Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood. During this period, teenagers face many developmental challenges, both from within and outside themselves, especially in the social area. One of the tasks that must be achieved by teenagers is to accept and utilize the physical conditions of teenagers to overcome developmental challenges. Every individual has an ideal image of what they want, including the ideal body shape they want to have, this is related to body image. The gap between the shape that an individual perceives and the shape that is considered ideal will lead to dissatisfaction with their body. The intensity of accessing social media is one of the social factors that has a strong relationship to teenagers' body image. Here the basic theoretical content is taken from various sources that have been read so that it can help expand knowledge about the impact of the intensity of accessing social media on body image in adolescents. Keywords : social media, body image, adolescence

Abstract

Indonesia, as a multicultural country with diverse ethnicities, religions, teachings and understandings, has the opportunity to open up opportunities for various understandings to influence it. The world of education is one of the potential targets for spreading the seeds of radicalism. Radicalism tends to ignore aspects of diversity (uniformity) and eliminate diversity (plurality). The psychological condition of adolescents is a period that is vulnerable and sensitive to environmental influences. During this period, adolescence is synonymous with the period of searching for identity and the desire to solidify one's philosophy of life. Guidance and counseling services are one of the services in the world of education that is very strategic in tackling the spread of the seeds of radicalism. Counseling services through the multicultural concept are considered very necessary in forming young people who are able to respect each other in every difference. Therefore, this research aims to show that multicultural counseling is one way to foster civilized attitudes in students so that they do not fall into a wrong understanding of differences. Keywords: Multicultural, Counseling, Handling Radicalism, Adolescents

Abstract

Students who migrate and study in Yogyakarta, many live in Islamic boarding schools. The consequence is that they have a dual role, namely the role of a student and the role of an Islamic boarding school student. In addition to study and organizational activities on campus, the obligation that must be carried out is participating in activities at Islamic boarding schools. Academic demands and busy routines are one of the causes of pressure experienced by students. Lack of time management in daily activities due to the role of students as well as students in participating in various activities outside campus such as organizations and others causes psychological pressure, fatigue, decreased interest in learning, irritability, weakened responsibilities, and causes anxiety and depression. The discovery of these problems is the background to the question of how psychological well-being is then associated with peace of mind in the students of the Ulul Albab Islamic Boarding School Balirejo Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative research with a correlation approach method. In this study, as many as 85 samples were taken using a simple random sampling technique after collecting data by distributing questionnaires, then testing the hypothesis using the Pearson product-moment correlation test.
