Abstract

IoT (Internet of Things) is a concept that aims to utilize continuously connected internet connectivity, there are several IoT capabilities including data sharing, remote control and so on. One use that can be used is for security purposes, such as for safety riding , namely a Smart Helmet. The emergence of cases of motorbike theft and robbery requires vehicle owners to be more careful and increase their vigilance. Much has been done to prevent motorbike theft and robbery, for example using multiple locks and installing alarms on vehicles, but unfortunately some of these methods cannot completely overcome the rampant theft and robbery that is currently occurring. Apart from that, awareness among motorcyclists regarding the use of helmets is currently very minimal, which will have a fatal impact if the rider is involved in a high-profile accident without wearing a helmet. This thesis proposes a solution by developing a smart helmet, namely by providing facilities and equipment to anticipate crime while driving. Apart from that, this smart helmet will send a message if a robbery occurs and immediately send the driver's position. This helmet is integrated with the motorbike engine so the motorbike engine will stop if it is far from the helmet and the motorbike will not start if the helmet is not used. This Smart Helmet is designed based on IoT by using a Wireless module to connect to the motorbike engine, a GSM module for the alarm and notification system, and a GPS module to determine the location which is integrated with Google Maps.

Abstract

The development of information technology is currently developing rapidly and rapidly, which is supported by one of the means, namely computers. Of course, computers that are equipped with certain applications are used to help make human work easier in managing data for an organization or company so that they get accurate results that meet their needs. The results of observations that have been made show that sales and purchasing activities still use manual systems, one of which is in clothing stores. Starting from processing goods data, difficulties checking stock, purchasing transactions, sales transactions, as well as storing other data related to all types of activities, which can cause losses for shop owners, errors in recording and inaccurate reports being made. Judging from the large number of transactions carried out at clothing stores, a faster and more accurate information system is needed. Therefore, the author created a computerized program design using the Microsoft Visual Basic.net programming language and MySQL database, so that information and activities that occur can be carried out quickly and accurately. The method used in designing this program uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model. This RAD model is an adaptation of the high-speed version of the waterfall model for the development of each software component. The results achieved from discussing this theme are in the form of ready-to-use sales and purchasing program applications. In this case, the use of program applications is the best solution to solve existing problems, and by using program applications an effective and efficient activity can be achieved in supporting activities, especially for handling sales and purchasing problems.

Abstract

The rapid development in the field of information technology has resulted in a significant change in the way music is listened to. The current digital generation prefers to listen to music online through their digital devices. Thus, designing User Interface and User Experience on Mobile Music Player Applications using the User Centered Design method which consists of Plan the human centered process, Specify the context of use, Specify user and organizational requirements, and Produce design Solution. The target audience for this design is productive age children 15-35 years old with product limitations that only reach the prototype stage and feature services that are still lacking. The platform used is the android and ios mobile platform and UI design by making Wireframe of the application design.

Abstract

Purwokerto is a city in Central Java Province. Purwokerto's development is currently relatively rapid, both in the economic and educational fields. There are many boarding houses for rent in the Purwokerto area, especially around campuses and business areas. However, the majority of boarding house owners still market their boarding places manually, such as putting up the words 'Accept Boarding House' in front of the house or by hiring a jockey. Along with current technological developments, especially in the smartphone sector, many applications have emerged that help users. To bridge the needs of users and boarding house providers, an application is needed that can display information on boarding houses in Purwokerto. The application was built on a mobile basis with the Android operating system for users who want to find a boarding house. Meanwhile, boarding house providers use a web-based system that can update boarding house advertisements. The method used in preparing this research uses the Waterfall model. The testing stage is carried out by conducting product tests. Product testing is carried out by testing the application using the reliability and attributes durability, conformance, serviceability, apperarance and perceived quality. The Android-based boarding house information system in Purwokerto can help users or boarding house seekers to obtain information about boarding houses more quickly, so the user becomes more efficient in Look for the accommodation you want.

Abstract

The development of Information Technology has become increasingly rapid. Many agencies or companies that have used information systems for operations processes that manually become an automated and integrated system. One of which is a parking system. In Indonesia there are still many vehicle day care stations that use a parking system manually. This makes the parking attendant unfamiliar with the price set and the lengths of time parked the vehicle and make it difficult in the process of calculating the report of parked vehicles. For this reason, an integrated parking system is needed so that it can be applied to manual vehicle storage. So in making the parking system uses the concept of programming. The concept of the program to be used is the concept of Object Oriented Programming with the Java programming language and the editor uses Netbeans 8.2 to run the program. The method in conducting this research is to use 2 methods, namely the method for collecting data with the description method and the method for developing a waterfall system. With the parking system will provide convenience for parking users and also make efficient parking attendant performance. So expect speed, and accuracy in collecting vehicle parking at a vehicle storage in Indonesia.

Abstract

Has several interesting tours, one of which is Ara Garden Tourism, a place in the form of an artificial tourist park located in Bagan Batu, Riau, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir Regency. However, ticket purchases can only be made by buying directly on the spot when entering the tourist spot. This can make it difficult to order tickets because of the large number of visitors. So here the e-ticket application design will be made using the RAD method to analyze and design applications for online ticket booking at Ara Garden Tourism. In this design using dart and fluter programming languages ​​as application development, using VCS (Microsoft Visual Studio Code) as a code editor in creating the application. Therefore I use a database that functions to store and manage data through SQL commands or queries, applications that have more complex data processing are postgreSQL. The Ara Garden tourist ticket application has been created and the prototype of the application was tested by sending a questionnaire to 20 respondents with an average score of 4.021 and most of the responses from potential users said that the ticket prototype was easy to understand and use. So here we will try to create an e-ticket application design. E-tickets can make it easier for buyers or visitors to get them because they don't need to come directly to the tourist attraction.

Abstract

During the dry season, the intense heat of the sun is highly sought after by Indonesian communities for various needs, one of which is drying clothes that are still wet. Therefore, Indonesians prefer using clotheslines as a medium for drying clothes. Essentially, in addressing the issue of clotheslines, an automated control system is needed. Advances in the field of science and technology, particularly in IoT (Internet of Things), will lead to new innovations. One such innovation is an automatic clothesline control system, which helps and simplifies human tasks. The system automatically moves or shifts dried clothes to a place that is not exposed to rain. In this research, an automatic clothesline system is designed to secure clothes during rain or other weather changes using several sensors: rain sensor, Light Dependent Resistor (LDR), and Temperature and Humidity Sensor (DHT), as well as an external fan that functions as additional drying assistance during rain. This system utilizes the ESP8266 microcontroller and is based on the Internet of Things, allowing remote monitoring and control via smartphone. Based on conducted tests, this system effectively responds to weather changes.

Abstract

Blind people in Indonesia, who are estimated to number around 3.75 million people, face major challenges in their daily mobility. In the era of technology 4.0, various innovations have been developed to help them, including the use of walking aids such as smart blind sticks. This research aims to design and build a smart blind stick based on the ESP32 microcontroller, which is equipped with an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and water level sensor to detect holes and puddles of water, as well as a vibration module and speaker to provide warnings. The research method used is the prototyping method, which involves collecting system requirements, making prototypes, and evaluating users. The research results show that this smart blind stick is effective in providing warnings of obstacles on the road through vibration and sound, as well as making travel easier and increasing the safety of blind people. All main components function as expected, making this device a practical and innovative solution for improving the mobility of blind people.

Abstract

This study designs a flood detection prototype by measuring water flow speed and water level using a flowmeter sensor, water level sensor, buzzer as a warning device, and ESP32 microcontroller as the controller. The research was conducted through a literature review, collecting data from journals, online articles, and statistics related to sensor technology and ESP32. This research aims to design, develop and test a prototype of an integrated smart early warning system for risk management and mitigation in dam areas. The system is designed to be able to detect potential hazards in real-time, such as sudden increases in water volume, extreme rainfall, potential landslides on dam slopes, or structural damage. Testing ensured that all components functioned as expected, with results demonstrating reliable system performance. This IoT prototype successfully monitored dam parameters in real- time, with an average delay of 42 ms, 84.3 ms, and 73.8 ms, no data packet loss (0%), and stable throughput at 92.6 Kbps, 83.8 Kbps, and 86.2 Kbps.

Abstract

To determine the location of Family Planning Counseling automatically, this research developed a web-based decision support system using the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) method with PHP programming and a MySql database. This system uses several variables as decision support indicators such as the number of couples of childbearing age, number of contraceptive users, location accessibility, costs, number of family cards, number of family planning participants, number of children and education, with 33 alternative regencies/cities in Sumatera Utara region. Based on the analysis carried out, the results of the top 5 alternatives are regencies/cities, namely Deli Serdang (127851), Medan (103020), Langkat (67047), Simalungun (53025), and Asahan (48598). So it can be concluded that this research achieved the results expected by the BKKBN.
