Abstract

Fiber Reinforced Polymer ( FRP ) is a material that is lightweight, strong, antimagnetic and corrosion resistant. This material can be used as an option to replace steel as reinforcement material in the construction of reinforced concrete or as material to add strength to existing construction. This study aims to determine: the behavior of the influence shear strengthening fiber reinforced polymer toward load and deflection concrete beam in the structure by the method of FRP reinforcements on the outer side of a sheet of woven carbon fiber. The shape and spacing of windings, namely: winding method U with the distance of each winding 50 mm and 150 mm . This study begins with a tensile steel ( fy ), the test characteristics of aggregate , concrete mix design f'c = 25Mpa, making concrete cylinders Ø = 15 c, t = 30cm, curing and compressive strength test 28 days. Furthermore, to analysis beam, sheets of woven carbon fiber. Then given the test object beam shear reinforcement in the form of woven carbon fiber sheets by the method of winding U with the distance of each winding 50 mm and 150 mm. Shear strength capacity test is done with concrete beam flexural test. The maximum load for the results of this study of normal concrete beams, FRP U-50mm, U150mm respectively were: 67 kN, 70KN, 70KN and deflection were: 1.94 mm, 2.94 mm and 2.79 mm. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencahayaan alami dalam ruang kuliah EJ Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Makassar dalam rangka menciptakan suasana ruang kuliah yang nyaman dan sehat dengan adanya pencahayaan alami yang sesuai standar. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah ruang kuliah EJ Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Makassar.Metode yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu melakukan pengukuran langsung pada beberapa titik yang telah ditentukan dangan menggunakan alat ukur lux meter. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh dari pengukuran kemudian dihitung nilai rata-rata tingkat pencahayaannya menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi langit cerah = 162,8 lux, pada kondisi langit berawan = 96,7 lux, dan pada kondisi langit mendung = 40,1 lux, dengan demikian distribusi pencahayaan alami pada ruang kuliah EJ Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Makassar belum mencapai standar pencahayaan ruang kuliah yang disarankan yaitu sebesar 250 lux, untuk itu diperlukan pencahayaan buatan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pencahayaan ruang kuliah EJ Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Makassar.

Abstract

This study aimed (1) Analyze changes in land use Rantepao Town area. (2) Analyze the influence of land use changes and their impact on existing drainage in the Rantepao Town area. The research was conducted from May to July 2011 at Rantepao, North  Toraja regency, the study used are observation / measurement in the field, questionnaires, and data documents. This was intended to obtain data from relevant institutions or offices. The results of this study reveal that changes in land use of land in Rantepao are strongly influenced by the function of land in paddy field area, as well as garden areas that has been changed in to settlement areas. This influences the pattern of utilization system. These changes directly affect the drainage network due to the number of settlements. And it has an impact show by the increase of flood discharge plan (Q) in the region.Keywords: change in the Use of land, drainage networks

Abstract

Level of vulnerability of small islands in Indonesia are high to disasters due to climate change, impact on sea level rise, increase in rainfall, and temperature rise. This affects sectors of community life in a small island, namely the settlement, economy, agriculture, tourism, etc.This paper focuses on disaster mitigation in small island viewed from the perspective of the architectural layout of the building and the environment in facing disaster risk. The impact of disasters on community can be prevented as focusing on the arrangement of the buildings and the environment, with technology engineering effort. Spatial planning for disaster mitigation conducted by adjusting the structure and patterns of space utilization with the vulnerability of the region to various forms of natural occurrence that could potentially occur.

Abstract

Lecture room as a place of education requires a tranquility in the learning process. To improve the effectivity and productivity of lecture activities, then the purpose of this study was to determine the acoustic conditions of the environment and room on the building of the Architecture Department of Hasanuddin University, Tamalanrea, based on the potential noise levels. Evaluation of the lecture room acoustics based on the parameters: noise criteria (NP), noise insulation, direct arrivals, Reverberation Time (RT), warmth, intimacy, and diffusion. The results of the study in general shown that environmental conditions and lecture room has not fulfilled the criteria for appropriate acoustics, so it requires improvements to the room acoustic design. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of loading vehicles on thick layers of the road surface. The method used in the analysis is the method of asphalt components. The amount of load transferred through the wheels on the vehicle depending on the total weight of the vehicle axis configuration. Other vehicles with different axle load, comparable to the standard axle load by using the "axis load Equivalent (E)". Variation of equivalent exponent (E) x of the same data obtained minimum layer of foundation on exponent of 4.

Abstract

Plastics which are classified as inorganic wastes take a long time to decompose. The amount of plastic that is continuously increasing requires serious treatment to avoid its environment problem. It is therefore important to minimize the discharge of waste with reusing and recycling, so that the disposed waste will be fewer. This research aims to find the effect of plastic pellets as a coarse aggregate to the weight-volume, compressive strength, and split tensile strength of concrete compared with normal concrete (crushed stone as the coarse aggregate), and to determine classification based on the weight-volume and compressive strength of concrete. The results of the research showed that the higher levels of plastic pellets in concrete, the lower the weight-volume, compressive strength, and split tensile strength of concrete, where a decline to normal concrete. According to SNI 03-3449-2002, concrete with 60% and 80% pellets levels are not classified as lightweight concrete, whereas concrete with 100% pellets levels are classified as structural lightweight concrete because its weight-volume is less than 1850 kg/m3. The results of compressive strength test showed that concrete with 60%, 80%, and 100% pellets levels are categorized as structural lightweight concrete because its compressive strength is more than 17,3 MPa, whereas according to SNI 03-3449-2002 are categorized as structural lightweight concrete. Abstract

The research was conducted on the basis of the increase in flexural tensile strength of concrete and waste utilization polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of type of Polyethylene Terephthalate fiber plastic ( PET ) to slump value , volume weight and flexural tensile strength of concrete with high levels of variation of 0.0 % , 0.1 % , 0.3 % and 0.5 % . Specimens used for robust experimental dance, using a beam with a 10 cm high, 10cm wide and 40 cm long. The procedure was performed starting from the preparation of materials , inspection / testing of materials , the concrete mix design , manufacture specimen , specimen maintenance and testing of flexural tensile strength of concrete .The results of the study as follows : BN = 5.37 MPa , B. PET 0.1 % = 5.89 MPa , B. PET 0.3 % = 6.47 MPa , and B. PET 0.5 % = 6.86 MPa . Thus flexural tensile strength test results of concrete can be concluded, the more the percentage of fiber additions on each specimen, the value of the flexural tensile strength of concrete is the better. Proven flexural tensile strength of concrete testing was done with the addition of PET 0.1 %, 0.3 % and 0.5 %.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to test the characteristics of rainfall and river flow discharge in the river Maros Based on consideration of the safety factor in planning, then the selection of the data flow is taken so that the largest flood peak discharge values were selected based on the results of the analysis of rainfall of each which is considered to represent in the calculation.  Increased erosion due to human activities upstream can affect the water level so that the value of the resulting discharge becomes smaller because of the sedimentation material deposition. The analysis is then used a variety of methods for precipitation method Normal Distribution (XT = X + k * Sd) and a Pearson Type III distribution method (X = X + k. Sd) and to the intensity of rainfall is the method Mononobe (I = 2/3 ) for the analysis of debits with synthetic hydrograph method method Nakayasu and Rational. Keywords : rainfall,debit,intensity, Maros river
