Abstract

This research investigates the impact of modern educational management practices on school transformation in Pakistan. It explores how leadership and management practices in schools influence educational outcomes, particularly in the context of Pakistan's socio-political and cultural environment. The study identifies key practices such as transformational leadership, distributed leadership, and effective resource management as vital for driving positive change within schools. Additionally, it examines the challenges faced by school leaders in Pakistan, including resistance to change, lack of professional development opportunities, and socio-cultural factors that hinder the implementation of modern management practices. The research further discusses how school leadership can balance institutional goals with the individual needs of students and staff, ensuring a holistic approach to educational reform. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and interviews with school leaders, the study highlights the importance of context-sensitive leadership and offers recommendations for overcoming the challenges in implementing modern management practices. The findings contribute to the broader understanding of how educational leadership can shape the future of schools in Pakistan, fostering a more dynamic and responsive education system.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of leadership in shaping the social dynamics within Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) communities in Indonesia. The central purpose of this study is to understand how leadership structures and practices influence the social cohesion, authority relations, and educational environment in these traditional institutions. Using a library research methodology, the study analyzes various scholarly articles, books, and previous studies related to the leadership in Pesantren, as well as sociological theories on power, authority, and community development. The findings indicate that leadership in Pesantren plays a crucial role in fostering social unity, maintaining discipline, and mediating conflicts. The head of the Pesantren (Kyai) often serves as a central figure whose authority shapes the values, norms, and social behaviors of students and staff. Furthermore, the study highlights the intersection of traditional and modern leadership styles within Pesantren, revealing both challenges and opportunities for transformation in the face of social change. The implications of this research suggest that a more nuanced understanding of leadership in Pesantren can contribute to enhancing social integration, improving educational outcomes, and addressing the needs of modern Muslim communities within Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation, challenges, and solutions in applying the Kurikulum Merdeka through the P5 program in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The research was conducted at SMP Tahfidz Assyifa Al Islami Parung using a qualitative approach and field research methodology. Data collection techniques included interviews, documentation, and observation, with data validity tested through triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis involved data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka through the P5 program in PAI learning began in the fourth week of July in the 2024 academic year, focusing on entrepreneurship for seventh-grade students and democracy for eighth-grade students. However, challenges were identified, including limited teacher understanding and training regarding the P5 program, insufficient supervision from project coordinators, and inadequate module support, as the materials were primarily downloaded from the internet.

Abstract

Cavendish banana (Musa acuminata L.) propagation through conventional methods requires a considerable amount of time. Tissue culture techniques offer a more efficient alternative, enabling the production of plantlets with superior quality and quantity in a shorter period. The application of Zn nanoparticles has been shown to reduce media contamination and act as a biostimulant, enhancing propagation efficiency in tissue culture. Auxins, such as Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA), facilitate cell development and root induction, while cytokinins, including 6-Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP), are effective in stimulating cell division, morphogenesis, and shoot formation with improved stability and resistance to oxidation. This study was conducted from February to June 2023 at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jawa Timur. The research utilized a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: the concentration of Zn nanoparticles and the ratio of ZPT concentrations. The results indicated that the best treatment for multiplication was obtained with 50 ppm Zn nanoparticles, resulting in the fastest shoot emergence at 24,63 days and the highest number of shoots per plantlet at 2,58 shoots. Furthermore, the treatment with a ZPT concentration ratio of NAA + BAP (0:0) produced the highest average number of plantlet leaves, with 5,78 leaves per plantlet.

Abstract

This research explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on personalized learning in educational settings. As traditional teaching methods struggle to cater to the diverse needs of students, AI offers innovative solutions that can tailor educational experiences to individual learning styles, preferences, and paces. This study investigates the various applications of AI technologies, including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and data-driven insights, to enhance personalized learning outcomes. By employing a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative analysis of academic performance metrics with qualitative feedback from students and educators, the research aims to assess the effectiveness of AI-driven personalized learning initiatives. The findings reveal that AI not only improves student engagement and motivation but also facilitates differentiated instruction that addresses learning gaps and strengths. Additionally, the study identifies challenges such as data privacy concerns and the need for professional development for educators to effectively integrate AI solutions into their teaching practices. Ultimately, this research contributes to the ongoing discourse on the role of AI in education, offering actionable recommendations for educators and policymakers to optimize personalized learning experiences for all students.
