Abstract

The Dutch Colonialism-Imperialism Buildings nowdays can be seen spread spatially at big towns in Indonesia., especially in Makassar, they were seen spread in the every corner of the town, because of Makassar or ujung pandang were one of the biggest port as a portal to east Indonesian region. The Dutch colonialism buildings has a certain form characteristic of Facade as European Architecture style, the originality of it’s facades are changed as well, they are following the environment and climate in indonesia wich is a tropical climate, the changed characteristic and adaptation of facade characteristic it’s will be a subject to discuss ini this journal.

Abstract

Duri traditional house is one of heritage building in South Sulawesi the position of between buginese and torajanese. It have form the same bugis traditional houses as use longtang system. In the past different buginess and Duri is function of every lontang but this now function lontang was the same buginese house. Beside that transformation space of Duri traditional houses of front space and tamping space. Usually space transformation based of necessary of dweller. Abstract

The aim of this research is  to know the effect of gradation natural aggregate to the characteristic of fresh concrete. Gradation of aggregate are found from composition of size granular fine and coarse aggregate. The method of research is an experimental method. Sample were made from four kinds of fine aggregate (zone 1,2,3, dan 4) and three kinds of coarse aggregate with the same composition. The result of research are good slump value made from zone 1 (very rough), zone 2 (rough), and zone 3 (fine). The fine aggregate with fines granular (zone 4) give eligible slump if mixed with coarse aggregate size of 40 mm. Required the appropriate bleeding acquired in the use of fine aggregate zone 1, zone 2, zone 3 and zone 4. Maximum grain size of coarse aggregate has no effect on the bleeding produced. The appropriate density factor required is obtained on the use of fine aggregate zone 1 and zone 2. Maximum grain size of coarse aggregate has no effect on the density of the resulting.

Abstract

The increasing development of technology at this time, resulting in the need for facilities and infrastructure such as buildings, roads, bridges, and so is also increasing. This research aims to find the effect of plastic pellets as supplementary material or as a substitute for the coarse aggregate in weight-volume, tensile strength, and flexural strength of concrete due to the use of plastic pellets. Concrete mixture used cement, water, sand, and crushed stone, plastic pellets also replace some or all of the crushed stone. Pellet is a type of plastic waste polypropylene (PP) of bottled water containers are processed to resemble the shape of crushed stone. Concrete mix design used SNI 03-2834-2002 with a compressive strength of 20 MPa plan. Variations in the sample of concrete were levels of without pellets, pellet grade with 60%, 80%, and 100% of the volume of crushed stone. Specimens in the form of cylinders and beams were tested at 28 days. The test results of concrete with plastic pellets levels 60%, 80%, and 100% were weight-volume of concrete in a row at 1967 kg/m3, 1778 kg/m3, and 1676 kg/m3, tensile strength of concrete in a row at 1,52 MPa, 1,46 MPa, and 1,10 MPa, flexural strength of concrete in a row at 2,54 MPa, 2,61 MPa, and 2,19 MPa.

Duri and Bugis Traditional houses have lontang system.Function first until third lontang have diferent of this etnict. Ladder position of Duri houses are side main building while bugines houses of front main building difference function of lontang is caused by position ladder.

Abstract

Traditional architecture builds upon rules adopted traditions of local communities. Traditional architecture is also a formation of cultural elements that grow and develop along with the growth of a tribe that serve as an identity of the tribe. Traditional architecture should be preserved in order to maintain their extinction. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in the traditional architecture of Bugis Makassar on the roof of an office building in the city of Makassar. Samples were selected intentionally, namely the office of Governor of South Sulawesi, South Sulawesi Provincial Parliament offices, office Makassar City Council, and the Office of PT. PELNI Branch Makassar. Data obtained through field observations, interviews with planning consultants, building users, and tracking documents. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the traditional architecture of Bugis Makassar amended on the roof of the building, namely: a) The shape of the roof, b) color of the roof, c) arrangement timpalaja / sambulayang, and d) the height / slope of the roof.Keywords: Makassar Bugis traditional architecture, roof, change

Abstract

The study aimed to compare the compressive strength and unit weight of normal concrete with concrete using extreme temperature wate, cold water temperature is + 0 °C and hot water temperature is + 100 °C. As a comparison sample used normal concrete using water temperature + 4 °C. The composition of the concrete mix is volume ratio 1:2:3 and the amount of concrete cube specimen every 15 cubes, a total of three kinds of concrete sample; NC, CC and HC. Specimens used were 150 mm concrete cube. Measurement of unit weight using the balance sheet and compressive strength testing using a Universal Testing Machine capacity of 100 tons. The results showed an average unit weight at 28 days of the concrete samples NC, CC and HC, respectively 2151.11 kg/m3, 2210,37 kg/m3 and 2121,48 kg/m3. Average compressive strength at 28 days, respectively kg/m2 106.05, 104.39 and 167.69 kg/m2 with a maximum compressive strength of 181.76 kg/m2 in concrete using hot water.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the bending behavior of composite reinforced concrete beams containing styrofoam Research done by making test specimens of reinforced concrete beams measuring 15 cm x 20 cm x 250 cm with 12 pieces of test objects consisting three test specimens for each variation of styrofoam 0%, 30%, 40% and 50%. Tests carried out using a loading frame with monotonic loading system by giving two (2) periodic load point with a 1 kN to beam bending collapse. The mechanism of the collapse of the beams have the same pattern.

Abstract

In Function Follow Form Theory, form is a major focus in the design, making visual acceleration is very important, while the function of the space must be able to follow and set based on pre-existing forms. This theory also spawned the development of concepts forming and shaping a more advanced, such as the superimposition and hybrid. Furthermore, advancing of how to combine and blend adaptively the geometric forms as a free and non free direction. With these forms, the layout planning, configuration and interaction of existing space in the shell form of brutality becoming a special concern in the design, because of the design process will be reversed in the review of its design criteria for a functional space requirements such as air conditioning, lighting, acoustics and flow circulation.
