Abstract

Background: Labor is the process of delivering the fetus that occurs during a full-term pregnancy (37–42 weeks), with spontaneous birth in a cephalic (head-first) presentation, typically lasting within 18 hours and without complications for either the mother or baby. Labor can cause trauma for the mother due to the pain experienced. Some mothers may even develop psychological trauma, making them afraid to become pregnant and give birth again due to fear of experiencing the same pain. Therefore, reducing labor pain can help mothers go through the delivery process more comfortably. Objective: The purpose of this study is to gain deeper understanding and knowledge about the effectiveness of warm compress therapy and effleurage massage in reducing labor pain during the active phase of the first stage of labor. Method:This research is a quasi-experimental study using a design in which subjects in the experimental and control groups are not randomly selected. The approach used is a one-group post-test-only design. Results: The Wilcoxon test results showed a Z count of -5.069 and a Z table value of 1.69 at a 5% significance level. Since Z count > Z table and the p-value was 0.000 (p < 0.05), it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This indicates that there is a significant effect of warm compress and effleurage massage on reducing labor pain during the active phase of the first stage of labor. Conclusion: The application of warm compress therapy and effleurage massage can reduce labor pain during the active phase of the first stage of labor.

Abstract

Background: The Family Planning Program (KB) is carried out in order to regulate the amount of intravenous oxytocin, which is a continuation of the induction of foley catheters and misoprostol. The induction of oxytocin stimulation and foley catheter is to open or soften the cervix. While the purpose of giving oxytocin is augmentation/stimulation, namely to stimulate contraction. Oxytocin is administered by mixing 2.5-5 units of oxytocin in 500 ml of crystalloid solution. Intravenous oxytocin begins with 8 drops per minute and is added 4 drops every 30 minutes with a maximum dose of 20 drops per minute. Objective: To determine the effect of oxytocin stimulation induction on the success of vaginal delivery in post-term pregnant women at the Samuel Maternity Clinic in 2020. Method: This type of research is analytic observational, which is research that tries to explore how and why health phenomena occur, then analyzes the dynamics of the correlation between the phenomenon of risk factors (influence) and effect factors (effects), thus this research is limited to observing not doing any manipulation or intervention. Conclusion: From the research results, there was a significant relationship between the type of induction and the type of delivery (p-value 0.071). The type of induction had a 1.73 times greater chance of experiencing vaginal delivery (95% CI 0.95-3.14). The parity factor showed a significant relationship with the type of delivery (p-value 0.015). Parity 1 had a 2.10 times greater risk of experiencing a CS labor than parity> 1 (95% CI 1.16-3.80). The results of the multivariate analysis showed that the parity factor had a greater effect than the oxytocin stimulation induction factor on the success of vaginal delivery.

Abstract

Background: Based on data from the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, there are 30.8% of children under five in Indonesia experiencing stunting or as many as 1 in 3 babies under 2 years or around 9 million children suffering from stunting. This prevalence decreased by 6.4% from 2013 (37.2%). The data for 2021 (24.4%) and 2019 (27.7%) even though it decreased but did not significantly achieve the SDGs target. There are 16% of Indonesian toddlers experiencing developmental disorders, both fine and gross motor development, hearing loss, less intelligence and developmental delays . Objective:. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the Mother Cares (MOCA) application on parental compliance in stimulating the growth and development of children aged 18-24 months. Methods: The research design is quantitative with an analytical approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test design. The population in this study were parents who had children aged 18-24 months. Result: The median value of knowledge is 84.0 and 84.2 on skills after being given the intervention while the median value in the control group is 72.0 on knowledge and 73.7 on skills. The increase in knowledge was 8.0 in the intervention group and 4.0 in the control group and there was the same increase in skills in both groups, namely 21.05. The median value of the intervention group was 89.0 on gross motor, 118.0 on fine motor, 97.0 on speech and language and 139.0 on independence and socialization while the control group did not meet the criteria for compliance with a median value of 15.0 on fine motor. , 16.0 on gross motor, 15.0 on speech and language and 15.0 on independence and socialization, with a Relative Risk value of 2.2 Conclusion: There is a role for the application of Mother Cares (MOCA) to increase parental compliance in stimulating children's growth and development with an increase in compliance of 2.2 times in the intervention group compared to the control group. Keywords: Mother Cares (MOCA) Application, Compliance, Stimulation of Child Development.

Abstract

Background: An important factor in the success of elderly posyandu (integrated health service posts) is family support and the role of health cadres. Family support can encourage the interest and motivation of the elderly to regularly visit the posyandu by facilitating or accompanying them to the posyandu, reminding them of the schedule, and helping overcome barriers to participation. The role of health cadres is also crucial, as they are the main drivers in achieving the goals of the elderly posyandu program. Objective: To determine the relationship between the role of health cadres and the frequency of elderly visits to the posyandu in the working area of Karang Mekar Health Center, Banjarmasin. Method: This was an analytical study using a cross-sectional approach. The population included all elderly individuals in the Karang Mekar Health Center working area. A total sampling technique was used, involving 47 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The study found that the highest number of respondents perceived the role of cadres as good (28 people or 59.6%), while the highest frequency of elderly visits to the posyandu was categorized as inactive (30 people or 63.8%). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the role of health cadres and the frequency of elderly visits to the posyandu in the working area of Karang Mekar Health Center, Banjarmasin. Keywords: Role of Health Cadres, Visit Frequency, Elderly
