Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the role of the social state in enhancing civic responsibility within the framework of social state theory. It highlights how the state safeguards citizens’ rights while fostering moral, spiritual, and social obligations necessary for active civic engagement Methodology/approach: A qualitative descriptive approach is applied through document analysis of scholarly literature, legislative frameworks, and policy reports. Comparative analysis is used to explore how different social state models contribute to strengthening civic responsibility. Results/findings: The findings show that a social state significantly promotes civic responsibility by ensuring social protection, equal educational opportunities, family upbringing support, and avenues for political engagement. It establishes reciprocal obligations between state and citizens, fostering social stability and shared ethical values. Conclutions: The social state is not limited to enforcing legal compliance but plays a key role in cultivating civic awareness and encouraging participation in societal development. Its effective implementation enhances civil society, protects fundamental rights, and supports collective responsibility. Limitations: This study is theoretical, lacking empirical validation through field research or case studies, which may limit its generalizability. Contribution: This article enriches political and social theory by clarifying the functional importance of the social state in advancing civic responsibility and offering conceptual insights for policy development in modern governance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of social assistance distribution in Otomona Village, Mimika Regency, focusing on value accuracy, target accuracy, and timeliness. The research seeks to identify strengths and weaknesses of the program and provide recommendations for improvement. Research/methodology: The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using purposive sampling of 30 respondents who were recipients of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT). Data were collected through structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of official records. The analysis emphasized transparency, distribution mechanisms, and recipients’ perspectives. Results: Findings reveal that value accuracy has been achieved, as all respondents consistently received Rp 200,000 per month without deductions or administrative fees. However, challenges remain in targeting and timeliness. About 80% of respondents had incomes below the regional minimum wage, confirming appropriate targeting, yet variations in housing conditions highlight inconsistencies in eligibility criteria. Additionally, 44% of respondents reported delays in receiving assistance, showing weaknesses in timeliness. Conclusions: The distribution of social assistance in Otomona Village has been effective in terms of value accuracy but requires improvement in targeting and timeliness to ensure fairness and consistency. Enhancing coordination, updating beneficiary data, and leveraging technology are key strategies to increase program effectiveness. Limitations: The study was limited to 30 respondents in one village, which restricts generalizability. Broader and comparative studies are needed to capture diverse regional contexts. Contribution: This research provides empirical evidence on the performance of social assistance programs at the village level and offers practical recommendations to strengthen policy implementation and improve social welfare outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the theoretical model of psychological readiness for professional activity and identify effective methods for its formation among university students, particularly those studying psychology. The research emphasizes the integration of cognitive, emotional, and motivational components to prepare students for future professional roles. Research Methodology: A mixed-method approach was used, combining theoretical modeling and empirical analysis. Diagnostic tools were applied to assess students’ psychological readiness, while experimental training sessions were implemented to test the proposed formation method. The model was evaluated through structured observation, self-assessment questionnaires, and competence-based analysis. Results: Findings demonstrate that the formation of psychological readiness is significantly influenced by self-process activation, reflective thinking, and competence integration. The developed method enhanced students’ self-awareness, professional motivation, and ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical contexts. The study confirmed that readiness for professional activity can be intentionally cultivated through targeted educational interventions. Conclusions: The research validates that psychological readiness is a dynamic construct comprising self-regulation, motivation, and practical competence. The competence-based and self-activation approaches provide an effective framework for professional preparation. Limitations: The study was limited to psychology students within a single university context, and longitudinal effects were not examined. Broader application across disciplines requires further study. Contribution: This study contributes to educational psychology by presenting an empirically tested model and a method for developing psychological readiness aligned with modern competence-based education principles.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to identify and systematize methods for analyzing religious allusions in the works of foreign authors within secondary-school literature classes. It also seeks to determine the pedagogical and linguistic-cultural significance of such allusions in shaping students’ cultural literacy and interpretive competence. Research methodology: The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach supported by comparative textual analysis. It examines selected foreign literary works containing religious references and evaluates current teaching practices. Data were collected through lesson observations, textbook analysis, and teacher interviews to reveal how religious allusions are presented and interpreted in the classroom context. Results: Findings indicate that while teachers recognize the importance of religious allusions for cultural understanding, systematic methods for their analysis remain underdeveloped. The study identifies key methodological strategies, including contextual interpretation, intertextual comparison, and integration with historical-cultural background teaching. Conclusions: The article emphasizes the need for a structured pedagogical framework that enables teachers to guide students in recognizing and interpreting religious allusions effectively. Systematic inclusion of religious content analysis can enhance both linguistic competence and cultural awareness, thereby improving the overall quality of literature education. Limitations: The study focuses on secondary-school settings and a limited range of literary texts, which may restrict broader generalization. Contribution: This research contributes practical recommendations for educators and enriches the methodological foundation for integrating cultural and linguistic dimensions in literature teaching.
