purpose of writing is as an aid or alternative media to be able to learn how to read the opponent's lip movements in the communication process. This application uses the research and development (R&D) method and in designing this learning media application, it uses the ADDIE Model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of this study are that the application of language learning media through reading speech for the deaf based on Android that has been created can help the learning process, especially between teachers and deaf students in learning at SLB Muhammadiyah Kelayu

Abstract

Security is a crucial aspect for everyone. Homes that are frequently left unattended by their owners can become targets for thieves to carry out their actions. Therefore, an effective home security system is needed to enable homeowners to receive information if their house is broken into by a thief. The author has developed a home security system utilizing technology with an Infrared sensor and GSM module as an SMS alert information system, where all components are processed in an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The research methodology used includes several stages: data collection (literature review, observation, and experimentation) and software development using the prototype method (communication, quick planning, quick design modeling, prototype construction, deployment delivery, and feedback). The home security system works by using sensors placed at entry points, such as doors. This system automatically sends an SMS to the homeowner's mobile phone, regardless of their location.
