Abstract

The aim of the research is to understand the marketing communication strategy for the Skincare Mako by Seris brand to increase engagement on social media. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The research results show that the marketing communication strategy for the skincare brand Mako by Seris utilizes the golden time, namely the first three seconds with clickbait sentences. Apart from that, the marketing communication strategy for the Skincare Mako by Seris brand uses soft selling and hard selling marketing communication elements in conveying information by constructing organized sentences. The total engagement obtained through TikTok video content per week is 0.65% of the overall results (2.55%). This figure is still below the average engagement standard at the normal level, namely 5.3%. For this reason, Mako by Seris held live streaming activities to increase its performance and succeeded in increasing consumer engagement by 1.6% weekly.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the nationalism message conveyed by Gus Muwafiq in his preaching on the YouTube channel. This research uses media textual analysis methods. The results of this research show that Gus Muwafiq's nationalism message contains: 1). History, namely relating to the phases where the Indonesian nation was a separate kingdom, until it became a unified state, the Republic of Indonesia. 2). Religiousity, Gus Muwafiq's preaching contained the knowledge that this nation was built though Islamic values, even applied to the constitutional level. 3). Love. It is related to the development of a sense of pride in the nation where love of the homeland is the basis for the strength of the nation. 4). Ideology, namely Pancasila as the ideology of the Indonesian nation is the basis of the nation and state.

Abstract

The film Sharing Space is a film that provides an overview of the culture of the Aceh Gayo people who live side by side with Sumatran elephants. This research discusses cultural representation in the film Sharing Space by WWF-Indonesia and Visinema Pictures. The aim of this research is to describe cultural representations in the film Sharing Space by WWF-Indonesia and Visinema Pictures. This research method uses media text analysis with a critical approach. The results of this research indicate that the cultural representation in the film Sharing Space is; 1). The efforts of the Aceh Gayo people to preserve their traditions. 2). The tradition of sharing in the life of the Aceh Gayo people. 3). Aceh Gayo people's concerns about living side by side with Sumatran elephants. 4). The traditions of the Aceh Gayo people in their efforts to survive.

Abstract

This research discusses the process of persuasive communication between parents for broken home teenagers in Krikilan Village, Driyorejo District, Gresik Regency. The aim of this research is to determine and describe the persuasive communication process of parents for broken home teenagers in Krikilan Village, Driyorejo District, Gresik Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The research results show that, first, parents give a good impression so that broken home children feel cared for by their parents, so that parents can give advice for the good of their children. Second, parents are able to package messages in an interesting way so that children do not feel advised when communicating, ultimately children feel that this advice is a necessity for them so they are determined to change for the better. Third, parents must try to make broken home children feel comfortable when they are at home. This condition is needed so that children can feel at home and parents can provide good advice

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the communication patterns of traditional Javanese wedding processions in Batankrajan Village, Gedeg District, Mojokerto Regency. The main focus of this research is to understand how traditional Javanese wedding communication patterns are used to preserve and maintain Javanese cultural values. This study uses qualitative research methods with a cultural approach. The results of the research reveal that communication patterns in traditional Javanese wedding processions in Batankrajan village are very organized and influenced by strong cultural norms. Communication is carried out through various means, including formal verbal communication such as speeches and statements, as well as non-verbal communication demonstrated through traditional rituals and symbols. During the event, linear communication is clearly visible in the form of announcements and ritual implementation, while primary communication patterns emerge in the interactions between the bride and groom's family and invited guests
