Abstract

This research seeks to assess how ESG reporting, the size of a company, and debt levels affect its overall value in companies within the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The approach taken in this study is targeted sampling, which produced 150 observations from 50 companies during the 2022–2024 period. The data analysis process was carried out using panel data regression analysis with the assistance of EViews 12 software. The findings of this study show that ESG disclosure has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value, firm size also has a negative and insignificant effect on firm value, while leverage has a positive and significant effect on firm value. It can be concluded that, in relation to the food and drink segment within Indonesia between 2022 and 2024, the management of capital structure through leverage is a more important factor in increasing firm value compared to ESG disclosure and firm size..

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of change management in the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Planning process at PT Transportasi Angkutan Darat (TAD) using the ADKAR framework. The main problems identified include insufficiently challenging KPI targets, insufficiently specific indicators, and suboptimal cascading processes. A mixed methods approach was used, combining quantitative survey data from managerial-level employees at the head office of PT TAD and in-depth interviews to gain a more comprehensive understanding. The results indicate that the Desire and Ability dimensions are in the strong category, driven by managerial motivation and established operational routines. However, the Awareness, Knowledge, and Reinforcement dimensions are at a lower level of effectiveness due to a lack of clarity regarding the reasons for KPI changes, inconsistencies in knowledge transfer during role transitions, and the absence of a structured feedback mechanism. Based on these findings, this study proposes improvement strategies through strengthening leadership-led communication, systematic integration of knowledge transfer into the managerial work cycle, and institutionalization of performance feedback into evaluation routines. Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of change management literature by demonstrating the application of ADKAR in diagnosing performance management system challenges in the context of a large transportation services company in the railway sector. Practically, the research results provide guidance for strengthening the KPI Planning process to make it more consistent, measurable, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

Abstract

Women are valuable assets in the community, and their empowerment can improve welfare through activities that enhance their economic, social, and cultural roles. One such empowerment initiative is the tapis craft center in Tarahan Village, where women are trained in sewing and processing tapis, fostering their independence. This research focuses on how utilizing local potential through the tapis craft center empowers women. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study gathered data through observation, interviews, and documentation from 11 informants selected via purposive sampling. The findings indicate that the tapis craft center effectively supports women's independence by enhancing their skills and capacities. The empowerment process occurs in three stages: awareness, training, and mentoring. Awareness is raised through education about the economic and social benefits, as well as employment opportunities. In the training stage, women learn tapis making, embroidery, and marketing skills. Mentoring involves guidance from business owners, studio administrators, members, and the village head to supervise production activities. This empowerment leads to economic independence by providing additional income, social independence by boosting self-confidence, and cultural independence through the preservation of the tapis tradition across generations.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the great potential for halal tourism development in Kambo Village, Palopo City, which has a wealth of natural mountains, waterfalls, clean rivers, and community gardens as tourist attractions. However, this potential has not been optimally utilized due to minimal management, the lack of directed regulations, and the lack of integration of local wisdom with halal tourism standards. This condition raises questions about how this potential can be developed effectively in accordance with sharia principles and the needs of Muslim tourists . The research problem formulation includes: (1) how the halal tourism potential in Kambo Village is reviewed from the aspects of nature, culture, and community readiness, (2) what is the role of the community and MSMEs in the halal tourism ecosystem, and (3) what are the dynamics of collaborative governance and integrative models for local economic development based on halal tourism. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach and deductive analysis. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document reviews related to regional spatial planning. The results show that Kambo has strong potential as a halal tourism area, but its development has not been maximized due to limited infrastructure, the absence of halal certification or standards, and minimal government facilitation and promotion. By strengthening regulations, increasing community capacity, and developing sharia-compliant facilities and infrastructure, Kambo has the potential to develop as a leading halal tourism destination in Palopo City

Abstract

Coastal flooding is a recurring environmental hazard in Medan Belawan, driven by sea-level rise, land subsidence, and extreme tidal conditions. This study analyses the spatial distribution of coastal inundation in July 2025 and estimates the resulting economic losses across three affected sectors: households, business units, and public facilities. Spatial inundation mapping was conducted using DEMNAS elevation data combined with Highest High Water Level (HHWL) measurements, revealing that 79.5% of the study area (2,266 ha) was inundated. Primary data were collected through proportional random sampling involving 229 respondents and business/facility units across six urban villages. The estimated total economic loss reached IDR6.05 billion per month, consisting of IDR4.75 billion from household losses, IDR291 million from business units, and IDR1.01 billion from public facilities. Household losses were dominated by asset damage and income reduction, while business units experienced operational disruptions and decreased revenue. Public facilities faced structural damage and interruptions to basic services. These findings highlight significant economic impacts associated with the spatial extent and intensity of coastal flooding in low-lying coastal neighbourhoods of Medan Belawan.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to quantify the relative importance of key service attributes driving patient choice and to formulate an evidence-based turnaround strategy. The research hypothesizes that while cost is a factor, specific segments may value continuity of care over facilities (Hypothesis 1) and that employment status significantly alters time sensitivity (Hypothesis 3). To achieve these objectives, the study employs a quantitative approach using Choice-Based Conjoint (CBC) analysis. Primary data were collected from 107 respondents, consisting of women of reproductive age or a husbands in the Bandung area. The data were analysed using Hierarchical Bayes (HB) estimation to derive individual-level part-worth utilities, followed by market simulations to predict the share of preference under various competitive scenarios. The empirical results reveal a market reality that contradicts traditional assumptions. The analysis identifies Cost of Service (38.2%) and Clinic Facilities (17.8%) as the dominant drivers of choice. Contrary to the assumption that midwifery patients prioritize personal relationships, the study finds that the "Continuity of Care" attribute is secondary to economic and infrastructural factors, leading to the rejection of Hypothesis 1. A critical discovery is the phenomenon of psychological pricing; the utility data indicates that a tariff of IDR 120,000 yields significantly higher preference than the lowest tariff of IDR 75,000, suggesting that pricing too low signals inferior quality to modern consumers. Furthermore, the study confirms that the working segment is highly sensitive to wait times, penalizing delays heavily. Behavioural segmentation analysis further reveals that "Traditionalist" patients rely on tangible physical cues, such as modern equipment, to judge clinical quality, rather than purely relational factors.

Abstract

PT XYZ is currently undergoing a major digital and operational transformation, necessitating a robust Talent Management System (TMS) capable of retaining its critical managerial talent. The company has successfully met its workforce fulfillment targets , but the sustainability of its talent pipeline remains fragile due to a significant shortfall in filling critical positions and the risk of losing high-potential talent. The fundamental problem is that PT XYZ’s TMS design lacks an integrated, formalized Strategic Talent Retention Program, creating a profound design failure where the focus is reactive (filling vacancies) rather than strategic (securing existing key talent). If this strategic design gap is not addressed promptly, it could compromise PT XYZ's ability to maintain innovation, safety, reliability, and public trust amidst its operational transformation. Therefore, this thesis aims to propose a strategic talent retention program to strengthen PT XYZ’s talent management system, ensuring continuity in critical positions and aligning human capital with long-term digital and operational transformation goals. The research employed a Sequential Exploratory Mixed-Methods Design, combining an initial quantitative analysis of the Annual Employee Survey from 234 talents with subsequent qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with senior leaders. Main findings revealed that while many practices are perceived as strong, three critical dimensions, Work–Life Balance (Mean = 3.08), Career & Development (Mean = 3.23), and Reward & Recognition (Mean = 3.24) require priority improvement to mitigate retention risks. In conclusion, the study proposes an eight-initiative Strategic Talent Retention Program, including priority programs like the Future-Ready Leadership Mobility Program and the Work–Life Integration & Wellbeing Program, thereby transforming the TMS into a proactive strategic tool for sustainable organizational resilience.

Abstract

This research addresses the strategic challenge facing Krom Bank as it transitions from a high-yield savings model to a comprehensive lifestyle banking ecosystem in Indonesia's competitive digital banking landscape. Using a quantitative research design, the study surveyed 281 respondents (100 KROM users and 181 non-KROM users) to identify consumer preferences and prioritize feature development to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. The research framework integrated UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) constructs, along with a gap analysis, spider chart analysis, and strategic scoring across 12 dimensions. All measurement constructs demonstrated acceptable-to-good reliability, with the confirming sample adequacy. This research validates Krom Bank’s strategic transition from a high-yield niche to a comprehensive lifestyle ecosystem. The primary solution identifies Transport Payment Integration as the optimal "Daily Anchor" to convert passive savers into active transactors. Concurrently, gap analysis mandates a critical secondary solution: overhauling Customer Service and Security infrastructure to close fundamental trust deficits. Synthesized via the Strategy Diamond framework, the roadmap prioritizes stabilizing trust before anchoring daily habits, ultimately evolving Krom’s economic logic from high-cost deposit dependency to a sustainable, transaction-led model.

Abstract

Pura Mangkunegaran holds a role as a cultural heritage site and one of the primary historical attractions in Surakarta, Central Java. This study examines the strategic challenges faced by the palace as a cultural heritage destination with rising visibility but struggles with strong and meaningful brand understanding. The research adopts a qualitative methodology, collecting data through unstructured in-depth interviews supported by secondary data from the internal management visitor survey. The analysis began with an internal and external assessment using the VRIO and PESTLE frameworks, followed by thematic analysis using Nvivo. This approach ensures a thorough understanding of palace’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), which is then synthesized using the TOWS matrix and thematically analyzed to identify key themes leading to the formulation of strategic recommendations using integrated marketing communications (IMC) recommendations. Key findings from the internal analysis indicate that Pura Mangkunegaran possesses several valuable resources but tend to be constrained. The external analysis reveals that the rise of the cultural tourism trend and improved efforts of combining technology show opportunities, while competition with nearby cultural destinations, inconsistent digital communications, and public perception tend to pose challenges. The proposed business strategy using IMC integrates all media mix that Pura Mangkunegaran can utilize to improve visitor experience, specifically in the digital marketing aspect. To support the IMC strategy, the implementation plan for Pura Mangkunegaran combines all initiatives for the 2026 timeline, divided into four quarters. This research contributes to the field of cultural tourism marketing by providing a practical framework that can be applied to increase visit experience and brand understanding.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in a single F&B business that attracts a high number of first-time visitors yet struggles to convert them into repeat customers. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between CRM dimensions, customer satisfaction, and customer retention and identify the CRM dimension that shows the weakest performance. A quantitative approach was applied. Data from 100 respondents were collected through a structured Likert-scale survey measuring three CRM dimensions—Customer Knowledge Management (CKM), Customer Interaction Management (CIM), and IT-CRM—along with customer satisfaction and retention. The dataset was analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate both direct and indirect effects within the proposed model. The results show that all CRM dimensions exert a significant positive influence on customer satisfaction, with CKM emerging as the strongest predictor, followed by CIM and IT-CRM. Customer satisfaction, in turn, positively affects retention intention, confirming the mediating role of satisfaction within the CRM–retention relationship. Among the CRM dimensions, IT-CRM received the lowest performance scores, indicating that digital enablement and CRM-related technology represent the weakest capability within the firm and require priority improvement. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening CRM dimensions—particularly CKM and IT-CRM—to enhance customer satisfaction and reinforce retention intentions. The study contributes empirical evidence to CRM research within small F&B contexts by demonstrating how different CRM components influence satisfaction-driven loyalty outcomes and by highlighting the specific capability gaps that hinder the firm’s ability to retain customers effectively.
