Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, pergeseran demografi, fluktuasi ekonomi, dan kondisi dinamis menyebabkan lingkungan bisnis menjadi penuh ketidakpastian, semakin kompleks, dan cepat berubah. Menghadapi kondisi tersebut, setiap organisasi dituntut untuk segera berubah atau melaksanakan transformasi dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan yang makin kompetitif melalui reengineering. Reengineering adalah pemikiran ulang fundamental dan perancangan ulang yang radikal terhadap proses-proses bisnis organisasi yang membawa organisasi mencapai peningkatan dramatis dalam kinerja bisnis. Proses transformasi dilakukan melalui pelaksanaan transformasi organisasi dan transformasi sumber daya manusia. Transformasi organisasi dilaksanakan agar organisasi menjadi fleksibel, kreatif, dan efisien. Sedangkan transformasi fungsi SDM dimaksudkan agar menghasilkan SDM yang memiliki kapabilitas untuk turut berpartisipasi dalam proses perubahan organisasi.

Abstract

People who have an average academic level but have a high level of Emotional Quotient (EQ) will be more successful in working compared with those who have a high academic record and a high Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and who is a graduate from a favourite university but who have a low Emotional Quotient (EQ). Therefore one tends to be more successful because of one’s high Emotional Inteligence (EI) rather than one’s intellectual intelligence. Emotional Intelegence is often measured as Emotional Quotient (EQ). Several experts state that IQ gets you hired and EQ gets you promoted. The basic of emotional capability is self awareness, that is knowing about one’s own capability and limit including a deep understanding of factors and situation which can excite emotion in oneself.

Abstract

Teamwork banyak didefinisikan sebagai sebuah proses yang saling bersinergi, di mana aktivitas-aktivitas yang dilakukan di dalamnya lebih merupakan upaya kerja sama anggota grup dibandingkan upaya individual.Artikel ini membahas mengenai karakteristik dan dinamika yang dapat diciptakan dalam sebuah tim agar efektif dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi interaksi interpersonal dalam tim. Artikel ini membahas pula beberapa faktor kunci efektifnya sebuah teamwork dan mengemukakan 6 faktor penghambat efektivitasnya (structure, ineffective communications, lack of resources, lack of trust, corporate cultures, dan inappropriate use of the team approach) serta upaya-upaya yang dapat ditempuh untuk meningkatkan efektivitas teamwork. Teambuilding merupakan salah satu bentuk intervensi manajemen guna menghasilkan teamwork yang mampu bekerja efektif. Aktivitas teambuilding diberikan kepada setiap anggota dan/atau calon anggota melalui aktivitas (1) new group formation and improved relationships; (2) problems in group dynamics; (3) barriers to goal attainment; dan (4) resolution of goals and game plan; dengan strategi yang berbeda-beda sesuai kebutuhan.

Abstract

University-industry collaboration (UIC) has become an essential element of the research endeavours both in academic institutions and industrial sectors. UIC contribute significant resources not only financial resources but also intellectual resources to scientist and firms related. By managing UIC, we expected to invest the development of university research and business research capabilities on current research strength, and to link the research strength to the solution of industry problem which lead to the improvement of business performance and finally will effect the improvement of economic growth. These relationships also play an important role in bringing beneficial and innovative product to the public. This paper discussed what UIC is, the important of UIC in knowledge economy era, UIC characteristics from university and industry perspective, the mechanism of knowledge transfer through UIC and some example of the implementation of UIC in Indonesia.

Abstract

The organizational culture is one of indicators indicates to increase the corporate comparative advantage. The organization’s succes depends on the increasing of performance, in other side the failure of organization comes from the decreasing in performance. The purpose of this research is to explore the concept of the organizational culture and its role in achieving organizational success. The type of research used was library research. The organizational culture consist three levels, such as artifact, espoused values, and basic assumption. Organizational culture has to differentiate between strong and weak culture. Strong cultures have a greater impact on employee behaviors and are more directly related to reduce turnover.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to investigate the used of diversification across time model on investor’s stocks ownership by compared the average return of theoritical stock price and the average return of actual stock price. This research used the different holding periods to show how effective the long of each holding period of the investor to have the stocks by their own. It also investigate how speed the changes of theoritical stock price range and the actual stock price range, and the differences between that two range. The result shows that the average return of theoritical stock price is wider than the average return of actual stock price. And the theoritical stock price range is changing faster than the actual stock price range. The differences of the theoritical and actual stock price range are happened on weekly, 4th weekly and 8th weekly holding period. While at 12th weekly holding period, it found there is no differences between that two range.

Abstract

Management Information System (MIS) in organization very important, to distribute information from one division to the other’s. Inside MIS we can find other subsystem which delivered and distributed organization financial information, that called Financial Information System (FIS). FIS made for the efficiency and effective financial report and give the decription of organization condition and position in financial. FIS can be integrated in all system of organization and it can be design with or without Decision Support System (DSS). FIS with DSS can helping the user’s speciality for top management as the decision maker, such as Manager or Director.
