Abstract

This research is based on the lack of awareness of students in PAI learning. Students are less active and less enthusiastic in participating in learning because the learning strategies carried out by PAI teachers are still monotonous. Several types of active learning strategies have been carried out by PAI teachers, but they still do not involve active students, so students are less enthusiastic and learning is less interesting for students. This research aims to find out the types of active learning learning strategies, the steps for implementing active learning learning strategies, and to find out the advantages and disadvantages of active learning learning strategies in PAI subjects in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The data sources are school principals, PAI teachers, and students. Data collection was obtained using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Some sixth-grade students still do not participate in the congregational Dzuhur prayer. When the teacher encourages them to join the prayer, these students ignore the instruction—some go to the school canteen, while others leave the school premises. This study aims to describe the implementation of congregational Dzuhur prayer activities as a means of instilling religious character in elementary school students. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants are Islamic Religious Education teachers and the school principal, selected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative analysis procedures, which consist of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. To ensure data validity, the study uses source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that congregational Dzuhur prayer activities have a significant impact on shaping students’ spiritual character. Students require not only broad knowledge and insight but also a deeply rooted religious and spiritual foundation. These prayer activities contribute meaningfully to the development of that foundation.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) faces several challenges, particularly in planning, execution, and evaluation. These issues are evident in the teaching process, where components such as the ATP/Syllabus and Teaching Module/RPP are not optimally utilized, resulting in low student engagement during lessons. This study aims to identify the problems encountered in planning, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum in IRE subjects, as well as to explore teachers’ efforts to address these challenges. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this field research involved elementary school principals, IRE teachers, other subject teachers, and students as data sources. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal key issues in planning, such as difficulties in developing ATPs and teaching modules and in implementation, including ineffective use of teaching methods, media, and technology. To overcome these challenges, teachers have introduced various evaluation strategies to improve learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

Print media remains a powerful tool for communication and learning, especially in education and information dissemination. This research explores the development of print media with a focus on visual design and storyboard use. The method involves analyzing visual elements color, typography, illustration, and the role of storyboards in structuring content flow. Results show that optimal visual design and effective storyboard planning enhance readability, information comprehension, and user experience. Visuals support clearer communication, emotional engagement, faster understanding, and help overcome language barriers. Meanwhile, storyboards enable structured planning, improve production efficiency, foster team collaboration, reduce costs, and allow early concept evaluation. Continuous innovation in print media is essential to keep it relevant to modern society’s needs.
